Chapter 94: The Touch Part 54
Solus absorbed her brothers' words, deep in thought as she searched for a solution. Yet, no matter how hard she tried, nothing seemed viable to address the looming crisis. "This kind of situation can't be handled by ordinary bots, much less by a single Prime."
"Solus is right," Onyx agreed, taking the floor. "No matter how strong the new Prime is, if the Matrix of Leadership is weakened, he will never stand a chance against someone like Lockdown."
Liege Maximo adjusted his posture, crossing his legs on a higher rock. "So, what's your brilliant solution, scaly?"
"It would be wise to summon the remaining available Primes to assist the new Prime."
"That might be the dumbest idea I've ever heard." Liege Maximo replied bluntly. If there was one thing he couldn't trust, it was certain Primes, even he, the Prime of Lies, was more trustworthy than some of them.
"But it might be the only solution." Alchemist interrupted, not finding the idea completely irrational, however absurd it might seem.
"Are you kidding me? Have you forgotten who's left in our group?" Liege Maximo slammed his fists on the rock in protest, wondering if some kind of stupidity virus had infected his brothers.
Solus shot Alchemist a hard-to-read look, as if she, too, was questioning the sanity of the suggestion. "I'm no party pooper like Zeta, but this idea is borderline ridiculous. If we count the remaining Primes available, only one can help us and he's literally in another dimension. Only Onyx, with his relic, could contact him."
Zeta sighed at her comment. Solus was right, only Onyx's Triptych Mask could locate and communicate with Vector Prime, who spent his time traversing other dimensions and timelines. But the problem was that the mask had been badly damaged in the Prime War, and since it was buried next to Onyx's corpse, this goal was difficult to achieve.
Onyx snorted in frustration. Moments like these reminded him how much he hated being confined to the Allspark. For someone like him, being trapped there was both irritating and boring, a consequence he had not completely gotten used to even after so long.
"Aside from the fact that contacting Vector Prime is nearly impossible, the only other Primes left to help are Amalgamous and Nexus," Solus counted on her fingers, her expression growing more exasperated by the second. She looked at her hand and then slammed her head against the rock in frustration. "We're completely screwed."
The reality of the situation hit harder than a punch to the face. Relying on the future of Cybertron to a childlike Prime who could transform into anything his imagination conjured and a 100-meter-tall giant with multiple personality disorder was hardly a reliable plan—especially without supervision.
Micronus smiled nervously, noticing the reactions of his brothers, particularly Solus, who looked utterly disappointed. "Don't forget, we still have Alpha Trion and me to help."
Solus raised her head and stared at the progenitor of the Minicon race with a skeptical glare. "Stop lying. You're stuck here with us inside the Allspark. There's nothing you can do."
"Actually, I'm not stuck here. I'm very much alive," Micronus replied, crossing his arms. "I'm not dead. I'm here inside the Allspark with my physical body, just like Alpha Trion."
Alpha Trion turned to face Micronus, his expression one of surprise. "Wait, are you saying you've been here in the Allspark this entire time by choice?"
"Yes," Micronus replied bluntly, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "My power comes from my connection to the Allspark, includes the ability to exit and re-enter at will, although... that last part has certain conditions."
"Hold on. You've been alive this whole time?" Solus asked indignantly, unable to believe that Micronus had been free to leave the Allspark all along.
"You never asked whether I'd been killed or not," Micronus explained with such sincerity that it only made Solus bang her head against the rock again in frustration. "So, naturally, I didn't bring it up."
"Then why did you choose to stay here, trapped with us?" Onyx demanded, outraged that Micronus hadn't taken the opportunity to enjoy life outside the Allspark.
"I can only teleport out of the Allspark when it's in its awakened state. Only then can I roam freely," Micronus explained. Even though the Allspark had been hibernating for 100 million years, he preferred to stay with his fellow Primes, especially Onyx and Solus, with whom he shared a close bond. "Regardless, I'd rather deal with Solus's pranks than wander aimlessly through the universe."
"If that's the case, then you won't mind if I rip your head off for never saying anything," Solus growled, materializing an axe in her hand. She was beyond irritated that Micronus had kept this secret for so long.
Micronus used his powers to freeze Solus. He didn't want to test whether she was serious or not, he didn't want to experience death first hand, even if his powers allowed him to understand the concept. "Let's not get carried away," he said nervously.
Liege Maximo stifled a laugh, maintaining a neutral expression as he enjoyed the chaos unfolding. He couldn't resist twisting her mind with his powers of manipulation, a habit he couldn't shake, especially knowing how much Solus hated lies, which made her vulnerable to his emotion-twisting influence.
"We're losing focus of the meeting," Zeta Prime interjected, already sensing the discussion was veering far off course. He suspected Liege Maximo was once again stoking Solus's anger.
"So, what should we do? I don't see any viable countermeasures for this situation." Liege Maximo commented, pretending not to use his powers, looking forward to ending the meeting and seeing Solus attack Micronus.
"Actually, I've already started formulating a plan," Alpha Trion said, drawing everyone's attention. "I'm going all-in on the new Prime."
Zeta Prime raised an eyebrow, skeptical. Betting everything on the new Prime seemed risky, especially given the weakened state of the Matrix of Leadership. "Betting on the new generation? How do you plan to make that work?" he asked, willing to hear Alpha Trion out.
"Well, I can tell you this much: it's a plan you might not approve of," Alpha Trion admitted, his tone cautious.
