The Sister He Never Knew Existed

Settling down not long after that she drifted off to sleep her body beginning to ache more than it had been the occasion shiver and she could feel the congestion. The night past with out any incidents and she woke up around noon the following day. After waking up she looked at her phone seeing a message from Bakugo ~Don't forget I expect those bowls back at my moms tomorrow empty. There will be two more on the porch for you. See you again soon~ and she smiled laughing some. "He is too good to me" she said to herself before pulling out the other bento, using her flames she heated it up carefully before enjoying another one of his home cooked meals. She really enjoyed his cooking and he didn't cook for her too often so she wanted to make sure to enjoy every bite before doing the same as she has been. Go out on patrol around the city help catch and apprehend villains before turning in for the night. The following day when she woke up she felt weak was burning up and it hurt to move. She just kept thinking she had to take the bowls back to Bakugos parents house. After she gathered her things she too flight rather sloppily compared to her normal flights heading to bakugos parents. It was mid day so no one would be home she figured she would put the bowls down and take a small nap in his backyard remembering it had the tall privacy fencing. 

Upon arriving she did just that placing the old bento containers on the porch in the same place the new ones were putting the new ones in her bag. After making sure no one was around she hovered over his parents tall fence. Putting her bag in one the chairs and curling up on the outdoor couch that was part of their furniture set out back. It was covered from weather and too much sun near the back of the house. Not long after laying down she fell back asleep she felt terrible. The thought of going back crossing her mind or even just staying at hawks. She was realizing the cold was just getting worse the longer she was out on her own. Several hours later Bakugo's mom returned home seeing the empty bowls taking them inside. As she got to the kitchen she looked out the window by there sink into the backyard and she saw Shinta asleep out there. Setting the bowls down she went out to get her wondering why she was there. As soon as she set her hand on Shinta she could feel she was burning up and she immediately went into mom mode waking shinta up. "Lets go your coming inside" she said helping shinta up as she swayed trying to stand. Getting her inside she put her to bed in Bakugo's room before pulling out her phone calling her son. "What do you want woman?" He asked answer after two rings. "Your little bird is here. She is sick. Come and get her, she needs to back at UA" his mom said in her normal explosive tone. "Damn it! I told her she needed to tell me if she needed anything" he growled blowing up on the other side of the phone as well. "Quiet down and just come get her!" She snapped back "Yeah, Yeah I'm coming" he said hanging up. 

Quickly after the call he went to Aizawa's place to fill him in. They both agreed it was time to bring her home regardless of how she felt about being back at UA. Aizawa called up Shinso to finish his patrol and get back home as fast as he could. Once he arrived he and Bakugo headed to get Shinta. Meanwhile shinta came to a little looking around the room realizing where she was before she was back asleep again. About twenty minutes later the two arrive at Bakugo's parents and walked in. "Mom were here. Not staying just getting her and leaving. See you this weekend" he said passing the kitchen where his mom was currently cooking dinner and she just rolled her eyes. Bakugo opened his bedroom door seeing her sprawled out on his bed; as much as he wanted to enjoy her cute sleeping form right now wasn't the time. "Alright Shinso do your thing" he said before stepping back out of the way. Shinso walked over sitting next to her on the bed, the warmth of her fever emanated from her and he sighed placing his hand on her shoulder. He shook her gently "Hey sis, time to get up" he said calmly like he was trying to wake her, he knew she typically could tell when he was using his quirk on her so he hoped it would throw her off. Shinta grumbled before lifting her head looking up at Shinso and then at Bakugo. "Shinso? Bakugo? What are doing here?" She asked sleepily. "To visit you. How are you feeling?" Shinso asked her seeing how out of it she truly was. "I feel…" she said and a small smile hit Shinso's lips. He looked over at bakugo and nodded meaning it worked. "Alright time to go home. Hop on my back" he told her and she did just as she was told. Bakugo was amazed it worked so well but was also worried about her. Bakugo quickly grabbed her bag and the three of them were on their way back to UA. They were going to take her directly to the infirmary first and foremost upon arriving their. Bakugo messaged Aizawa letting him know they were on the way back with her along with how sick she was to help them prepare before they arrived. 

