The Sister He Never Knew Existed

Shinta sighed feeling a bit defeated hoping he would've just agreed and come back. She was also happy he didn't try to fight checking her phone seeing it was around lunch time she thought she would go visit hawks while he was home for lunch. She took off towards hawks penthouse flying over the city high enough where unless you were looking up you wouldn't even notice her. As she got closer to the building she felt like she was being watched but that just made her fly faster touching down on hawks balcony not longer after. Still feeling the eyes on her she quickly went inside seeing hawks sitting at the table, as soon as he saw her he got up and made her a plate for lunch setting it down for her. "Come eat. Let's catch up some" he said with a smile and she nodded. Meanwhile down below Dabi was the one who had spotted her flying towards hawks and followed her. He wanted to see his little sister and make sure she was alright 'what is she doing seeing that bird brain?' He thought to himself as he went into the alleyway by hawks building to camp out till she came back out. As Shinta sat down she felt her phone go off, checking the message she sees just a photo. A photo of dabi's hand holding his blue flame giving off soft light showing the alleyway next to hawks building with a note after the photo ~I'll be waiting baby flame~ and she smiled softly putting her phone back away before starting to eat the lunch before her. "So I heard about your interview this morning. Seeing as that was at UA I take it you finally went home?" He said with a chuckle. "Yea not fully by choice. I was sick, I thought it would pass but I got worse. Last stop of the day I'm gonna drop of a gift for bakugo's mom. She was the one who got them to take me back to UA. She saved me, the doctors said I was sick due to a quirk awakening" she said lowering her voice near the end not sure how hawks would react. 

"Interesting, sounds like more training is gonna be needed soon for ya. I'm the cool cousin; I'll leave the stern stuff like that to Aizawa. I get why you staid away and you came here when you felt you could. That's all I could ask for. I hoped you would go back to UA before it got worse I could tell when you were here you weren't feeling well. But I also know you and how when you have your mind set you don't like to deviate from your plan. Your were in both fight and flight mode at the same time I knew better than to push for you to stay even here at the time. What matters is your feeling better and you know we care about you. When you are feeling up to it we can start doing training again to help make sure you have control over your new quirk and see if we can figure out the quirk awakening as well. At your pace no rush" hawks said as he finished his meal giving her a smile. After finishing her own plate Shinta chuckled "you're such a goof. I appreciate it though truly. Knowing I have a safe place here if I need to get away really helps. You have always understood me pretty well even when words aren't said you've understood what I've meant. I was just so afraid that they would hurt the people I cared about I thought it was safer to stay away. On the training just give me a week or so just so I can try to get used to being back. It still feels so strange, I've been gone for so long. Everyone welcomed me back with open arms which is great it's just going to take some time to get used to being back in the hero world" she said and hawks came over and hugged her "it's alright. You don't have to do patrols or anything like that until you're ready. You don't have to do any work at the agency, you have full access to the training facilities when ever you want to use them. No one will question it. You have my word" he said and Shinta nodded "thanks keigo" she said as he let go and she got up grabbing their plates and taking them to the kitchen. Hawks trying to take them from her "would you stop that your the guest you don't do that" he said as he see her successfully load them into his dishwasher "and like I say every time. We're family I will help out when I'm here" she said playfully punching him in the arm. "I should get back to work. Make sure you come back to visit again soon" hawks said before taking his leave. Shinta headed out a bit after him making sure he was out of sight since she was going to go down to the alleyway to see Dabi.

