Warhammer: Saiyan Adopted by the Wolf King

Chapter 84: Chapter 82: The Thousand Sons Version of Saibaman!

"Lord Magnus, could you prepare for me some of the very best soil available on all of Prospero?

"And also, please get me some top-grade nutrient solution—the thing that you to grow plants—and have it all delivered here," Axis said.

He needed to hurry up and plant a Saibaman for this little magic pony, get Magnus's request sorted, and then leave Prospero as soon as possible.

Now that was the real priority.

"The finest soil on Prospero? What do you need soil for? And what's the point of nutrient solution?" Magnus asked in genuine surprise.

Wasn't Axis supposed to recommend him another Ki-user? Why was Axis being so mysterious about it?

"It's a little trick of mine, Lord Magnus. Just prepare what I need and send it over," Axis replied.

When Axis had escaped from Planet Vegeta, he'd brought more than twenty Saibaman seeds with him.

He'd only used two so far.

Magnus nodded and immediately ordered his subordinates to prepare what was required.

Within half an hour, a large quantity of premium black soil was delivered, along with several huge barrels of green nutrient solution.

Once everything was unloaded, Magnus waved his hand, dismissing his sons. Only Axis and Magnus remained in the room.

"I've brought you what you asked for. Now, tell me, what exactly are you planning to do? Are you… somehow going to make me use the power of Ki?" Magnus asked.

"No. Ki is a very special power. It's a force that belongs only to me," Axis answered.

Magnus looked at Axis, clearly pointing out the contradiction.

Saibamen could use Ki, but to grow a Saibaman, Axis's own Ki was required; no one else's would work, not even if a Saibaman tried to cultivate or infuse Ki itself.

He'd already tested this.

"I plan to cultivate a very unique lifeform. Lord Magnus, I'll need you to provide a little of your blood.

"Once it's grown, this lifeform will recognize you as its master. And effectively, it'll be your gene-progeny," Axis explained.

Magnus instantly understood what Axis was getting at.

'So, after all that, this Ki of Axis's could be given to some kind of alien lifeform?

'Or was it that this so-called Ki actually originated from some xenos species, introduced into Axis by chance?'

A single moment of reflection led Magnus to all sorts of theories.

He even considered that Ki might just be something Axis had stumbled upon, sourced from some alien organism.

He had a lot of question, a lot, but he managed to suppress them enough.

"No need to overthink it, Lord Magnus. The power of Ki is unique to me in this whole universe!

"As for this xenos lifeform, it's a kind of being that can only be hatched with my Ki. And that, allows it to actually use it, but even then, it's just a limited form of access," Axis said, pulling out a green Saibaman seed.

"You're going to plant a lifeform? Then what is it, really, a plant or an animal?" Magnus asked, eyeing the green seed in Axis's hand.

"You could call it a half-plant, half-animal. It's a very special being. It can absorb blood from other species to strengthen itself.

"I'll use your blood and my Ki to accelerate its growth. Without my Ki, this creature wouldn't be able to develop at all.

"Once it succeeds, the grown Saibaman will carry more than half your genes, almost like your own gene-progeny," Axis explained, things in details.

"If it's a gene-progeny, perhaps we could add something more," Magnus suggested, his eyes gleaming with inspiration after learning how Saibamen were created.

"Oh? Lord Magnus, if you have any ideas, please share them," Axis replied, genuinely curious about what Magnus had in mind.

The last time he'd cultivated a Saibaman, he'd only mixed in a little of Russ's blood.

"I'd like to use my gene-seed as a nutrient, would that be possible? Specifically, the type of gene-seed that you will purify with your Ki.

"And as you accelerate its growth with Ki, I'll simultaneously use psychic power. Maybe, just maybe, we can experiment and stumble upon something truly unexpected," Magnus proposed.

If the Saibaman could absorb genes from his blood, then surely the perfect gene-seed would be the best material.

Axis could use his Ki to nurture this special lifeform, so why not see if psychic energy could work as well?

Axis glanced at Magnus in surprise.

Trust the archmage among the Primarchs to have such a curious, experimental mindset.

But this method actually sounded pretty promising!

Axis nodded in agreement with Magnus's proposal.

Soon, several warriors of the Thousand Sons arrived, carrying a box.

The box was opened, and inside was a tube which contained the raw form of gene seed, extracted and cultivated in Holy Terra.

Magnus' willingness to use such a precious thing in what Axis considered an experiment alone proved the Archmage kind of mindset Magnus had, and the trust Magnus had placed in Axis.