Upon arriving to the infirmary Aizawa ensured bakugo that Shinta would be alright and that he would keep him in the loop before sending him on his way back to the dorm. Shinso carrying Shinta asleep still on his back kept his grasp on her while they got an ice bath together. The first step was going to be to lower her fever. Shinta already naturally ran warmer than the average person due to her flames, the fever she had deadly even for her. "We need to hurry, I can feel her temperature rising. You know she only stays 'dormant' for so long even when she is asleep" Shinso said to Aizawa who nodded. "Yea, I remember. We learned about her random combustions from night terrors that way. She was so scared still when we brought her home. We learned from that for a short time after she falls asleep her body temperature will lower to almost a normal level. Lets just hope we got her back in time for the ice bath to work" Aizawa said as the doctors flagged the two of them to bring her back to the room. Shinso set shinta down in one of the chairs for a moment from his back so he could pick her up to get her into the tub of ice. The moment Shinta was lowered into the ice the entire room filled with steam a small thud heard from the center of the room where the tub was. When the steam cleared everyone stood there in shock for a moment. The entire tub had melted down the ice completely gone; Aizawa groaned "great" he mumbled. The doctors as at shock as it was to them for what they saw were quick to action. The made a phone call and with in a few moments a new tub was rolled into the room full of ice "What if she melts that one too?" Aizawa asked them Shinso was propping her up against himself sweat beading from her forehead due to the heat coming off of her. 

"Don't worry sir. The metal this tub is made from was specifically designed to withstand even the heat coming off of her" the doctors said reassuringly as a few nurses wheeled in carts of extra ice. Shinso sighed before they attempted to again put her into the ice bath. Luckily to their surprise and relief the tub remained intact, the nurses kept refiling the tub with ice as quickly as as they could. The doctor continued to monitor her temperature until she finally seemed to stabled out back at her normal temperature. Getting her temperature under control they kept her in the tub placing one more layer of ice on her while they prepped one of the long stay rooms of the infirmary. After Aizawa voiced concerns he had for when she wakes up they changed the room location to one of the more reenforced rooms. The doctors putting just the essentials in the room with guidance of Aizawa before Shinso was directed to carry her into the room and place her on the bed. Two nurses went in after him shooing all the boys out of the room so they could change Shinta into some dry clothing that Aizawa had brought with him earlier after getting he call they were coming. He hoped if she woke up in familiar clothes even if the room wasn't familiar it would help; he knew just how unpredictable she could be when she wakes up in a location different from where she fell asleep. After they got her changed they hooked up iv fluids and medications before hooking her up to the monitors they needed. Once complete they came out of the room letting both Aizawa and Shinso know what was going on. "Shinta is resting, seems stable for now. We have her on strong antibiotics to fight the virus she has as well as fluids. She was very dehydrated and it seems up until the past few days hasn't been eating much. That on top of her being sick just made it much worse than she could fight off on her own. Go get some rest, we will be keeping her monitored and we have the precautions all set up like you want. If anything changes we will inform you including if she wakes up" the head nurse told the two who sighed in relief. "You guys got her here in time that is what matters" the nurse said as they were heading out they both nodded there head before heading off in their respective directions for the night. 

Over the next few days Aizawa kept going to check on Shinta the nurses kept telling him she seemed to be doing better but hadn't woken up yet. Much to his surprise no incidents had happened while she had been asleep either. Finally on day five after classes were done for the day Aizawa phone rang and he picked up almost immediately seeing it was the infirmary. "Sir she is awake. She is not taking it well and freaking out" the head nurse told him he could hear the screams coming from Shinta's room through the phone and the nurse wasn't even in the room. "Alright, I'll be there shortly with one of her classmates" he said before hanging up and going to get Shoto. He was hoping that seeing him, that he is alright would help. "Shoto come with me. Shinta is awake and I need your help talking to her" Aizawa said after managing to pull Shoto aside. "Why me? Why not Bakugo?" Shoto asked him surprised in the request. "Because she cares about you. You were one of the first people she asked about they told me when she woke up after that fight. Shinta got between you and your brother because she cares about you both and wanted the fighting to stop. Now I ask you to help me, she needs to see someone she helped save that she cares about. Bakugo is the one who managed to bring her back, she may be a bit mad at him for that. Plus at the moment she doesn't realize she is at UA" Aizawa explained and Shoto nodded he knew Aizawa was right and he cared about his sister even if Endeavor didn't. "Lets go; What do you mean doesn't realize she is at UA?" He asked as they headed to the infirmary. "You see Shinta had a rough childhood before I adopted her. She was found passed out on the streets covered in burns, she woke up in a hospital as a young girl. She was afraid not sure what was going to happen to her. After that when ever they would transport her they would sedate her, so she always fell asleep one place and woke up somewhere else. Typically another facility or room. Shinta does not like to feel trapped, even more so when she doesn't know where she is" he explained to him as they got there and he patted shoto on the shoulder reassuringly. "Just stay as calm as you can, reassure her she is safe. I am right out here if you need help"He said to Shoto who took a deep breath before slowly opening the door to her room.
