When Love and Fire Meet

A messenger rode out to where Robb and I were. The horse neighed upon seeing the large dragon before the messenger dismounted. "My lord, my lady. Lord Stark and King Robert have summoned you both to the great hall."

I nodded. "We will be right there." I mounted my horse and followed the messenger and Robb. As they entered back into the courtyard. After they dismounted their horses and handed them off to the stablehands before making their way to the great hall.

A silence fell over the room and both myself and Robb entered. Although I was not normally nervous about approaching the lord of Winterfell something felt off and weird. I felt myself reaching for Robb as if by instinct.

Ned rose from his seat. "Katherine, I have summoned you here to discuss your marriage. I will honor your father's last wish to find you an honorable match."

I smiled. "I appreciate it, Lord Stark. But over these past 3 days, I have found someone that I believe I can spend the rest of my life with."

King Robert interjected before Ned could speak. "I knew that this would happen, Ned. She has fallen in love with your eldest son. I will not have any of this. As your king, I demand that your ward marry my son Joffery end of story."
