Villain: Ultimate Mutation System in the Alternate World

Chapter 651: Godlike Master Part 2

The line of spirit masters began to break. "Please… don't. I have a family—I have a daughter waiting for me."

Another cried in surrender, tears streaking down her face. "You don't have to do this. You're not like him. Please."

More followed, pleading, some sobbing, some trying to reason with him. Their voices overlapped—fear, desperation, survival.

"What are you waiting for? These people kidnapped your lover," Reign said, leaning in close. "If she's really pretty and sexy, just think about what they're doing to her right now. Doubt they need a pure woman for their experiment."

Kang bit his lip, blood slipping down the corner of his mouth. The thought had crossed his mind before, but he forced it away, knowing he wasn't strong enough yet to save her.

"Do it. Make me proud, and I'll save her. You've seen my power, haven't you? I'm the only one who can help you."

Kang's sword hovered over the trembling figure of a young spirit master. The man's pleas echoed faintly in his ears, but they felt distant.

Right now, his only concern was saving his lover—and his mysterious master offered a shortcut.

Even if it meant dealing with the devil, it sounded better than letting her suffer any longer.

The grip on his sword tightened, blade raised high.

"THIS IS KARMA!" he shouted, slashing the man's arm first, then his leg, then the other arm. It took six cuts to completely turn the man into pieces.

"Hahaha " Reign laughed loudly, the sound echoing through the courtyard.

"Well done," he said, eyes gleaming with approval. "Keep going like that."

Kang's breath came fast and heavy. Each strike twisted his expression. There was a difference between killing someone in a fight and executing people like this.

The faces of the people he cut down all mixed together—no longer humans just shadows disappearing under his blade.

Reign clapped loudly. "That's it. Keep going."

Kang's mind started to go blank. He stopped feeling the weight of each life he took.

The first few kills shook him badly, but now, something inside him was breaking. It was like his heart was turning cold and hard. No more doubt. No more holding back.

"Faster," Reign said, stepping closer. "Don't feel anything. Be the sword that cuts through mercy and weakness."

SLASH!

SLASH!

SLASH!

Kang swung his sword again. . The fear in the victims' eyes didn't affect him anymore. Their begging bounced off an invisible wall he had built inside.

When the last spirit master fell, silence covered the courtyard.

"You're learning fast, but it's not over yet." Reign raised his hand. More people were gathered—this time, women and younger ones, either trainees or family members of the fallen.

"Master, they're innocent!" Kang protested.

Reign didn't flinch. "Innocent?" He scoffed.

"They chose their side the moment they entered this place. Kill them all. If you want to walk the Demonic Path, you need to learn to cut down anyone—no matter their age or gender."

Kang's hands trembled. His sword felt heavier than before, like it resisted the order.

The women stared back at him—some in fear, others frozen in disbelief. A few clutched each other, unsure if begging would even matter.

One woman dropped to her knees.

"Please, just kill me" she begged, voice shaking. "We didn't do anything. You killed my husband already—don't take my son too."

Another held her daughter close, whispering something as tears ran down her face. The child looked too young to understand, but her grip on her mother's sleeve never loosened.

"I said do it," Reign snapped, stepping closer. "Or was your resolve just talk? You wanted power. You want to save your lover? Then be selfish !!! Be ruthless! This is how it's earned."

Kang lowered his gaze. His heart pounded so loud it drowned everything else. He thought of her—trapped, helpless, suffering. Every second wasted here let her slip further away.

He raised the blade, but it shook in his grip.

A girl, maybe eighteen , stepped forward. She didn't cry. Didn't run.

"If you're going to do it," she said, clenching her fists, "then make it quick." Her voice cracked, but her eyes stayed locked on his. "You're a monster. I hope you burn in hell."

Kang froze.

Reign laughed coldly. "Don't worry about that place. If it exists here, I'll just kill whoever runs it."

Seconds passed, and Kang still didn't move.

Reign's voice turned colder. "This is your final test. Kill her—or I'll slaughter every last one of them myself, including you. Then I'll visit the Spirit Sect and end your lover too—for wasting my time."

"If you touch her, I won't just stand here and let you."

"Oh, you're going to fight your master for a woman? That's... almost admirable. But how do you think that'll work when I can kill you like an ant right now, heal you, and do it again—over and over? Or did you forget the part where I cut off your head?"

Kang swallowed hard. There was no escaping this.

"I'm sorry," he said, turning to the girl.

The girl spat and sneered, "Don't be sorry. You made this choice. Don't pretend you're not the one who's killing us."

His jaw tightened. Her words hit harder than any blade. He looked at the terrified faces around him—women clutching their children, hope fading fast.

Without looking away from the terrified faces, he struck.

SLASH!

The sword came down hard. Her head flew off, and a fountain of blood spilled out.

He struck again, the blade slicing through both mother and child without resistance.

One by one, the cries filled the air—shouts, sobs, desperate pleas swallowed by his attack.

The sword moved faster now, each strike a brutal release of the torment inside Kang. Pain and guilt twisted in his chest, but he forced himself forward.

The last person fell, silence swallowing the brutal massacre.

"Will I really become strong by doing this?"

Grinning, Reign raised his arms. "Of course. But first, there's one more thing you need to do."

Kang frowned, lowering his sword slightly. "What do you mean? What else?"
