To Get The Power To Protect Someone

Chapter 26: Training

Suhee looked a little down, and sad.

We kept changing cars every few hours. Each time, we would stop at a car stop, break into another vehicle, and drive off. Then repeat the process again.

This went on for a while until we finally reached one of Ms. Chaeyoon's safehouses. She was an extremely cautious person by nature, never trusted anyone. That's why she bought multiple properties and converted them into safehouses across different regions.

We pulled into the garage, parked the car, and got off.

Ms. Chaeyoon assured us that it would take the GID a long time to find us here, even with their vast information network.

It was already night when we arrived. Mr. Park told us to get some rest, as we had an early start the next morning.

We slept like babies. After all the chaos and the constant running, we hadn't had a proper night's sleep in days. The exhaustion had piled up.

When we woke up early and went downstairs, Mr. Park was already waiting for us. He told us to follow him, and we did.

He led us to a narrow trail behind the house and told us to run to the end.

Then, without giving us time to catch our breath, he told us to do two sets, 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, and 100 pull-ups. All this immediately after the run.

Suhee fainted while running. Even I was barely able to complete the workout. It was already 11 o'clock by the time we were done with the trail and both sets of exercises.

This became our routine.

Day after day, for a whole month, we trained under Mr. Park. The physical drills, the combat training, all this pushed us to the edge.

Little by little, we regained control over our powers. Not completely, not like before, but enough to defend ourselves.
