Traps of Fate : The Start

The next day came.

In the big ground of the academy. There was a stage in the middle. Mainly for announcements.

the ground was filled with students of first and second year.

Class by class.

The class representatives at front.

The instructors were merely standing at the stage. Waiting.

"It's too quiet."

"Yeah, too quiet."

"everyone's tense I guess."

Sam didn't say anything to Jeremy but he nodded to agree to him.

Several minutes later, a female instructor came to the stage.

She had dark green hair, a mole under her right eye, rosy lips and her figure was even better. Her bosom and hips were enough to captivate anyone.

She introduced herself,

"Good morning, everyone, I'm Marie Stoner. I specialize in dungeon diving. Also, I am Monarch Core level Sorceress. Today you have gathered here to get familiar with the atrocities that plague our world. But do not worry this exercise will help you get rid of your fear and make your will stronger. Plus point you will not die here as you will not be facing the real monsters but just their real projections conjured with illusion magic."

Marie said a proud face, easing the nervousness in the students.

She continued,

"Since the second years have already done this exercise, they will be forming a duo team with you and guide you inside."

First year students face lit up with happiness, to think they could have the second years to guide them. It was an opportunity to form connections with the second years.

"Now, the second years will come to you according the slip they have gotten from their instructor. Be careful and have fun everyone."

Cheers arose in the ground. The previous nervousness in the students had vanished and had been replaced with joy.

One by one the second years came and called out their duos for this exercise.

In the class 1-A group.

"More than half the class is gone. WOW." Sam said as he noted down the names of the classmates and their second-year duos.

Sam was alone. His friend group had already entered the dungeon. Now he was waiting for his duo to come.

He was hoping his duo would be someone easy going.

Just as he notes down the last of his classmate's name, he heard someone calling him.

A girly but commanding voice called out his name "Samuel Wildheart".

Sam turned and asked "are you my partner Ms. Student council president?" with curiosity.

"P-partner? Aren't you going ahead of yourself?" Argentia said with a shocked face, a little blood rushing to her cheeks.

"Hm…. What? are you not my partner for this exercise?" Sam asked nonchalantly.

"Hmph" she flicked her face as to ignore him.

'Ugh! I misunderstood!!!!!' Argentia was screaming in her mind for misunderstanding Sam's words.

"Hellooooo? Are you here?" Sam came in front of her face waving his hand to get her attention.

"Hmph" she huffed to ignore him again.

But soon she composed herself and said to him, "Alright, let's go! "

"Not ignoring me now huh.." Sam said with a smile. Almost grinning.

"I'll see what you are capable of now." She said as she started walking with hurried steps.

'I guess I won't be bored, haha!' Sam was having fun teasing Argentia.

They both moved towards the stage, the stage was big, by big I mean really big to house a large tent to monitor all the students inside the dungeon.

Soon they reached Marie Stoner. Who saw them and greeted them with a warm smile.

"Ahh, here you are. You guys are the last one to enter you know?" Marie said as she acted as if she had to wait a several hours for them.

"My apologies, Ms. Marie. I had to review a document at the last moment." Argentia said.

"Well, since you are here now. Let's start, shall we?" Marie turned and flicked a switch on the desk in front of her.

A portal opened. The portal was square in shape. Big like a huge door. Blue in color.

But the portal was not frightening at all.

It was as if inviting them to enter.

"What are you waiting for? GO! GO!" Marie spoke like she was cheering for them.

Seeing this, Argentia sighed "Always excited huh".

"yaya" Marie replied.

Then, Sam decided to speak.

"Hmm, well aren't you guys close? Huh"

 "Hehehe" Marie giggled like a little girl.

"You might have not known this, but she's just one year older than us"

Argentia said with knowing look. She narrowed her eyes to Marie as if to shut her up.

"An instructor this young, you must be a genius Ms. Marie." Sam stated as if this was obvious.

"Ding Ding Ding! Bingo!" she said as she clapped for herself being complimented.

'ugh! I can't deal with this!' Argentia had enough of her now.

She grabbed Sam's arm and pushed inside the dungeon, soon entering herself.
