Transmigrated Become Sukuna, but the host is Yukinoshita Yukino?

Chapter 124: Chapter 124: The Retreat Continues

So this is the marriage partner the Yukinoshita family chose for Yukinoshita Yukino?

When Hiratsuka Shizuka saw Hayashizaki and Yukino walking side by side, the first thought that popped into her head was how well they matched.

The young man had a refined face with sharp features, and the faint smile at the corners of his mouth gave him a gentle and elegant air. The girl, with her stunning looks and cool demeanor, resembled a lotus blooming on a pristine lake—untouched by the mud, pure yet not overly delicate.

Their auras complemented each other perfectly, like a snow-covered mountain standing tall beneath the vast, open sky.

What's more, they were both wearing matching light-colored hoodies and track pants.

Hayashizaki had chosen his outfit purely for convenience and comfort, while Yukino had developed a habit of wearing practical clothes that allowed her to handle unexpected situations.

But neither of them realized how their outfits might be misunderstood by others.

*Seriously, wearing matching outfits? Since when did Yukino get so bold?*

Hiratsuka Shizuka clicked her tongue in disbelief, feeling like a stray dog on the roadside, suddenly and inexplicably kicked.

As Hayashizaki chatted with the students, Hiratsuka Shizuka quietly observed him from the side.

From the moment he arrived, he had taken control of the atmosphere. Almost everyone was drawn to him, engaging and revolving around him. His social skills were as polished as Haruno's.

Except for one particular dead-eyed boy who seemed to have turned into a statue.

*Well done, my student. You didn't fall into the social trap so easily.*

A hint of approval flashed in Hiratsuka's eyes as she looked at Hikigaya Hachiman.

After greeting the students, Hayashizaki finally turned to face the no-nonsense teacher leaning against the car.

*At least she's not wearing her lab coat outside of school.*

"Hiratsuka-sensei, hello. It's nice to meet you. I'm Yukinoshita's friend, Hayashizaki,"

he said with a smile, extending his hand.

"Sorry for inviting myself along. I hope I won't be a bother."

"Not at all,"

Hiratsuka replied, smiling as she shook his hand.

"Since this is a volunteer activity, having more people to help out is always a good thing."

After exchanging pleasantries, she began ushering everyone into the car.

Just before getting in, Hikigaya Hachiman couldn't hold back any longer.

"So, where exactly is this retreat happening?"

Hiratsuka's gaze sharpened instantly, her eyes glinting with menace.

"So you read the email but ignored my calls on purpose, huh?"

Her signature iron fist landed squarely on Hachiman's head.

But this time, it didn't seem to do much damage—barely breaking through his defenses.

The dead-eyed boy flashed a smug grin, leaving Hiratsuka wondering if she'd hit him too hard and knocked something loose.

The red van was rented by Hiratsuka Shizuka specifically to transport everyone. It had enough seats, so even with the unexpected addition of Hayashizaki and Hikigaya Komachi, there was still enough room for everyone.

Hikigaya Hachiman ended up in the front passenger seat, unable to sit next to Totsuka Saika. In the middle row, Komachi, Yuigahama Yui, and Totsuka Saika were seated, while Hayashizaki and Yukinoshita Yukino occupied the last row.

As soon as the van turned onto the road, Komachi started chatting cheerfully with Yuigahama and Totsuka. At first, everyone felt a bit restrained since Hiratsuka Shizuka, their teacher, was present. However, Komachi didn't seem to care, and soon, thanks to her lively energy, the atmosphere in the van became lively.

Thirty minutes later.

The van cruised smoothly down the highway, with old classic songs playing in the background. The three in the middle row had tilted their heads and leaned against each other, sun hats covering their faces as they drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

Sitting in the back row, Hayashizaki stared out the window at the passing scenery, bored. Suddenly, he felt a light tap on his shoulder, coming and going intermittently.

He turned to see Yukinoshita Yukino, seated beside him, fighting off sleep. Although her eyes were already closed, she was still sitting upright, her body swaying slightly from side to side.

In the end, she gave in, gently resting her head on Hayashizaki's shoulder as she fell asleep.

As she slept, the cold expression on Yukinoshita Yukino's face softened, replaced by a calm and peaceful look. From Hayashizaki's angle, he could clearly see her long, thick eyelashes, and her soft, steady breathing brushed against his neck.

The black-haired young man didn't seem to mind. He turned back to face the window and continued watching the scenery.

Through the rearview mirror, Hiratsuka Shizuka silently observed them for a moment before turning her attention back to the road.

Well, he does seem pretty gentlemanly.

...

...

"We're here. Wake up."

Yukinoshita Yukino, half-asleep, vaguely heard a familiar voice calling out to her. Yet, the calming presence next to her made her reluctant to wake up.

That is, until her head began to shake.

Hayashizaki was jiggling his shoulder, using this rather blunt method to wake up the sleeping girl leaning against him.

Everyone else had already gotten out to stretch their legs, leaving only Hayashizaki and Yukinoshita Yukino in the van.

After being abruptly woken up, Yukinoshita Yukino slowly regained her senses. Meanwhile, Hayashizaki, freed from her weight, opened the door and got out, leaving her staring wordlessly at his back as he walked away.

Their destination was Chiba Village, a facility built in the forested hills.

Amid the lush greenery, white walls and red-tiled rooftops stood layered across the landscape. In the distance, bluish mountains stretched out under a clear sky.

Far from the city, the air felt fresh and cool, with the shade from the trees keeping the summer heat at bay.

"I remember now. We came here once for a nature exploration class back in middle school."

Hikigaya Hachiman looked around as he spoke.

Everyone unloaded their luggage from the van.

Not long after, a white van pulled up in the open area, and four familiar figures stepped out.

"Hayama?"

Hikigaya Hachiman looked at Hayama Hayato, Miura Yumiko, Ebina, and Tobe with confusion, wondering why they were here.

Come to think of it, ever since the Ooka incident, Hayama Hayato had been less active in class, which, in Hikigaya Hachiman's eyes, made him a bit more tolerable.

"Now everyone's here."

Hiratsuka Shizuka stepped forward and explained to the puzzled group, "You're going to be volunteers here."

"Volunteers?"

Hikigaya Hachiman only knew that he was here for the Service Club's training camp, but he had no idea what they were supposed to do.

"We're basically here to support the forest camp, and it doubles as the Service Club's summer retreat."

But half the people here have nothing to do with the Service Club.

Hikigaya Hachiman looked at Hayama Hayato and couldn't help but complain in his head.

"Hey, how's it going?"

Hayama Hayato took the initiative to greet Hikigaya.

"Uh… oh…"

Hikigaya's lips twitched as he forced a stiff smile.
