Transmigration: The Princess Marries Her Doting Husband

Chapter 6: Chapter 6. The restless heart

On the way out of the store, Yuki bought a little bamboo hat with a big circumference and a veil around it to hide Hatsuki's appearance and smell. While walking through the narrow street, the spirits around them weren't staring as much as earlier.

At the very end corner of the street was another little fabric store. It had an arched door, and as the master walked inside, the trinket rang. Hatsuki followed him, and behind the door was a wide-spaced store with plenty of lanterns hung around.

"Good evening. How may we help you sir?" A young woman greeted them. The woman had her hair tucked by the spider lily silk pin and wore an elegant black and gold horse face skirt with a thicker purple top.

"Eh," The master acknowledged while Hatsuki returned the bow. Her eyes immediately followed the lovely traditional dresses which were much different from the kimono she wore in the human realm.

"Do you have any dresses pre-prepared?" He asked and the woman raised her head "Indeed we do. Would you like to have a look?"

"Bring the sets which would fit her." Said the master, showing his hand towards Hatsuki.

The woman gave a brief look at the woman behind the arbiter and gave a bow, leaving the store. The skirt and blouse that Hatsuki wore weren't the norm in the under realm.

Influenced by Chinese clothing due to the Dragon Lord who always wore traditional clothes due to his soulmate, the entire Under realm too was influenced by it but unlike the traditional period, the Under realm had varieties of designs and had a modern touch to many of the dresses.

The woman brought a few medium-sized mamianqun with untucked and tucked ao tops. Some had bold red and gold colours while a few had pastel colours as well. Hatsuki had a few that caught her eye but even among them, she chose a sky blue ao which was untucked and reached till her torso and a pastel pink horseface skirt.

"Would you like to take only these Miss?" Asked the lady while showing a few more combinations for the skirts and top.

"Um…" Hatsuki was at a loss for words so instead of her, the master replied "Use those lighter coloured fabrics and using every design for summer and winter, tailor them according to her size and send it to my manor"

The woman's eyes lit up. It had been a while since someone had bought in such a huge amount after all. The woman gave a deep bow and started to pack the rest of the clothes.

Meanwhile, Hatsuki's eyes widened. Every design?! That was the overconsumption of clothes! Hatsuki looked up, her brows slightly furrowed. "When will I even use all that number of dresses? That's too much master" she whispered.

Yuki leaned forward with a light snicker "Whenever you want. Take it as a gift for being appointed as my assistant"

"Sounds troublesome" Hastuki murmured and followed the woman to the fitting area.

The woman helped her change into the skirt and then tightened it around her waist. A loose belt-like string was wrapped around her waist and in that, she tied the tassel. She wore a tucked top and over it was the heavy blue top, tying the look together.

Since Hatsuki had mid-length hair, the woman tied braids circled them and tied them with the red ribbon just like her earrings.

As Hatsuki walked out of the changing area, Yukinori keenly anticipated her look, yet no amount of preparation could prepare his restless heart. After more than a thousand years, his prayer had come true, and she was walking towards him.

Her eyes had a spark, just like he remembered. The lighter colours she opted for were just like in the past and so, he realized; it was the soul that mattered to him. No matter what form she came, he would always fall for her.

Yet Yuki was glad. He could spoil her to his heart's content.

"I look cute right?" she had a little smirk on her face. She could feel the eyes of the master from afar after all. But instead of answering her, the master gave a little pat on her head and walked out of the store.

Hatsuki too wore her bamboo hat and chased after him. It all felt like a fever dream to her. As if there would be no tomorrow and she was deep in a coma, experiencing the other world for just a tad bit. But if it was then she wanted to live it to the fullest. Since what was right? What was wrong? What was the reality and what was an illusion?

Walking next to the master, Hatsuki could feel various types of gazes on her. Even so, they walked together and entered the bigger part of the capital area where there were vendors and stalls as well as a larger group of people.

The master took hold of Hatsuki's hands firmly as he recited "It's dangerous around here. Stay close to me" while walking past the groups of people.

The aroma of the freshly made dumplings, buns and noodles took over the street and even Hatsuki couldn't resist the urge. At the corner of her eye, she saw a stall which sold big buns with spicy soybeans on the side.

Even Yuki turned towards the place Hatsuki keenly eyed. 'Still a glutton' He thought to himself as he halted his steps. "Eh? Master, why did you stop?" Hatsuki abruptly stopped, making her head slightly hit his back. Once again, his heart felt restless.

"To get those buns" he replied and changed the direction, heading towards the stall. It brought a smile on Hatsuki's face as she frolicked behind him.

They went to one of the dumpling food stalls and the master ordered "Three big buns with pork and beef fillings"

The store owner quickly packed the freshly steamed buns and handed them over to Hatsuki.

Hatsuki carried the warm paper bag in her left hand while the master caught her right hand. Walking through the lively streets, they strolled around and then returned to the little narrow way where the master whistled. The little yellow bird from before came in front of them holding on to the lantern on its feet.

"Are we going to ride again in it?" Hatsuki scrunched her nose at just the thought of it.

"Indeed, since any other medium would be dangerous" the master replied. Thus reluctantly she got on and they flew from the night market of the capital city of the under realm.