It was a curious thing, he knew the trust was only there because of the Emperor's own trust and the value the literal god of a man had placed in him.

But Axis still felt a bit touched.

Axis uncorked the tube, and used his Ki to purify the gene-seed. It was there, the malignant energy that was in the secondary heart, but the amount was miniscule compared to what was present in the secondary heart.

Whatever that corrupted the secondary heart wasn't present alone in the gene-seed.

He needed to look into it further.

They dug a hole in the black soil, first placing the gene-seed at the bottom, then putting the Saibaman seed on top.

Axis covered everything with soil, poured in a large barrel of nutrient solution, and Magnus sliced open his palm to add his own blood as well.

"A little is enough. Now I'll begin activating it with Ki, try channeling your psychic power into it as well," Axis said.

Magnus nodded, and the two began working in tandem.

Axis first used his Legendary Super Saiyan Ki to activate the Saibaman seed within.

Axis could sense that, the instant it was activated, the Saibaman seed devoured Magnus's perfected gene-seed germ cells, then started absorbing Magnus's psychic energy as well.

However, this time the incubation didn't take just a minutes.

A full half-hour passed before Axis stopped channeling Ki and Magnus ceased his psychic input.

"Do you think it'll develop those Space Marine super-organs?" Magnus asked, looking at Axis.

"How would I know," Axis replied.

The gene-seed was the foundation of Space Marine transformation, the origin of all things.

Every superhuman organ came from the gene-seed.

The Blood Angels, for example, had a very unusual method for cultivating new recruits.

First, they implanted the gene-seed of Sanguinius, then had the recruits drink the blood of Sanguinius, and finally buried them in the monastery's stone coffins.

During this time, only some nutrients were provided, and after a year, the initiates would complete their transformation. Just as Sanguinius himself had once emerged, these initiates would naturally develop their own super-organs.

Unlike other Space Marines, who received their organs via implantation, this was now essentially the same method Magnus was using for this experiment.

It was almost identical to the method used by the Blood Angels, except that the "new recruit" was now a Saibaman.

Perhaps, once he returned, Axis could try the same with Russ, using the gene-seed of the Space Wolves to cultivate a Space Marine version of a Saibaman.

Several more hours passed.

By now, most of the nutrients in the soil had been absorbed.

During this time, Axis poured in more nutrient solution several times, and even had more soil brought in.

Sensing through his Ki, Axis detected that a massive, red, three-meter-tall fleshy mass had formed beneath the earth.

A powerful new lifeform was growing.

After a full twelve hours, the special lifeform finally broke out of its shell.

Axis and Magnus had already set up a psychic barrier in advance within the chamber, just in case any unusual energy leaked out.

With a thunderous crack, the huge pot of soil exploded.

As the smoke cleared, a monstrous figure, over 2.3 meters tall, with crimson skin and an extremely muscular build, appeared before them.

This creature had human-like eyes, and apart from its pointed ears and red skin, showed almost no other non-human features.

"Haha! At least its skin tone matches mine," Magnus said, clearly pleased.

The instant it was born, Magnus felt a strange connection to it. It was a bond unique to gene-progeny.

This special Saibaman, created through this method, truly was his son.

What's more, its body had, just as Magnus hoped, developed all the super-organs of a Space Marine.

It was even more robust than a typical Astartes.

Its two hearts beat strongly, and there were even black carapace visible on its body.

This unique Saibaman completely satisfied Magnus.

Though its creation was utterly alien, its appearance would never make anyone suspect its true nature.

At most, people might note the red skin and pointed ears, a bit like Magnus himself.

What was there to worry about?

"Father!" The muscular red Saibaman knelt before Magnus on one knee. Through his Ki, Axis sensed that he too held ultimate authority over the Saibaman.

Just like before.

Even with Primarch blood and gene-seed used, the highest control always belonged to Axis, the giver of the life-giving Ki.

"Can you use Ki?" Magnus asked.

"Yes, Father!" The red Saibaman extended his palm, and a sphere of blue-white Ki formed in his hand.

Seeing the ball of Ki, Magnus was overjoyed.

"Excellent. And can you use psychic power?" Magnus asked again.

"I can, Father! I have perfectly inherited your gene-seed and all your abilities," the red Saibaman replied, his eyes shining with a faint blue glow.

Suddenly, objects in the room began to float. It was the unmistakable sign of psychic power.

"Not bad. From today on, you are a member of the Thousand Sons. You are my son," Magnus declared.

This unique Saibaman truly was the perfect gift.

Perfectly inheriting both Ki and his own psychic power.
