Chapter 1373: Gruesome Training 3
-----
Erika could not help but show her disdain over the idea, but in the end, she was the one that agreed on coming here and training.
"Erika, if you want to, I can bring you outside. I will not hate you or anything for not wanting to do this… You are strong enough already," Blake smiled. "If you want-"
"D-Don't look down on me Blake! Who do you think I am?!" Erika responded with a surprisingly cocky attitude. "I-I was just surprised, okay? But I'll get through this! I swear!"
"…" Erika looked at her in surprise, and smiled, closing his eyes. "Alright then, good luck."
He hugged her and kissed her, infusing his Aura into hers.
"Remember to adapt and absorb this power."
"Y-Yes!"
As he disappeared, he went through similar areas where his friends were sent to. Indeed, every place was the opposite of their powers, so they could push themselves harder than ever before.
"W-What is this damn place?! My ice melts instantly!"
"Gahahah! Get ready, Elfriedden! We are starting right away!"
Elfriedden was placed on a volcanic land as well, just like Erika, and he complained a lot. His "master" was Fang.
"Ugh…! This light… it burns!"
"If you keep crying like a girl you are not going to get anywhere, damn brat! So let us get punching already!"
Erdrich was placed in the middle of the skies, where shining holy light constantly shone from the sun, bathing over his body, burning him. His "master" was Woo.
"A-Aaaahh! S-So cold…! I cannot take this!"
"Hahah! This is a perfect temperature for us Myconid, we prefer cold areas after all… Now then, little girl, let's see if you can handle my psychic attacks."
Alberta was placed in a cold landscape, so freezing cold that just touching the snow beneath her would turn her fingers purple. Her "master" was Azahuk.
"Why am I in the middle of the fucking ocean?!"
"Ugh, why was I assigned a boy and not a cute girl?!"
Chris was placed in the middle of the sea with nowhere to walk on at all, forced to swim and use flames even where there's water everywhere. His "master" was Acelina.
"M-My light… cannot shine through this darkness?"
"Heheh! Welcome!"
Elizabeth was plunged into an eternally dark abyss, where her light was instantly consumed by shadows, and she could barely see anything. Her "master" was surprisingly, little Saphira.
"W-Where… Where am I?"
"Welcome to outer space, young man. Let us get to battling already. I am itching for blood."
Meanwhile, Eric found himself in the middle of outer space, devoid of any wind for him to use, or any surface he could step on. His "master" was Arkaxks.
And Blake, of course…
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
Copies of Blake, Digital Avatars made by the Virtual World, appeared in each training ground as well, accompanying their friends.
It was not hard for him to divide his mind to this extent now that his powers have evolved to such a god-like level.
"Alright, let's get started with phase 2 then!"
Through these Avatars, Blake planned to train his magical abilities and his Mana Manipulation, while pushing himself and his friends to their limits.
And so, three months passed within this Virtual World.
.
.
.
FLAAASH!
"A-Ahhh…"
Elizabeth looked around her surroundings. The endless darkness, the monstrous abyss, the chaos that swirled endlessly, looking at her, filling her with despair and agony.
It was gone.
Her eyes widened, crying as she finally saw light. The darkness she faced for three whole months…
It was overcome.
Through this, Elizabeth cried, despaired, and constantly fought against endless hordes of Shades and Undead conjured by Saphira, while trying to catch her.
Until finally, not only did she fought her and won, but… the darkness of this lair, her light had become so potent it pierced through it all.
Her magic… had evolved once more.
"Well done, Elizabeth."
"That was amazing big sis!"
Blake and Saphira were there to congratulate her, of course.
Although he was present in the first month, once he realized his presence would only be detrimental for her growth, Blake disappeared.
"Blake!"
She ran towards Blake and cried over his chest.
"It was painful…" She cried. "And I hated it!"
"I'm sorry…" Blake sighed, caressing her golden locks. "But what you've achieved now… it would have taken you years otherwise. Can you feel it?"
"Y-Yes…" She muttered. "Is this how you've always felt magic before?"
Elizabeth moved her fingers as she glanced at her own hand, light flashed constantly, shaping into forms, structures.
She could see the runes, the magic constructs, mana as it flowed…
Her eyes had awakened completely as she was plunged into endless darkness where they could no longer see normally.
"Yeah, more, or less… Congratulations, Elizabeth. I have a gift for you."
Blake quickly brought her to another place, as there was a huge table with food.
And in there, a giant, roasted dragon heart.
"A-A Dragon Heart?! Where did you…?!"
"There were still some false dragon hearts from the draconic lizardmen we fought, I've enchanted this one and made it of higher quality using my draconic power and my creation ability."
"A-Amazing… But the others, where are they?"
"Just about to get here, you're the first to have finished."
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
Suddenly, Elizabeth saw everyone coming back…
Their appearances looked a bit tattered; they were exhausted beyond belief.
But within them, their spirits, and their souls.
Their bodies…
They had changed beyond measure.
Based on their auras alone, she could not even recognize them!
"Y-You guys…! Everyone!"
As she smiled, everyone else also smiled, realizing they were finally outside of those horrendous places.
"We're back!"
"You guys!"
"Ugh, I hated that place!"
They hugged one another, happy. Some cried, others sighed, groaning in frustration as they complained to Blake and so on.
They joined together, eating an amazing feast, as Blake provided them with dragon hearts, yes, to everyone.
Every single one of them got one!
As long as he had some, he simply cut them down, used his own power to supplement them, and recreated them with the powers of Creation.
Although they could not compare to the dragon heart of a true divine dragon, it was more than enough to bring them to the next level.
