The Superior Female Lead Pampers Her Husband Without Limit

Chapter 34: The Superior Female Lead Pampers Her Husband Without Limit 34

Xavi had been distracted lately and ended up making several embroidery mistakes.

"I have to undo it again…"

After repeating the cycle of doing and undoing, Xavi couldn't help but feel discouraged.

The truth was, he missed his wife.

It had already been several days since Jewel had spoken to him properly. Whenever he was embroidering or daydreaming around the house, he couldn't help but wonder what she was doing at that very moment. But no matter how much he thought, Jewel never appeared in front of him.

Xavi looked at the sky outside—it was already completely dark. Still, Jewel hadn't returned. He put on his outer robe, took the candle holder from the table, and walked slowly to the front door.

After a long day and a hurried ride back home, Jewel saw a warm candlelight glowing at the entrance.

In the soft golden glow stood the one she missed day and night. Her little husband was looking around, clearly searching for someone very important.

"Xavi, I'm back."

Of course, Jewel knew her husband was waiting for her. These days, whenever she came back late, he always came out to wait.

After they entered the house, Jewel noticed an embroidered pouch on the table that had been ruined. Her little husband looked downcast and wasn't saying much.

"What's wrong?" Jewel leaned closer. "Xavi, are you upset?"

"No. I'll go get some water. You can freshen up first."

Xavi turned and went to the kitchen. When he returned, he quietly helped his wife with her washing-up routine, just like always.

Jewel took the warm towel from him and casually wiped her face before putting it down.

She felt something was definitely off with Xavi. She knew she needed to do something.

After helping Jewel, Xavi quietly took off the outer robe he had just put on earlier, got into bed, laid down, and shut his eyes.

He didn't look at Jewel even once—not even a glance.

Jewel felt like he was purposely avoiding eye contact.

She watched him move smoothly and quickly into bed, and suddenly felt anxious.

Right now, everything told her—her husband needed to be comforted.

Jewel blew out the candle and walked toward the bed in the dark. But just as she lifted a leg to get in, she tripped over something and almost fell flat on the ground.

She instinctively tried to steady herself and managed to stay upright.

But then she paused… and decided to kick the thing she tripped on and let herself fall to the ground with a loud "thud!"

"Ouch!" she groaned.

"Jewel!"

Xavi had planned to go to sleep like he did the night before, but as soon as he heard Jewel fall, he couldn't hold back. He jumped out of bed.

But before he could reach her, strong arms suddenly wrapped around him tightly from behind in the dark.

"Ah! Jewel!"

Before Xavi could react, those warm arms easily lifted him off the ground. He gasped in surprise.

The next thing he knew, both of them fell onto the bed, sinking into soft, warm blankets together.

Feeling Jewel's familiar warmth behind him, Xavi slowly relaxed his body.

Jewel's voice was low and soft, with a touch of pleading.

"Xavi, don't move. Let me hold you for a while…"

In the dark, their silhouettes leaned against each other, sharing warmth.

Only in the darkness could they let down their guards and speak from the heart.

"Xavi," Jewel whispered, her hand gently stroking his shoulder, "You're obviously upset. Why keep it all inside? Do you want me to worry?"

"You've been really busy lately, so I didn't want to bother you…"

"I'm working hard to make money so we can live better. You are my most important person."

Jewel buried her head in his neck, breathing in his familiar scent that always brought her peace.

"Whatever you want to do, I'll help you. But you have to tell me, okay?"

Xavi turned around to face Jewel and suddenly said, "Jewel, I want to keep learning how to write."

"Learn writing?" Jewel was a bit caught off guard. "Why all of a sudden?"

"When I was little, our family didn't have enough money for both me and my sister to go to school, so I only studied for a short while. You're doing business now, and I want to help. If I keep learning, maybe I can help you manage things…"

He already had a bit of education, and if he studied more, he might become good with numbers too!

Jewel was getting more and more successful, and he didn't want to be a burden.

He wanted to catch up to her, to be someone she could rely on.

He had thought about this a lot over the past few days and had made up his mind.

Jewel understood. Her husband wanted to help her carry some of the weight. And continuing his education was a great idea—why wouldn't she support it?

Besides, Xavi was at the perfect age to study.

Rather than have him sit around at home worrying and overthinking every day, it was better for him to have something meaningful to focus on.

And really—who said getting married meant you had to give up your own dreams?

In her view, "lifelong learning and personal growth" was something everyone should pursue, regardless of their family situation.

She wanted Xavi to follow his heart and make the most of his youth.

If he could really do that, he would become more confident and charming.

"Jewel, I want to learn writing and accounting. My sister might be able to teach me when she has time. You just said I can tell you whatever I want to do… so, can I keep learning?"

"Of course you can."

Jewel smiled and gently pinched his cute little nose. "Besides studying, is there anything else you want to do? Tell me everything!"

"No, that's all."

"Then you can tell me more when you think of something later," she said, planting a kiss on his cheek. "You're such a good boy. Once you learn accounting, I'll hand over the finances to you. I believe my Xavi can handle it perfectly!"

Xavi knew Jewel never guarded him like other wives did with money. But hearing her say it again so clearly still made his heart melt.

"You're the best, Jewel~"

Xavi was full of motivation.

He looked forward to the day he could help Jewel with the business and ease her burdens.
