Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Tsunade: I’m So Excited, I Really Want to Say Yes!
Andrew rolled his eyes as he watched the scene unfold from outside the ruined wall. There was no mistaking it—the figure that had just been sent flying across the casino was unmistakably Jiraiya. And considering the building was a casino, it didn't take a genius to figure out who had done the launching.
"A brawl between Sannin, huh? But why the hell are you two smashing my property? What, do you think Uchiha money grows on trees?"
Still fuming, Andrew pushed past the scattered debris and entered. But before he could say a word, he locked eyes with Tsunade, whose sharp, narrowed gaze sent a chill down his spine.
Damn. She's terrifying when she's pissed.
He took a cautious breath and raised his voice. "Tsunade-sama! Gambling is fine and all, but did you have to wreck the place? Do you even know how much this damage will cost? Forget the broken walls for a second—you scared off every single gambler in the building! There's not even one ryo left on the tables! You—You—"
Tsunade's initial defiance faltered as Andrew rattled off the list of damages. Her confidence dimmed with every word, and a guilty look gradually overtook her stern expression. Her gaze swept over the ruined interior, and her anger at Jiraiya was quickly replaced by dread.
Crap. What did I just do...?
This wasn't just any casino—it was Uchiha property. And the Uchiha didn't exactly forget debts, especially when their business was booming across the entire Land of Fire.
Gramps, forgive me. I already owe a fortune in gambling debts, and now I've bought myself half a casino's worth of destruction... When will I ever repay this?
"Cough—cough—Tsunade! You really haven't changed. Still the same punch-happy powerhouse," Jiraiya wheezed as he dragged himself out of the rubble. Clutching his chest and brushing plaster dust off his coat, he managed a wry smile. "Don't worry about the damage. I'll cover it. Boss, you—Andrew?!"
Andrew's arms were crossed as he glared at him. "The Crown Casino chain belongs to the Uchiha. Why wouldn't I be here?"
He waved off the security staff with a quick Sharingan flash, signaling them to stand down.
"Jiraiya-sama, what the hell is going on?" Andrew asked. "Did you bring Tsunade-sama here to start a war with Uchiha or something?"
"No, no! It's all a misunderstanding," Jiraiya said, waving his hands frantically. "I just said the wrong thing, and she got angry—this has nothing to do with you Uchiha!"
Tsunade had been watching silently, but now her interest piqued. "Wait, Uchiha? Who threw Danzo into prison?"
"That would be us," Andrew answered calmly. "Tsunade-sama, since you've calmed down, should we talk about compensation?"
"Stop right there!" Tsunade snapped. "Didn't Jiraiya just say he'd pay it back for me?"
She glared at Andrew. "You're seriously going to bill me for this? What kind of guy settles a bill the second after someone cools down?"
Andrew smirked. "No rush, but I'll calculate his share separately. I'll have the damages listed out first, and you two can figure out who pays what."
He gestured to the casino staff to start tallying up the damage.
Jiraiya gave Andrew a tired look and scratched his head. "You know... maybe we can all sit down, grab a meal, and talk this through?"
He wasn't buying the coincidence that Andrew just happened to be here when he found Tsunade. But even so, there was nothing wrong with it—he hadn't broken any laws.
Hell, he was the one who got punched through a wall.
"Boss! Get us a table next door. Bring out the good stuff—plenty of meat and a few bottles of soju!"
In the restaurant beside the ruined casino, the four sat down for food and a much-needed talk.
"Tsunade, I—"
"Oi, Uchiha brat, I'm a big deal in Konoha. Can't I get some special treatment when it comes to paying back a debt?" Tsunade cut him off mid-sentence, taking a big swig from her cup.
Andrew raised an eyebrow. "Tsunade-sama, it's precisely because you're such a big deal that we can't ignore this. Think about it. You're one of the Sannin, the granddaughter of Senju Hashirama, and you trashed a Uchiha property. What do you think happens when people hear you don't pay for the damage?"
"Tch! Not charming at all," Tsunade snorted. "Shouldn't you be saying, 'Don't worry about it, Tsunade-sama! We Uchiha are rich!' or something like that?"
"You don't know what we've been through," Andrew replied, feigning a wounded look. "The village never gave us subsidies. The higher-ups always targeted us. Our patriarch even left the Police Department to start a business. We're not living the good life, believe me."
Tsunade almost choked on her drink. If she hadn't seen the luxurious hotels and casinos Uchiha ran across the Land of Fire, she might have believed this dramatic speech.
"Alright, enough playing around," Jiraiya finally cut in. "I really came here on a mission. The village needs you."
Tsunade's expression soured immediately. "Needs me? I'm just a has-been who trembles at the sight of blood. Why would powerful, mighty Konoha need me?"
Her sneer dripped with sarcasm. "Let me guess—the daimyo's assassination shook them up. And now, with their precious funding slashed, they want me to come back and fix things. Typical."
Jiraiya stayed silent.
Andrew, on the other hand, leaned forward with a sly smile. "Tsunade-sama, how about I tell you something that might actually make you happy?"
"Oh? Are you finally giving me a repayment extension?"
"More than that," Andrew grinned. "I'm not here on Konoha's behalf. I came for family reasons."
Tsunade's eyes narrowed.
"You can ask Jiraiya yourself—our Uchiha clan has distanced itself from the village. We act independently. We don't interfere, and they don't interfere with us."
Tsunade blinked, clearly intrigued.
"Go on..."
"Our clan carries out missions independently. But we have a problem—we have no trained medical ninja. No structure. No proper support. When our members get seriously injured, it either ends the mission or kills them."
"You trained Konoha Hospital's entire team. You are the best medical ninja in the world. We want to hire you as our medical consultant. Help us build our medical corps. Train our people."
Andrew leaned back and smiled.
"If you accept, we'll waive all damage from today—and we'll pay off all your existing debts. Plus, we'll give you a monthly training stipend of 30,000 ryo."
CLINK!
Shizune dropped her chopsticks in shock, eyes wide with disbelief. She turned to Tsunade with a pleading look that screamed, "Please say yes!"
As Tsunade's loyal follower, Shizune had long since grown numb to life on the run from creditors. Living with Tsunade meant being broke, hungry, and constantly ducking debt collectors.
"Ahem... Are you serious?" Tsunade sputtered, nearly choking on her drink.
Andrew didn't blink. "Absolutely. If you're worried, ask Jiraiya-sama."
Jiraiya didn't say anything, but the silence said enough.
Uchiha was rich. Really rich. Scarily rich. They hadn't even asked how much Tsunade owed. They were willing to pay it all.
Tsunade's mind was spinning.
Holy crap! I'm actually excited—I really want to say yes!
She had dreamed of someone bailing her out of her debts, but never imagined it would actually happen—and by the Uchiha clan of all people!
"There's just one condition," Andrew added. "We want you to train our medics in Uchiha territory. It's not safe elsewhere. Too many eyes want our bloodline. We'll provide security."
Tsunade hesitated.
"Can I train them somewhere else? I really don't want to go near... that place."
"We understand," Andrew said softly. "But without protection, we can't risk it. We promise this offer is purely from the Uchiha clan. If you want, we'll even intercept and block all Konoha's attempts to reach you."
Jiraiya sighed from the side.
Damn it. I came here to bring Tsunade back to Konoha, but Uchiha's already won her over. I didn't even get a word in!
Old man... I tried. But when someone throws this much money on the table, how am I supposed to compete?
