The Sister He Never Knew Existed

"Thanks guys. Truly I wasn't sure how this was going to go. I was honestly afraid you were all going to be mad at me" Shinta admitted. She wanted to try to work on being more open with her friends even more so since her biggest secret is now out. "I can't speak for everyone but I will say this. I'm glad you're back, maybe you made some odd choices along the way but you came home" Uraraka said and everyone agreed with her. Shinta smiled "thanks again. Well now that everyone know why don't we get some food going and watch a movie like the old days" Shinta said and Bakugo hopped up dragging Kirishima, Denki and Shoto behind him to the kitchen. "Shinta go relax one of us will come get you when it's time to eat" she heard from the kitchen and everyone chuckled before dispersing as well. Shinta however staid with Shinso and Aizawa as everyone cleared out. "Dad I'm going to be ok I think. Being back is what's best for me I think really. Give me some time to really get readjusted and to try to get Deku back. After that if you want to know more about the past we can talk about it" she said and he nodded, Shinso was still worried about her but nodded as well. "Sis just come to either of us if you need anything. Even if it's just to have me help you sleep. I will always be here for you" Shinso said giving her a hug before taking his leave for the night. "Shinso right we will always be here for you. You will always have a safe place at our home. Come to me if you need anything. Have a good night and enjoy the time with your friends. When your ready I would like to know what your willing to share" Aizawa said as he got up giving her one last hug for the night before she helped him to the door and he took his leave for the night as well. 

Shinta went up to her room almost nervous to turn the knob. She had packed everything up and took it back to Aizawa's the night she left so she expected it to be pretty empty. After gathering the courage she turned the knob and walked in and looked around. When she brought her stuff up earlier she didn't even look just tossed the stuff in the room so she was just now seeing the room. To her surprise her room was decorated the same way as it was before with a few new additions of photos of her friends as well as one of her and Bakugo from the festival. A few tears fell as she looked around amazed that they did all of this for her and she flopped in her bed. "You guys really are the best" she said out loud hugging her favorite stuffed animal closing her eyes. She figured she would just lay there and enjoy the room till dinner was ready. Laying there she began reflecting on the day and was surprised in herself for being as open as she was. She was also proud of herself for it as well, it was a big step for her. Even with everyone telling her they were glad she was home she still had that fear they were pretending. 

As her eyes began to get heavy she heard a knock on the door before it opened hearing familiar steps come in the room. "Come get some food teddy bear. I made you a special plate already" Bakugo said extending his hand out. Shinta sat up setting her teddy down taking his hand. She smiled chuckling some at how proud he seemed of himself as they headed down to eat. When they walked in it almost felt like the good old days they were just missing Deku. That small feeling like they were pretending still there as she would look around occasionally during the meal like she was trying to make sure it was real. The food was amazing the boys had made two hot pots for the group one being more savory while the other was spicy. Everyone put in what they wanted from the trays laid out. Shinta however had her own platter at her seat with extras of all of favorites. Everyone sat around the table enjoying the food and catching Shinta up on how they all were. It was at the point it dawned on her, she was back but was she a student still? Shinta got lot in her thoughts some as the transition over to desert began and before she knew it there was a slice of her favorite desert in front of her. Her eyes locked in to the plate then on the hand setting it down in front of her before looking up into Bakugo's eyes. A smile crept across her face "you remembered" she said softly and everyone smiled at the cute moment. The boys remembering how he staid up the night before to make sure to have her favorite desert made for her. "Of course I did. The last time you had this was on our first date if I remember right. So I thought it be a perfect welcome home desert as well" he said to her. "Thank you katsuki" she said and began eating the delicious slice of matcha crepe cake Bakugo had set in front of her. After desert Bakugo, shoto, Denki, Kirishima and Shinta watched a movie in the common area before turning in for the night. As they headed upstairs Shinta grabbed Bakugo's hand after everyone was ahead of them "can you stay with me tonight?" She asked and he nodded leading her to her room. Bakugo could see how hard returning was and after all she had been through it's a big adjustment for her. "Of course" he said as they walked into her room after entering he turned to let her change into her pajamas. Shinta quickly changed and tapped his shoulder letting him know she was done before she climbed into bed getting herself comfortable while he got comfortable before climbing in bed next to her. Almost immediately after she curled up close to him falling asleep listening to his heart beat earning a chuckle from Bakugo. 'She really must be tired. She shared a lot with everyone today too. I know that wasn't easy for her to do, I'm proud of her for that. Hopefully things will get easier for her being back home with us. Now we just need to bring Deku back ' he thought to himself holding her tight drifting off to sleep himself. 

