The Strongest Assassin of the Zoldyck Family!

Before long, the countdown ended.

Ron stepped forward.

Opposite him, Shusuke Ito also advanced.

"Ron, I'm counting on you," Dominica said.

"Make sure you win."

He then turned to Wendy. "Wendy, give that to Ron."

Wendy quickly understood, removing a necklace from around her neck and running up to Ron. She carefully placed it around his neck.

"This is a Nen artifact," Dominica explained. "It's not a particularly powerful one, but it should help."

"Thank you," Ron replied, feeling the warmth of the necklace against his skin. A faint, youthful fragrance wafted from it, adding to his focus.

Two beams of light enveloped Ron and Shusuke Ito. 

The next moment, they were transported to the arena.

Shusuke Ito stood on the platform, glaring at Ron as though preparing to speak. 

Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him. 

"Ryūnosuke Akutagawa!" 

"Jaw Barrage!" 

Dark, jagged maws materialized—not just one, but several—lunging at Shusuke Ito from different directions. 

He quickly dodged, but Ryūnosuke's attack speed was incredible, and the sheer number of maws overwhelmed him. 

Even though Shusuke Ito, injured as he was, remained stronger than Ryūnosuke in a one-on-one fight, the relentless and indiscriminate nature of Ryūnosuke's attacks forced him on the defensive. 

"Snap!" 

A stone slab was effortlessly split in half under the force of one of the maws. 

Shusuke Ito's pupils contracted. 

"Such sharpness!" 

"A flesh-and-blood body couldn't possibly withstand this." 

"This Nen Beast's ability is more dangerous than I expected." 

"I can't take this head-on." 

While dodging and blocking, Shusuke Ito analyzed the situation. 

"However, an attack like this must consume a lot of energy." 

"There's no way he can maintain this for long." 

At that moment, a pink figure appeared beside Ron. 

"Killer Queen!" 

Killer Queen materialized three baseball bats. 

One went to Killer Queen, another to Ron, and the last to Hanma Baki, who charged forward with his bat in hand. 

"Demon's Back!" 

A surge of overwhelming aura exploded from Hanma Baki, forcing Shusuke Ito to shift some of his focus to him. 

This divided attention made it harder for Shusuke Ito to handle Ryūnosuke's relentless attacks. 

"These two Nen Beasts… they're both formidable." 

"This kid… he's actually very strong." 

"To have this level of power at his age is honestly unbelievable." 

"Still, I maintain—this level of attack must require an enormous amount of energy. I refuse to believe he can sustain it for long." 

Shusuke Ito began to understand Ron's strategy. 

"This kid knows he can't beat me in a prolonged fight." 

"The longer this drags on, the worse it will be for him." 

"So, he's putting everything into an all-out attack right from the start." 

"It's a gamble." 

"Either he succeeds now, or he knows he has no chance later." 

"In terms of experience, I'm superior." 

"In judgment, I'm superior." 

"The longer this fight goes on, the more advantageous it will be for me." 

Shusuke Ito snorted coldly. 

"Fine, then. I'll focus on defence." 

"Let's see how long you can keep this up." 

Shusuke Ito continued his strategy of fighting while retreating.

Killer Queen, holding a baseball bat, moved to another angle. Shusuke Ito gave the Nen Beast a sharp glance.

"This Nen Beast doesn't exude an overwhelming aura. Earlier, I noticed it produced those baseball bats, which means it's likely more utility-focused than combat-oriented."

Meanwhile, Ron gripped a baseball bat in one hand and the Rotten Life Blade in the other. 

Infusing aura into the blade, a ghostly glow began to flicker along its edge. 

The glow shot toward Shusuke Ito. 

"What is this?" 

His eyes widened in alarm as the light reached him. At the point of impact, he noticed something disturbing—tiny insect eggs had appeared all over his body, leeching his aura like parasites. 

"They're absorbing my aura?" 

"And at such a fast rate!" 

"I didn't expect this kid to wield such a powerful Nen artefact." 

"The ability of this artefact… it's quite similar to the techniques used by Nen users from Taris." 

Shusuke Ito's expression darkened. 

"This is bad. These things are draining my aura too quickly." 

"If this continues, time will no longer be on my side." 

"I need a countermeasure." 

Casting a sidelong glance at Ron, Shusuke Ito clenched his teeth. 

"What a cunning little brat." 

"Starting with full force to keep me occupied, exploiting my injuries from earlier." 

"Then bringing out a devious artefact to turn this into a battle of attrition where I'm at a disadvantage. Such accurate planning." 

"But if he thinks this is enough to defeat me…" 

"He's dreaming!" 

"I'm an A-rank Nen user!" 

" A beast-wielding Emission-type user at that!" 

Aura erupted fiercely from Shusuke Ito's body. 

"If it comes to this, I'll risk aggravating my injuries." 

"If I have to endure a few more attacks from his beasts, so be it." 

"As long as I get close enough to him, he's dead!" 

"His Nen Beasts may be strong, but his body is weak!" 

Ryūnosuke Akutagawa and Hanma Baki's attacks landed on Shusuke Ito, but he gritted his teeth, pushing through the pain and injuries. He manoeuvred past them, his body flashing as he closed the distance to Ron. 

Killer Queen moved to block his way. 

"Move!" 

"Invisible Hand!" 

The Invisible Hand struck Killer Queen, forcing it to retreat. 

Shusuke Ito pressed forward toward Ron. 

Ron raised the Rotten Life Blade, holding it in front of him defensively. 

Ryūnosuke Akutagawa rushed back to Ron's side. 

"Cage of Karma!" 

Dark claws materialized, encircling Ron like a protective cage. 

Shusuke Ito sneered. 

"Break!" 

The Invisible Hand forcefully tore through Ryūnosuke Akutagawa's cage, creating an opening. 

At that moment, Killer Queen leapt into the air, swinging its baseball bat in a wide arc, aiming for the back of Shusuke Ito's head. 

Shusuke Ito head glanced backwards, lowering his stance just in time to avoid the attack.
