Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Danzo Secretly Contacts Orochimaru

"Then it's settled. I'll go to your Uchiha territory," Tsunade said, her tone uncharacteristically serious. "But you'd better make sure no one bothers me while I'm there."

Andrew grinned. "So, Tsunade-sama accepts my proposal? Then it's a pleasure to work with you."

He extended a hand to shake, but after a moment of awkward waiting, he realized something.

"Ah—sorry. Forgot this isn't Earth... Right, we do things differently here." He chuckled and pulled out a scroll from within his robes. "Tsunade-sama, please sign the contract. Once you do, you'll officially become the Uchiha clan's chief medical consultant."

Jiraiya and Shizune exchanged glances, their expressions caught between amusement and disbelief as Andrew unfurled the legal document.

"Tch. So much paperwork," Tsunade muttered. "What, do you think Senju Tsunade is the type to dodge a debt? Fine, I'll sign. But—can I get the first month's salary in advance?"

Andrew's smile twitched.

"About that... Tsunade-sama, can we maybe first discuss the issue of the damages at the Crown Casino?"

Good grief, she's not even officially hired yet and she's already trying to overdraft her paycheck! Andrew wanted to scream. Is this woman trying to bankrupt us before her first shift?

Tsunade's eyes narrowed at the refusal. Her aura darkened for a split second, but then she sighed. It wasn't worth fighting over—not when she'd finally found someone willing to throw money at her problems.

"Whatever. Let's go. Just pack your things and lead the way to your precious Uchiha compound."

With that, she grabbed Shizune by the wrist and stormed out of the hotel, bottle of sake still in hand.

Jiraiya stared after them, rubbing his face. "Great. Can't wait to see the old man's face when he hears she's 'back.' Though technically... she hasn't really returned to Konoha, has she?"

Konoha, Police Department – Holding Cells

Danzo sat in a confined space, cross-legged, holding his heavily bandaged right arm close to his chest. His exposed eye, bloodshot and sunken, stared into the darkness.

"Damn Uchiha Andrew," he muttered. "To awaken Mangekyō Sharingan at that age... and such potent genjutsu..."

It had become routine for Danzo to suffer under illusions. Over time, his mind had adapted to resisting Three Tomoe Sharingan-level illusions from average Uchiha. But Andrew's genjutsu had left lingering aftereffects, and if not for the Hashirama cells in his arm suppressing it, he might've lost his sanity.

"Sarutobi Hiruzen... are you really going to abandon me like this?" he growled.

Weeks had passed. Not a single word. Not even a messenger. Hiruzen hadn't come to see him, hadn't tried to intervene. That silence unnerved him far more than anything Andrew had done.

Resentment gnawed at him—but so did fear.

Suddenly, a voice slithered out of the darkness. Low. Hoarse. Familiar.

"What a miserable sight, Lord Danzo. I didn't expect to see you like this."

Danzo's head jerked up. His eye narrowed.

A small, white snake emerged from a crack in the corner of the cell, slithering toward him with a slow, deliberate grace.

"Orochimaru," Danzo whispered, a mix of relief and venom in his tone. "You came late. What, here to collect my corpse?"

"Hahaha... Danzo-sama, please don't be so harsh." The snake coiled itself near him. "This is the Uchiha-controlled police station. It cost me dearly to sneak in here undetected."

"Enough games," Danzo snapped. "Did you bring the materials? I won't be able to leave this place soon, and there are things—projects—that must not be discovered. You know what's at stake."

Orochimaru's voice was soft and eerily calm. "Of course. But I should warn you... your precious Root has been dismantled. Konoha found your lab. Dug up most of your data."

Danzo didn't flinch. "Let them think they've found everything. What they found... was what I wanted them to find."

"Still as paranoid as ever," Orochimaru hissed. "But be careful. Now that 'A' exists, the Third Hokage might not have time or reason to rescue you. Don't think your legacy will be safe just because you planned it."

"If I ever escape, I'll reclaim everything. This village needs men like me," Danzo muttered.

Without another word, the snake slithered to Danzo's ankle and sank its fangs in. His body jerked for a moment, but the venom was not harmful—instead, it carried an infusion of experimental serums and documents, encoded inside Orochimaru's summoning chakra.

The snake twitched, recoiled slightly from the unpleasant contact with Danzo's filthy leg, and disappeared beneath the floor.

Danzo exhaled deeply as the Hashirama cells in his arm stabilized. "Orochimaru... you really have made progress. Now all that's left is for me to bide my time."

The Hokage hadn't executed him yet. Which meant...

He still had a chance.

Elsewhere, Andrew and his group had returned.

"Finally back."

From the hill overlooking the village, Andrew took in the sight of Konoha's towering walls. He stretched his arms and let out a long breath.

"I'm not tired physically, but traveling really does wear on the nerves. I just want a hot bath."

He turned to share the moment—only to realize that no one was responding. Tsunade stood silently, eyes fixed on the village with a complicated expression.

"Hey, Tsunade," Jiraiya said quietly, stepping beside her. "Go see the old man. He's aged a lot... he'd want to see you."

Tsunade responded by suddenly spinning and punching Jiraiya in the face, creating a gust that sent sand and dust flying.

"What are you staring at, huh?! I'm not here to visit anyone. I'm here to work and get paid!"

Andrew winced. "God help me. Did I just recruit a violent debt-ridden ancestor into the clan?"

He rubbed his temple and muttered, "Seriously, how am I the one taking the heat for this?"

Then Tsunade turned to him, arms crossed.

"Take me to your compound. Now."

Andrew gave her a deadpan look. "Tsunade-sama, our Uchiha compound hasn't moved since your grandfather helped settle it. Don't tell me you've forgotten where it is?"

She glared. He glared back.

"You in a bad mood doesn't mean you get to take it out on me. I'm not Jiraiya."
