Two Summit War :One Piece

Chapter 9: 009. Can the Four Emperors Be Caught Like This?

Original World

"No!"

"No!"

"No!"

Almost every faction received the same answer at the same time.

Ron was nowhere to be found!

Even the Red Hair Pirates conducted a search within their own ranks, but unsurprisingly, they came up empty-handed.

Shanks frowned, his gaze fixed on the massive screen floating in the sky.

"Now I'm even more curious about how the battle ended."

He desperately wanted to know what kind of strength had caused the Red Hair Pirates to be so terrified.

Judging from the current situation, a great battle was inevitable.

At this moment, Benn Beckman spoke up.

"Why don't we just ask the other world's version of you, Shanks?"

That made sense. In the parallel world, another version of himself existed.

A Conversation Between Two Shanks

(Original World) Shanks: "It seems like a fierce battle took place in that world. How did it end?"

(Present World) Shanks: "Ahem… it wasn't exactly a fierce battle."

Hearing this, the Shanks of the original world felt his heart sink.

He knew himself too well. If his other self had put it like that, then the battle had likely ended in a humiliating defeat.

(Original World) Shanks: "Wait… were we completely crushed?"

To be honest, the Shanks from the present world didn't want to talk about it.

(Present World) Shanks: "Not exactly..."

That was at least some relief.

If they hadn't been instantly defeated, then maybe they had put up some kind of fight.

That thought helped Shanks maintain a bit of his dignity.

Tension in the Tavern

As more people watched the screen, curiosity peaked.

Would there be an all-out battle?

Would they finally see Ron's true strength?

At the same time, people also wanted to know why Luffy had chosen to become a Marine instead of a pirate.

The comparison video continued to play.

Onscreen, Ron casually walked into the bar, sat down, and placed a thermos cup on the counter.

Makino, the tavern owner, noticed the tension in the air and cautiously approached.

"Sir, would you like something to drink?"

Ron smiled politely.

"No alcohol during working hours. Just a cup of hot water, please."

Makino was stunned.

A man had entered a tavern… only to order hot water?

How odd.

(Current World) Hina: "Commissar Ron is so gentle when speaking to civilians."

(Current World) Tashigi: "Haha, but enemies don't think so. They tremble when they hear his voice."

(Present World) Shanks: "You almost said my name."

Ron took the hot water from Makino, drank it all in one gulp, and then spoke in a calm yet firm tone.

"Shanks, how long have you been out?"

The question stunned everyone in the tavern.

(Original World) Shanks: "Wait… does that mean I was arrested in that world?! Impossible! Who could have captured me?"

(Present World) Sengoku: "Impossible? You've been arrested several times."

Shanks turned slowly and hesitated.

"Sir Ron, it's been a while. We were just released last month."

Ron's expression remained unreadable.

"Then why are you all gathered here again? Planning to set sail?"

Shanks had no response.

"It seems your rehabilitation wasn't thorough enough."

Ron gestured for Makino to refill his cup.

Then, with a rhythmic tap of his fingers on the wooden counter—

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Shanks and his crew stiffened.

It was as if they were awaiting their fate.

"Should I do it, or will you do it yourselves?"

Ron's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an overwhelming sense of authority.

The Red Hair Pirates exchanged glances.

They knew there was no escape.

"We'll do it ourselves."

One by one, they stretched out their hands with practiced familiarity.

Just then, the tavern door swung open.

Vice Admiral Momousagi stepped inside, holding a set of handcuffs.

One by one, she restrained Shanks and his men.

Outside the pub, a vast number of Marines had already surrounded the area.

At the front stood Kizaru, Aokiji, Akainu, Garp, and Zephyr—a lineup that even the Four Emperors wouldn't dare to underestimate.

Shanks let out a defeated sigh.

No one had even noticed Ron's Observation Haki suppressing them.

His power had become terrifying beyond imagination.

(Original World) Garp: "That's… quite the heavy-handed approach."

(Original World) Kaido: "Shanks, you coward! You surrendered without even putting up a fight?!"

Shanks from the original world was dumbfounded.

This was even worse than being instantly defeated.

He had simply surrendered without a fight.

This scene completely shattered the original world's perception of the Four Emperors.

"So… they can be captured this easily?"

(Original World) Shanks: "Even if I knew I couldn't win, I shouldn't have surrendered!"

(Present World) Shanks: "You have no idea how terrifying Ron is. His Haki is so overwhelming that you can't even move in front of him."

(Original World) Sengoku: "Is this it? The fight is over? That easily? Can the Four Emperors really be caught like this?"

(Present World) Sengoku: "How else are we supposed to capture them? Lure them into a trap and go all-in like you did?"

(Original World) Sengoku: "...."

The Sengoku from the original world was utterly shaken.

This was too much of a difference.

Comparing himself to the Marines of this world was nothing short of frustrating.

A New Role Model for Luffy?

Inside the pub, only Ron, Luffy, and Makino remained.

The once-rowdy pirates were gone.

Little Luffy stood on a stool, gripping his drink with both hands, eyes wide in awe.

"So cool!!!"

This was a Marine?

His Grandpa Garp was a Marine too… but he had never looked this cool!

Ron stood up and reached for his wallet.

"The bill, please."

Makino waved her hands.

"Sir, you only drank two cups of hot water. It's free."

Ron frowned.

"That won't do. Marines cannot take even a single needle or thread from civilians. We must pay."

(Current World) Kizaru: "As expected of Commissar Ron, always setting strict standards for himself!"

(Original World) Kizaru: "Hey, hey, hey. It's just a cup of water..."

Makino hesitated, then hesitantly raised five fingers.

"Then… 50 Berries?"

Ron pulled out a 100 Berries note.

"If I'm paying, then I'll take two more cups—one for that kid over there. It's on me."

Makino, speechless, poured two more cups of hot water and handed them over.

"Thank you."

Luffy eagerly took the cup and gulped it down.

Then—

Just as Ron was about to leave—

Luffy ran up to him, holding a box filled with purple fruits.

"They left this behind. Since you treated me, I'll treat you!"