In the morning Shinta woke up to a note on her desk from Bakugo saying he went to class and that she should try to take it easy and just reacclimate to being back home. The note earned a smile that soon faded as she thought about Deku still out there on his own "maybe I'll see him today" she said to herself as she got dressed. Doing a mashup of her look she did around UA with small flares of how she would dress with the league before placing her mask on the side of her head and putting on her hero jacket before heading out to the quad. As Shinta got closer to the gates a few of the news people who had been waiting outside the gates saw her. "Shinta Todoroki can we get a quick interview with you?" One of them says which made her stop in her tracks and look at them annoyed at what they had called her. After taking a deep breath and putting on a pleasant smile Shinta walked over to them after exiting the gates of UA. "First thing; I do not go by that name. My name is Shinta Aizawa not Todoroki. Now what do you want to know?" She asked the lady with anger laced in the words and the lady gulped feeling the anger in each word. "My apologies, after that announcement everyone has been wanting to hear your side of things" she said softly and Shinta nodded "so as we heard during Dabi's announcement that you are also a child of Endeavor. That you were not part of the family and we wanted to know what growing up like that was like?" She asked and Shinta was a bit surprised 'she really just dove right in' she thought to herself "well it wasn't the best childhood but thanks to Touya I felt loved. I was a product of Endeavor's greed and thirst for power and being number one. Much like my brother I was different and he didn't see the potential he wanted. When Touya's accident happened I was removed from the house and the Todoroki name was left behind. That's all I am willing to say on the matter" Shinta said to them knowing the risk of saying this all on television; the risk it puts on endeavor yet she was reveling in the fact he would fall. The lady interviewing Shinta almost seemed at a lose for words at what she had heard as well as how calm Shinta seemed about it all. 

Before the next question could even be asked over the radio that the new van had an announcement was made "possible spotting of Deku…" Shinta tried to listen to what was being said barely hearing the location as another question came at her "after leaving the Todoroki home where did you go?" The lady asked and Shinta sighed she could feel her anger getting worse with the questions being asked. "I don't have time for anymore questions. Gotta go" she said before taking off in flight as quick as she could towards where they said they said Deku over the radio. Shinta knew she was a much faster flyer than before and hoped it would be fast enough to see him finally. Upon arriving she saw him dropping some villains off out front the police station. She staid back until he was on the move keeping him in her sights. soon enough it was like he knew someone was following him and led her to an empty part of the city before he turned around ready to fight before he froze seeing Shinta land behind him. "Hey…long time no see. Can we talk?" She asked him part of her still nervous he would want to fight her.

They hadn't gotten a chance to talk since he found out she is Yami and they fought Shigaraki/All for one together. Deku stood there breathing heavily looking her over as if trying to see if she was friend or foe. "I know what you heard the day of that fight was a lot to take in. Please let me explain. When I left UA I knew I couldn't stay with hawks with that task force looking for me. I had already met up with Dabi before that and as you heard that day he is my brother. So I went to the LOV and to him when I left UA. It was the only other place I felt I would be safe" Shinta said starting off slow but knowing he doesn't like staying in one place too long. "But why become a villain at all? Why did you help them?" He asked her balling his fists she could feel the anger he had at her choices. "Staying there under their protection was only free for so long. Eventually I had to pull my weight, so I was sent on the minor missions mostly. I had a time where I made some risky choices and agreed to let the doctor working with Shigaraki give me another quirk. Which is the ability to use my ask to turn into that form you saw at the fight. Please Deku believe me I never wanted what happened that day to happen. If I would've know I would've tried to at least warn everyone. They kept me in the dark" Shinta said and fell to her knees "I was so scared after that fight. Seeing kachaan, Aizawa, you and everyone else so banged up. Knowing if only I would have tried harder to hear the secret meetings they would hold I could've tried to stop it. I had thought Katsuki died that day. When I woke up at one of the hospitals they wouldn't tell me anything. All I knew is you both were at a different hospital. I went into hiding until I got so sick…if not for Katsuki and his mom…" Shinta said a few tears falling as she spoke. Deku relaxed some realizing he was being too guarded, she was his friend after all. "It's ok Shinta. I get it you had to do what you had to when you were on your own. What do you mean if not for them?" He asked her and she looked up. "I was sick, he was making me food so I could eat after we had finally found each other again. I was swapping the empty boxes for the new ones. I felt like crap so I decided to take a nap in the backyard. His mom found me, I was burning up even for me. They took me back to UA the doctors said I could've died if they didn't get me there in time. I was scared to go back knowing the target that is on me. But Deku it's safe. Trust me please come back it's time, we all need to be together that's how we stay safe" Shinta said and he sighed "I get what your saying I do but I don't know. Not yet how about that. Tell the others I'm alright and maybe I'll be back soon. I need to keep moving I've already staid here too long. I'll reach out Shinta I promise" he said before disappearing into the city around her.
