Transmigrated Become Sukuna, but the host is Yukinoshita Yukino?

Chapter 145: Chapter 145: Off Work Before Ten

Tokyo, Shinjuku.

The assembled sorcerers quickly moved out, and before long, they arrived one after another at the edge of the barrier.

Nanami Kento, dressed in a white suit with goggles and neatly combed blonde hair, arrived first with Itadori Yuji, Yoshino Junpei, and Fushiguro Megumi. They were driven to the scene by Ijichi Kiyotaka.

"Ah! Gojo-sensei!"

Itadori Yuji, with his sharp eyes, spotted a white-haired man floating in midair and called out excitedly.

Gojo Satoru slowly descended to the ground. Nanami Kento spoke first.

"What's the situation?"

"I can't get in. Look."

Gojo Satoru reached out toward the barrier, but the moment his fingers touched it, a bright electric spark burst out, forcefully repelling his hand.

"Huh?"

Just as he finished speaking, Itadori Yuji tilted his head in confusion.

"But I got in just fine."

Everyone turned to look at him and saw that his right hand had already passed through the barrier. His face immediately froze in a dumbfounded expression.

"It really works." Fushiguro Megumi stepped forward and tried as well. His hand also slipped through without any resistance. His brows furrowed as he thought aloud.

"This barrier… only blocks Gojo-sensei?"

"Looks like it." Gojo Satoru smirked. "Nanami, take the students in first. I'll be there soon."

"Understood."

Nanami Kento nodded and led the three students through the barrier.

A slight feeling of resistance pressed against them as they passed through the curtain-like darkness. The moment they stepped inside, the sight before them left them speechless.

Blood flooded the streets. Corpses were piled up like garbage. Curses roamed freely, pouncing on the terrified people trying to escape. It was as if hell had spilled into reality.

"This… this is beyond cruel…"

Itadori Yuji's pupils shrank. In an instant, anger flared up inside him, heating his blood to a boil.

The thick stench of blood filled their noses, making all three students instinctively feel nauseous. Yoshino Junpei trembled, his eyes wide with shock, then doubled over and vomited.

Even Nanami Kento frowned deeply.

Once the students had somewhat adjusted to the horrific scene, he spoke in a low voice.

"Let's go."

The four of them rushed forward.

"Divine Dog: Totality!"

Fushiguro Megumi formed a hand seal, summoning a massive gray wolf-shaped shikigami.

In the Ten Shadows Technique, when a shikigami is completely destroyed, its abilities are passed on to the others. His white Divine Dog had been destroyed at the juvenile detention center by the special-grade curse born from the cursed womb. As a result, its power was inherited by the black Divine Dog, evolving it into Divine Dog: Totality.

Now larger than before, its sharp fangs jutted out menacingly from its mouth. Its claws gleamed coldly, ready to tear apart any enemy that dared to stand in their way.

But even so, it still wasn't as massive as Hayashizaki's black and white Divine Dog.

The gray Divine Dog shot forward like a bolt of lightning, tearing through the air with its sharp claws. In the blink of an eye, it sliced through a cursed spirit that had been chasing a few civilians.

One monster was killed by another, but the people still found themselves trapped in the hands of an even more terrifying creature.

Terrified by the sudden appearance of the giant wolf, the group collapsed to the ground, unable to move. It wasn't until Nanami Kento and the others arrived in front of them that they finally snapped out of it.

"No, please don't kill me!"

"Let me go! I have kids at home… please!"

Itadori Yuji crouched down, trying his best to smile despite the situation. He reassured them, "It's okay now. We're here to save you."

"R-Really? That's… such a relief."

They let out shaky smiles, still crying, but at least their tense faces finally relaxed a little.

"You need to leave this place immediately. The streets are dangerous," Fushiguro Megumi stepped forward and said.

The middle-aged man who had mentioned his kids shook his head in despair.

"We can't leave! There's an invisible wall blocking us from getting out of Shinjuku! We're trapped here, just running for our lives from those horrible monsters!"

"We can't get out? But isn't there only one barrier?" Yoshino Junpei asked in confusion.

"No, there are two," Nanami adjusted his glasses and explained. "The first one is to keep Gojo out, and the second one is to trap ordinary people inside. And I'm afraid it's a one-way barrier—you can enter, but you can't leave."

He let out a deep breath as he looked at the five trembling civilians.

"Our mission is to eliminate as many cursed spirits as possible. That being said, leaving them here isn't safe, but taking them with us would only slow us down…"

Hearing Nanami's words, the five people immediately panicked, their expressions changing. Some of them even looked ready to drop to their knees and beg.

"But we can't just leave them behind!" Itadori Yuji said anxiously.

"Calm down, Itadori. I never said we were abandoning them," Nanami sighed, rubbing his temples.

"We need Fushiguro's shikigami to help locate the cursed spirits, so we can't afford to slow down. The best option is to bring these people to the edge of the barrier and keep them there until Gojo breaks it down."

"Until then, someone has to stay behind and protect them."

"I will!"

"I'll do it."

Before Itadori Yuji could finish speaking, Yoshino Junpei cut him off.

"I have shikigami too, and my range of protection is wider. It makes more sense for me to stay than for you, since you're the stronger fighter."

"Junpei…" Itadori Yuji looked at him, clearly moved by his words.

"Alright then, I'll leave their safety to you, Yoshino." Nanami Kento didn't waste time arguing. He turned to the five civilians. "Stick with Yoshino. He'll keep you safe."

"We'll also be sending other rescued people your way, so be ready for them."

Yoshino Junpei nodded seriously. "Got it."

"Everyone, come with me. I'll protect you."

He summoned his jellyfish shikigami, Hazuki, and led the five civilians away.

Once they were gone, Nanami turned to Fushiguro. "Let's go too."

"Understood."

Fushiguro summoned his owl shikigami, Nue. It spread its wings and took off into the sky. His Divine Dog sniffed the air before dashing forward, beginning the search both from the ground and above.

"Based on my last experience, the curses from the Night Parade won't be stronger than Grade 1. Most will be Grade 3—not very strong, but there'll be a lot of them. To clear them efficiently, we should split up."

"Itadori, you go with Fushiguro. If you run into a Grade 1 curse, don't fight—run. Let the shikigami find me."

"Got it!"

Itadori clenched his fists tightly, his eyes already burning with rage.

Fushiguro nodded as well. He sent his Divine Dog to lead Nanami while he called for Itadori to follow Nue, which was circling overhead, searching for curses.

Nanami loosened his tie, gripping his massive cleaver, its blade tightly wrapped in layers of bandages.

Then he sprinted forward, chasing after Divine Dog.

No matter what, he had to clock out by ten.