Once she knew she was in the clear Shinta flew down to the alleyway surprising Dabi some when she touched down "took you long enough. Was hoping I'd see you when I was out and about. I've missed you baby flame" he said pulling her in for a hug. Shinta hugged him back but part of her was a bit annoyed he didn't even warn her about the announcement he had made. "I missed you too. But why didn't you warn me? That threw me off during the fights. It threw everyone off that didn't already know" Shinta said to him as he let go "if I would have even tried to warn you someone could've overheard. Plus what about that interview this morning you did. I saw that you wanted to hit her for calling you that didn't you?" He said chuckling and Shinta punched him in the arm playfully "of course I did. But to have the balls to call me that to get my attention for an interview on live tv? It's like she was trying to get me to hit her" Shinta said and then started thinking 'what if even some of them figured out I'm Yami?'. "You handled it pretty well from what I could tell. And yea she was really going in hard with those questions. Kinda strange I think" he remarked just adding to the thoughts she was having. "But hey that doesn't matter. Shigaraki has asked about you when All for one isn't around. All for one got his body back and separated from Shigaraki. He wanted me to tell you he has to play his role but you followed your orders that day. To him you're still part of the team you earned your place with us. We know right now that may not be the best option to try to come back. More so I'm just saying your room will still be there when ever you come back. I should get back before they wonder where I am. Stay safe baby flame" he said kissing her forehead before heading off to his destination. Shinta smiled softly making sure to leave time between when he left and he taking flight before she flew off to the shopping district to get a nice gift for bakugo's mom. 

Soon enough Shinta arrived near a few stores that she thought would have some good options. She knew his mom also loved to cook so she thought about getting her some new things for the kitchen. After about an hour or so of shopping around Shinta picked out two nice bento box sets and a nice lunch bag and headed off to drop off the present. Classes would be letting out soon if she wanted to make it back before that she needed to hurry. Landing near the home Shinta got the boxes and lunch bag into the gift bag she had picked up. Noticing bakugo's mom wasn't home yet she grabbed the spare key Bakugo had told her about in the past. After unlocking the door she took the gift in setting it on the dining table before locking the house back up returning the key to its hiding spot before she took off back towards UA. 'It's gonna be be close, who know maybe I've gotten a bit faster' she thought to herself as she picked up speed on her way to the school. It had been a long time since she flew at these speeds but she was loving it; it felt so freeing to her. Getting lost in that feeling she felt like she might have picked up a small bit of an improvement in her speed but too soon to tell. Soon enough she could see UA and with one final burst of energy shinta dove towards the dorm building hoping she would make it. As soon as she passed the gates she realized the bell had already rung and she quickly pulled up to not give herself away. Thinking quickly she went to the roof of the dorm building and saw that the little 'nest' area they had made for her was still there; she flopped down on her favorite beanbag that was up there and just looked up at the sky. That way they would just think she had been up there all day, shinta wasn't sure how the others would feel about her leaving the campus. 

Her moment of peace quickly passed when she remembers the interview from the morning and she groans. "I'm probably gonna be in soo much trouble" she grumbles as she hears the door to the roof open. Shinta looked towards the door and saw Shoto walk over and she smiled. Shoto sat down with her returning her smile "Had a feeling you would be up here. We heard about the interview this morning. We haven't seen it yet but heard that the reporter was really coming at you with the questions. Ones that were uncalled for out of the blue like that. We also heard even still you handled yourself pretty well for the situation. That and you apparently flew away from her when she tried to ask you the second question" shoto said and she looked down. "Yea I was trying to pay them no mind and just go fly around and see if I could spot deku. She called me your last name, I haven't gone by that name ever since I was little. Until Aizawa adopted me I didn't have a last name. So when she called me that name I wanted to punch her, but I also realized that would not be smart and put on that fake smile and tried to be nice. I had overheard from one of the scanners they had in their van of a possible sighting of deku. That happened right as she asked me that second question. I had no intentions of answering that anyway" she said to younger brother. "I did see Deku out there. We talked I gave him my side of the story. He found out during the fight that I'm Yami. We hadn't had a chance to talk about it or anything of what had happened that day until today. He said he may come back just not yet. It's progress at least. Maybe next time if we all go we can get him to come back" Shinta said as they heard to roof door opening Bakugo and the gang. "This weekend we are all going to go out and try to convince deku to return. I got a maybe today" shinta said once everyone sat down and they all nodded in agreement "Let do it" Bakugo said with his signature smirk.
