Shangren Mall under the Li Clan can be said to be one of the most pivotal and outstanding businesses that has a strong connection between the East and the West.

The Li Clan has its strengths and the known ones to the public were the tip of the iceberg.

Chen Kai gave Su Lian a basic rundown of the clan and business he has inherited from his mother. After a breakfast that no single dog should be a witness, he suggested that they take advantage of their weekend alone.

Su Lian was genuinely surprised and had an inkling of pride blossoming in her chest when he revealed that this mega mall was one of his many inheritances. "This is my first visit. I contacted the manager so I may be in work mode for a few minutes. Do you mind?"

He glanced at her relaxed posture in the passenger seat beside him, with his hand boldly on her exposed leg which she held with her own. Her bright smile didn't diminish when she turned to respond to his question. He loved seeing her this relaxed and comfortable beside him.

"I'll treat it as going to work with you."

"Oh? Do you want to play the part of CEOs wife visiting her husband for the day at his multi-billion company?" he teased.

"Hey. Don't dismiss that little fantasy. Any woman would love to experience that. Tsk. If I wasn't working I would have done it," she grumbled.

"We can play on your next day off," he said softly. Amusement and full-blown doting coated his words. Su Lian was clear about Chen Kai's affection for her. This guy will give her the world and also destroy it for her. By his words and actions, she believed in him wholeheartedly. She was lucky in gaining his love and equally happy that she loved him too.

"Okay~" she said cheerfully in which Chen Kai chuckled at her bright mood.

The underground carpark for Shangren Mall can be considered semi-private. Its limited to 200 spaces and only 50 are considered assigned to big names. Five out of that fifty were assigned to the head of the family and the high executives in the clan.

Chen Kai's visit sent waves in the Shangren chat group. Fear and envy were in their words but overall they were sending virtual encouragement to their Nanjing counterpart. The higher-ups of the Li Clan were all domineering in whatever aspect they were in.

They met their new boss virtually and the computer screen did nothing to stop that young master's imposing aura.

Manager Tu read the messages from his so-called brother-in-arms. He scoffed at their sympathizing words. He knows they are dancing in joy from being free of this impromptu visit from the boss.

"Why today though? It's the weekend," he mumbled to himself but his deputy manager, Teng Yan, who was equally nervous heard. What a coincidence that they were both at the branch when the Li Young Master called.

Both shared the ages between 30s and 40s and can be said a bit accomplished for middle-class men. To have a boss younger than them wasn't embarrassing, it was the fear that the young man brought. The kids from those big clans were worlds different from their own brats who were still begging for money from them.

The Deputy manager Teng who is a naturally silent type found his voice and spoke a few words, "The young master is probably coming to play as he said. He had no complaints after the last report."

"Ahh! You can be right, but these bosses always speak a two-tongue language that puts anyone on the edge. Hah~ I shouldn't have eaten such a large breakfast this morning." Manager Tu was still a wreck when they rode the elevator to the underground carpark.

Deputy Manager Teng gave him a sympathetic glance and inwardly thanked the heavens that he wasn't the boss on today's shift.

Tu led the way to the reserved parking area and was in time to see four uniformed guards watching the driver of the Lamborghini Urus complete the reverse park. Two dark-colored cars were on either side, clearly the vehicles of the bodyguards.

"This must be him," Tu murmured as they got closer.

The guards noticed their arrival, and after a quick perusal, they were allowed to come closer at the gestured point.

Teng Yan: That move. Impressive.

Manager Tu: This pomp.

The two stood patiently until they saw the scene of a young lady leaving the car first, a beauty with a fresh face and shimmering eyes, carrying the walking image of unrestrained youth. She nodded in greeting but didn't take the initiative to introduce herself.

Teng Yan: A sister? So polite.

Manager Tu: Please don't be an entitled young lady.

Chen Kai appeared next. His indifferent gaze was familiar to the managers, upon instinct they straightened their backs and greeted him in unison.

"Welcome, Chairman Chen!"

"Mm." His cold response was in line with his business side. The guards and managers weren't offended but Su Lian was curious about this side of his.

"This is the card you requested, sir." Manager Tu offered him a black envelope with the mall's logo printed on the corner. Chen Kai took it and placed it in Su Lian's hands. He already explained to her the contents of the envelope so her smile and quick storing of the card wasn't taken the wrong way.

For the two managers, a switch went on when they saw these actions and thought of the little interactions so far. Diamond card 001 was said to be assigned to the Chairman's wife. The card arrived two days ago from headquarters, the Chairman's card is 000 clearly stating his status, what they didn't expect was for their new boss to be married at such a young age.

Acting upon their deduction, they turned and greeted Su Lian. "Welcome, Young Madam." Chen Kai nodded, pleased by their tact, and asked them to lead the way.

The elevator lighting was at a natural dimness for being underground, placing one in a calm surreal state. To accomplish a feeling by merely entering an elevator, one can see how meticulous the designers and bosses were during the development of the Shangren Malls.

Ground Floor.

The automated voice announced their arrival.

When the doors opened, Su Lian was given priority and the others followed. Chen Kai's gaze was stuck on her. He watched on and collected every micro-expression she made, he was mindful of her mood and body language – overall he wanted to see her reaction to his business.

Being a girl who never holds back genuine reactions, her quiet astonishment was vivid when she took in the view before her.

The glass roof brought in the sunshine, making the luxurious décor of marble and glass even more enchanting. What made her pause in pure wonder was Shangren's specialty. As a mega mall, they refused to be like the others. With their rich resources, they are able to stand tall with the big guys in a fully technology-driven mall. From the basic stationary welcome robot to the holographic minishows.

