Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Armored Titan Strikes
---
A New Threat
The battlefield was silent for only a moment.
Then, the ground trembled.
Through the smoke and flames of Shiganshina, a massive figure emerged—one far different from the mindless Titans they had been fighting. It stood fifteen meters tall, its entire body covered in thick, plated armor. Its glowing eyes radiated intelligence, a calculated, predatory focus locked onto Eren and his group.
Eren's breathing became ragged as he stared at the Armored Titan, his body tensing. His mind flashed back to that horrible day—to the moment the walls fell, to the beginning of his nightmare.
Mikasa readied her blades, standing in front of Eren like a shield. "This one is different," she murmured. "Stronger."
Zenitsu, trembling, peered up at the towering monster. "O-okay, so… what's the plan? R-run, right?"
Naruto, standing beside them, crossed his arms, eyes narrowing. "Nah. Running ain't my style." His chakra flared, golden Sage Mode markings appearing around his eyes. "We take this thing down."
The Armored Titan lowered its stance, steam hissing between its plated joints. Then, in an instant, it charged.
The force of its movement shook the entire city.
"MOVE!" Naruto shouted.
The group scattered just as the Titan's fist crashed down, obliterating the ground where they had just been standing. A massive shockwave tore through the streets, sending dust and debris flying in every direction.
Naruto leaped onto a nearby rooftop, analyzing the Titan's movements. "Fast for its size…" he muttered. "And that armor… it's like a solid defense."
Mikasa swung through the air, firing her ODM gear, her mind racing. "I need to find an opening."
Eren, however, wasn't thinking of an opening. He was thinking of revenge.
His fingers curled into fists as he glared up at the monster that helped destroy his home. His blood boiled. His rage ignited.
Before he could act, Naruto landed beside him, placing a firm hand on his shoulder.
"Not yet," Naruto said.
Eren gritted his teeth. "Get out of my way, Naruto! I have to—"
"I get it," Naruto interrupted, locking eyes with him. "You wanna tear that thing apart. But listen—anger alone won't win this fight. You need to be smart."
Eren clenched his fists even tighter. "I don't care! I—"
Before he could finish, the Armored Titan lunged again, its massive hand swiping toward them.
Naruto pushed Eren out of the way, then vanished in a blur of speed.
Reappearing above the Titan's head, Naruto formed a massive Rasengan in his palm. "Let's see if that armor can handle this!"
He slammed the Rasengan down onto the Titan's skull.
A deafening explosion rang out. The impact sent a shockwave ripping through the battlefield, creating a crater beneath the Titan's feet.
When the dust cleared, Naruto landed lightly on the ground, arms crossed. "That do anything?"
The Armored Titan staggered back slightly. But then—
Steam erupted from its wounds.
The cracks in its armor sealed up instantly.
Naruto frowned. "Oh, that's just unfair."

Finding a Weakness
Mikasa landed beside Naruto. "That armor is too strong. We need another plan."
Zenitsu, still shaking, looked at the Titan, then at Naruto. "O-okay, so you're crazy strong, but that thing just shrugged off your attack. That's not normal!"
Naruto sighed. "Yeah, figured as much. Looks like we need to hit it in just the right spot."
Mikasa's eyes narrowed. "The joints. The armor is thick, but there have to be weak spots."
Zenitsu swallowed hard, looking up at the beast. "W-wait, weak spots? Like—like tiny little gaps?"
Naruto glanced at him. "Yeah, exactly."
Zenitsu's expression shifted. His usual panic faded—just for a second.
"…I can hit those."
Then, before anyone could react, he moved.
A flash of lightning streaked across the battlefield.
The air crackled as Zenitsu vanished from sight, reappearing behind the Armored Titan's knee joint.
Thunder Breathing – First Form: Thunderclap and Flash.
A lightning-fast slash struck the back of the Titan's knee, cutting through the thinner armor.
The Armored Titan faltered, its leg buckling slightly.
Eren's eyes widened. "He actually hurt it…"
Zenitsu landed, panting. His hands trembled, but his blade was coated in Titan blood. "D-Do we have a plan now? Because I really—REALLY—don't want to do that again."
Naruto smirked. "Yeah. We do."
He turned to Eren. "Time for you to step up."
Eren clenched his fists. His rage burned hotter than ever, but this time—it was controlled.
Mikasa gave him a single nod. "I'll cover you."
Eren took a deep breath.
Then—
Lightning struck.
A shockwave of energy exploded from Eren's body, sending rubble flying as his form shifted.
With a mighty roar, the Attack Titan emerged.

Titan vs. Titan
The Armored Titan turned, staring down its new opponent.
Eren's Attack Titan stood tall, its muscles rippling with raw power. His glowing eyes locked onto the monster that helped destroy his home.
Steam rose from his massive frame as he clenched his fists.
Naruto whistled. "Well, that's new."
Zenitsu, now completely out of energy, groaned. "I need to lie down…"
Mikasa readied her blades. "Eren. Don't hold back."
Eren didn't need to be told twice.
With a roar that shook the heavens, the Attack Titan lunged forward—his fist colliding with the Armored Titan's face in a thunderous impact.
The battle of Titans had begun.
