This Is Definitely Not Dragon Ball!!

Chapter 33: Yuujin's Request

To welcome the guests, Mrs. Brief went the extra mile by preparing a variety of dishes, but all of them were swiftly devoured by Yuujin and Goku like a storm sweeping through.

Mrs. Brief and Bulma worried that Yuujin and Goku might overeat and hurt themselves, but their concerns were entirely unnecessary.

The world of Dragon Ball is filled with many miraculous things—Dragon Balls that can grant any wish, Senzu Beans that can rapidly replenish energy and heal injuries, and another well-known wonder:

The Saiyan appetite!

After dinner, Dr. Brief went back to tinkering with his machines, while Yuujin, Goku, Mrs. Brief, Bulma, and Tights enjoyed some tea and snacks in the living room.

"Bulma, the reason I came to see you this time is to ask for your help."

Recalling the purpose of his visit, Yuujin spoke.

"If you need my help with anything, just say the word, Yuujin."

Bulma replied cheerfully, patting her flat chest.

"Thank you! I'd like you to make a Dragon Ball radar for me."

"Dragon Ball radar?"

Yuujin revealed his purpose, and Bulma looked a bit puzzled.

"A radar to find these balls."

Yuujin took out Goku's three-star ball and handed it to Bulma.

"So, this is a Dragon Ball? It's beautiful."

"What do they do? Why are you searching for them, Yuujin?"

As women often have a fondness for shiny objects, Bulma, Mrs. Brief, and Tights curiously examined the three-star ball.

"There are seven Dragon Balls in total, scattered across the world. It is said that if you gather all seven, you can summon Shenron, who will grant any wish."

"This is the three-star ball, and there are six more like it. That's why I need you to make a radar that can detect them."

"So, Bulma, do you think you can do it?"

Not hiding anything about the Dragon Balls, Yuujin asked.

"They can grant any wish... how amazing!"

"It seems a bit troublesome, but since Yuujin is asking for my help, I'm sure I can do it!"

Bulma exclaimed in amazement, then confidently assured him.

There was no doubt that Bulma was a genius girl. Although only about 10 years old, her knowledge and skills far surpassed those of her peers. If she was willing, making a Dragon Ball radar should be no big deal.

Of course, Yuujin could have asked Dr. Brief instead. The doctor would probably have made it faster than Bulma could at her age, but Yuujin wasn't the type to overlook such matters.

Bulma agreed to make the Dragon Ball radar, which made Yuujin quite happy. However, Bulma also mentioned that it would take about one to two weeks.

One or two weeks would do, as Yuujin wasn't in a hurry.

Later, Bulma asked where Yuujin and Goku were staying. When she found out they didn't have a place, she happily insisted that they stay at her house.

Mrs. Brief and Tights also invited them to stay. Although Yuujin felt a bit awkward imposing on them, since the invitation was sincere, he and Goku accepted and temporarily settled at Bulma's home.

In the days that followed, Bulma and Tights continued attending school, while Yuujin and Goku enjoyed exploring the city.

Occasionally, the two would help the police catch criminals or assist construction workers, but their extraordinary feats sparked rumors in West City about "urban superheroes."

Yuujin didn't pay much attention to the "urban superheroes" talk, saying they were just trying to earn some extra money. Every day, they would ride the Black Nimbus and Golden Nimbus to pick up Bulma and Tights after school.

Time flew by, and soon two weeks had passed...

"Ahhh..."

"Help, Yuujin, help!"

Bulma ran out from the bushes in a panic, crying for help, with a giant wild boar thundering after her.

Yuujin couldn't help but laugh silently. Just a while ago, this young lady had boasted that she was going to catch a wild boar for dinner, but now she was almost becoming dinner herself.

Without wasting time, Yuujin stamped his foot, launching himself like a cannonball, and kicked the boar squarely in the head.

Boom!

The giant boar was sent flying by Yuujin's kick, let out a dying squeal, and then crashed to the ground, lifeless.

"Hahaha... See, you know how great I am now!"

"Stupid boar, chasing me like that! Take that!"

"Ouch..."

With the danger gone, Bulma returned to her usual lively and spoiled self, kicking the boar a few times. Unfortunately, the boar's tough skin didn't budge, and she only ended up hurting her own dainty foot.

"Bulma, Yuujin, look! We found lots of yummy things!"

Goku and Tights flew back on the Golden Nimbus from the other side of the forest, carrying armfuls of wild mushrooms, strawberries, and other fruits.

"We've gathered plenty for today. Let's head back."

"Yeah!!!"

Yuujin called the Black Nimbus, tossed the boar onto it, and then jumped on with Bulma in his arms.

Trailing long streams behind them, the Black Nimbus and Flying Nimbus carried the four, full of spoils, away from the forest and towards West City.

For the past few days, Yuujin and Goku had been staying at Bulma's house, eating and living there. Though Mrs. Brief and Bulma didn't mind, Yuujin felt a little embarrassed, so he and Goku would occasionally go hunting as a way to repay them.

Bulma and Tights were also very curious about the world outside. They had never ventured into dangerous forests before, but with the incredibly strong Yuujin and Goku around, they had no reason to worry, so they eagerly tagged along every time.

Together, they hunted and explored in the forest, returning each time with plentiful rewards and laughter.

In the evening, Mrs. Brief would cook the game they brought back into a lavish dinner, and everyone gathered around the table, enjoying the feast with smiles and satisfaction on their faces...

To be continued…
