The Werewolf King's Bride

Chapter 576: Demian

(From Demetrius's Perspective)

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Better, actually. A lot better than the previous time," Blue said as she moved around a bit in a very loose nightdress.

I still could not get over how everything happened around midnight. It was hard to process everything, especially because I had not been through it before.

She was not sleeping properly, so when she woke me up in the middle of the night, I thought it was about one of her worries again.

"Dear, we talked about this…"

"No, do you feel the bed beneath my butt?"

"What do you mean?"

"It is wet, so is my nightgown. My water broke," she said calmly.

"What?" I asked sleepily. I did not even hear everything.

"I said I am going to give birth."

"What the fuck? Really? Now?" I exclaimed in shock and jumped up. The sudden movement gave me a headache.

"Why are you so shocked? You knew it was going to happen anytime," she said. "Just call the doctor. And he will know what to prepare."

"Oh gosh…"

"Don't panic. Get down the bed slowly. You will hit your toe against the table again if you are not careful."

"I am careful!"

"Dem, it's alright. It's no big deal."

"Oh really? You are going to push a child out of your vagina which is such a small place and it's no big deal? Certainly, it's no big deal!"

"Just get the doctor, geez."

Actually, I was a lot panicked. I did not know what to do. So, after a great commotion, finally the room was quiet. Blue was moving around because she said it might help with the contractions. She told me to call Luc and Ruby as well, since both of them wanted to be near. They were also in the bedroom and would stay there until the main event.

Ruby were to stay in the bedroom as well, because she wanted to see it for some reason and Blue agreed.

"Last time, the pain was really bad. Like unbearable. This time, it certainly is a lot less than before," Blue said. "Honestly, I almost feel comfortable. Now, this comfortable feeling is rather uncomfortable. I would rather feel a bit of pain, because this comfort is very unfamiliar."

"It happens, I heard," Ruby said. "I say, maybe Your Highness can use the toilet. I heard it helps opening up."

"Sex does too, but I really am not feeling it," Blue muttered. "This woman, Doctor Dimitri brought as his assistant suggested so a while ago."

Blue screwed up his face. "I would say, I love my husband, but I just… am not feeling it for the last few months. Every touch is kind of… Ugh…"

"Babe, just say you don't want it. You don't have to describe it," I said gloomily.

"No, no, don't be sad. I will let you hold me again maybe, later on," she said quickly.

"Yes, Yes, I know."

"Don't be sad, Dem. Come here, you can hug me," she said.

I got up from the bed and wrapped my arms around her. Her hair had gone too long, so Ruby cut it for her. It now reached her shoulders.

"I am not sad," I said against her hair. "I just hope we get to meet our baby soon, with both of you healthy and well."

"Hmm… You sure Dion is fine there with Luc?"

"Well, they are right outside and I don't hear any crying."

"Dion doesn't cry much anyway," Ruby said. "He will be good with his uncle."

"The second one, who knows how will this one be?"

Everything went smoothly. Too smoothly, actually. And it freaked me out. I was the only one freaked out it seemed. Ruby was calm, so was Doctor Dimitri. And Blue… My dear wife was the calmest one among all of them.

She simply walked around for a bit, then went to the toilet and after coming back, she said she could feel something. The doctor came back and then, it all was just a bit of shouting from the doctor and the helper. It took roughly a few minutes. I was wondering how Blue was so calm amidst all of it. She barely made a sound. She even pulled the child out with her two hands.

That was the part I almost lost it.

I could not cut the cord because I, though was very ashamed about it later on, had to throw up right away. I should not have done that, but I could not stop myself. However, Blue just laughed about it and was not mad.

Well, long story short, we had another boy. A perfect black haired tiny boy, who looking exactly like his big brother, except for the deep dimples on his cheeks.

"Isn't he a beauty?" Blue muttered. She was smiling broadly, but even a few minutes ago, she cried because she was scared that something would happen.

"He is," I said, holding Dion's hands so he would just stop trying to grab his baby brother.

"I am so surprised. He looks exactly like Dion, when Dion was born. Everything is the same," she said. "I can barely make any difference."

Both of our sons had black hair, lot of hair, which was not very common among newborns. They had black eyes as well.

"He just cries a lot," Blue said.

Since the beginning, our newborn barely stopped crying. At first, we thought something was wrong. But in fact, everything was fine. He simply was crying for no reason.

Blue started feeding him and only then did he calm down.

"His dimples are pretty," she chuckled.

"That's your brother," I told Dion, who had no idea what was going on and was quite annoyed with all the crying.

"Now I'm pretty sure your genes are extremely strong," Blue said. "Both of them have your physical attributes. I don't see anything like mine."

"You are still their mother. The bond between you and the kids are greater than any physical attributes," I said and kissed her on the forehead. "Are you feeling good?"

"Never better," she smiled. "I am astonished at how easy it had been. The first time was, at least, a hundred times harder. This time, it just happened. Just like that."

"If I had not known better, I would have thought this was how every woman felt during giving birth."

"Sometimes it's difficult, sometimes it's easy," she said. "Anyway, all that matters is that the baby is okay."

"So, his name…"

"You said it. It will be his name."

"Demian."

"Yeah. It's good, you know. Demian. It sounds good."

"We don't need a meaning?"

"No. Who cares about meaning? If it sounds good, it's good," she shrugged. "How did you even come up with it?"

"I don't know. When I saw him, I just automatically felt like his name could be Demian. It has got something on it, the name, I mean."

Luc was a little disappointed that it was a boy. He wanted a niece. So, I just told him to have a daughter himself. Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

The next day, a letter arrived from King Ford where he congratulated us. We could not join his wedding because of Blue's mental health. Something about his wedding was a little fishy, but it did not concern my kingdom much. So, I did not bother myself with it much.

Overall, there were two problems. One was Blue's constant fear. She never calmed down and would check on the kids every few minutes. They were always in our room, but Blue would always look for them, even at night when she was supposed to sleep.

The second problem was very new to us and in just one day, drove both of us to almost insanity. Demian cried a lot. Truly a lot. He just did not stop. He demanded to be carried all the time and sometimes even when he was being carried, he would cry. It gave me a headache.

Blue held him as long as she could, then even she had to give up.

"I guess the next few months will be quite hard for both of you," Doctor Dimitri commented.