The mall was a large customized one-stop shop for its customers whether middle class buyers or spendthrift shoppers. It was all dazzling to the eye.

"Amazing!"

A proud smile bloomed on young boss's face with identical ones on the managers' also. The pride of owning and managing this consumer getaway all depends on the visitors' reaction. Su Lian's reaction made all their efforts worthwhile.

"I'll meet up with you; go have fun. Deputy Manager Teng, please show her around this floor." Chen Kai said dotingly in the first half.

"Certainly, Chairman Chen." Teng Yan dutifully stepped up to the plate inwardly cheering at this chance to show off.

Su Lian was amused by this grown man's childlike excitement when he came to her side. Her husband's CEO aura is strong.

Looking back, she blew a kiss to Chen Kai who was still staring at her with a gentle look.

Waving her off, he turned to Manager Tu. A devious smirk appeared on his face, his dark eyes lost their softness. It's a pity that he was doing business during his two-people world but he can't let things go unchecked.

"Don't inform them. How much fun can I have when they are obedient?"

"Sigh~"

Teng Yan glanced warily at the young madam who was now standing still in the entrance of the large Home and Décor store. Arms folded she had a complex look on her face; within the span of 1 minute, she sighed twice.

Is she displeased? Is the store too bright? Too loud? Maybe there are too many people walking around.

Teng Yan the silent pillar: Tell me what's wrong. My self esteem is at stake here. Help me, help you.

He was about to speak that day's portion of words when the young madam spoke.

"Its heart aching."

Teng Yan: ……… "Wh-"

"It's not only heart aching it's also truly vindictive of these big companies to do this." Su Lian huffed in mock contempt eyeing three display showcases on her far right.

"Young Madam?" Teng Yan tentatively called out to her in a seemingly submissive manner. The store manager who knew Teng Yan nearly tripped over his feet when he saw this.

"That! Deputy Manager Teng!" Su Lian softly wailed and gestured to the Anime and game-themed goods on the display cases.

The store manager caught up to them in time to hear Su Lian's little monologue.

"Why do the things you wanted when you were a child pop up when you have adult money? Black marketing. Clever capitalists. Oh! A Haikyu bedroom set for king sized beds. Ooo! New Pokemon merch. Ahhhhh~~~ Sailor Moon is also here." The mature working woman image was broken. Su Lian couldn't care less about being a grown up at that moment.

She had adult money to spend. Hmph!

"Deputy Manager Teng. Welcome. Was that a relative of yours?" The store manager asked politely, watching the redhead darting to the far right of the store to grab the merch she zoned onto. The basket she grabbed earlier was now filled with miscellaneous Anime bathroom and room goods and a second one miraculously appeared. She was intensely comparing one item with another before debating which one to choose like an important life decision.

Teng Yan answered yes without hesitation. The Young Madam's image should be lofty not …. A deprived otaku.

Madam, please have some restraint. Teng Yan inwardly called out to his dear Young Madam when she giddily skipped to a new shelf.

The store manager: "She's so …..carefree. What a rare sight." Translation: Most customers aren't this enthusiastic.

"Yes. Doesn't that mean your store's products suit her taste?!"

The store manager's eyes brighten with realization. The perfect customer – a big buyer and the relative of a higher-up. Joy has sprung. "I'm flattered that your relative is enjoying her shopping experience. Why don't I help her have a smoother trip here?" he said fawningly.

Teng Yan kept his expressionless face but inwardly he was praising the older man for changing his face so quickly. Where was the confident man from a few seconds ago?

"Sure."

The store manager rushed to the worker who was helping Su Lian with her basket and whispered a few words to them.

Su Lian didn't mind the change in staff help, the store manager gave her more information on how things are for big shoppers.

Half an hour later, she felt that familiar presence beside her. A smile involuntarily rose on her lips as she looked through the brochure in her hand.

"Baby."

He softly kissed her cheek and placed a possessive arm around her waist. Su Lian leaned onto his body and showed him the choices she made. Chen Kai had no opposition to her choices. They were a mixture of both their likes.

"Buy whatever you want."

"What a CEO thing to say," she replied playfully jabbing him in the side with her elbow.

"Well I am one, you know."

Her cheeks hurt from smiling too much around this guy. "Then Mr. CEO lets continue our day. I'm the boss from now and you're the lackey."

Kissing her cheek once more, he moved next to her ear and softly bit it, whispering a few words that made her blush. Watching his handiwork, he had an arrogant look on his face that made her face heat up even more. "Chen Kai, there's a time and place for everything," she said through gritted teeth before dragging him to another section.

"I'll listen to you."

Those words.

She placed her hand over her racing heart. No wonder the girls in those romance novels fall deeper for those men. 'Guess I'm another victim.'

The ground floor shopping took an hour or so before they moved upwards, immersed in their two-person world and creating memories. For lunch they dined at one of the signature French restaurants, Shangren Mall had. For a more one one-on-one experience at this upscale eatery of his mall, Chen Kai reserved a table in the main dining area rather than a private booth.

Su Lian didn't mind, she was having a grand day.

They were both fluent in French and ordered their dishes with ease. The waiting time was spent on idle chatter and solidifying their relationship. The more they spoke, the more they understood each other and found themselves more compatible. Su Lian found differences between Chen Kai and the previous one. She didn't find them unpleasant; it added more to him as a person and helped her to accept this whole transmigrator thing.

At least their relationship would never get boring.
