*In the village, Sorla lays out a map for Lloyd.*

"Your friend, Zane, is imprisoned here in the Ice Emperor's castle. There are only two paths through the mountains. This is the safest." said Sorla.

"A pass?" Lloyd asked.

"In the Old Tongue, it's called Mala-Wojira." said Sorla.

"Mala-Wojira?" Lloyd asked.

"Wojira's Wrath. But you must be careful. You cannot make a sound in this place. You cannot speak or whisper. Even your footfalls must be like a gentle breeze." said Sorla.

"Why?" Lloyd asked.

"If you make a sound, Wojira will strike you down." said Sorla.

"Okay... but what is it?" Sorla demonstrates Wojira's Wrath. "Okay!" Lloyd takes the map and rolls it up. "Great, well, I guess we'll just be quiet." He steps outside to meet with the other ninja. "Any luck?"

"Nothing. It's really weird. The signal keeps coming in and out." said Nya.

"Huh. Maybe the cold is interfering?" Lloyd guessed.

"Cold shouldn't matter. It's like the signal is weak. The mech had a brand new battery, it makes no sense!" said Nya.

"Have you tried having Nova check it? She is pretty good with tech and machines." Lloyd suggested.

"She already tried, but nothing worked. Besides, she has also been busy with her new weapon." said Nya.

"Looks like even Nova doesn't know everything." said Lloyd, only to be hit by a snowball.

"Ahh!" Lloyd turned his head around, only to see Nova sitting on a bench working on her weapon.

"Seriously Nova?" He questioned annoyed, but he wasn't getting an answer from her. Which was starting to get on his nerve.

"Huh?" said Nya, as they turned to see Kai running around in snowshoes.

Kai pants. "Hey guys? Have you tried these? You gotta try them! You can walk! On top of the snow!"

"I... think that's the point." said Cole.

"What will they think of next?" Jay laughs.

"Alarm! Alarm! They're coming!" The Ice Fishers surround Uthaug and Boma. "Blizzard Samurai! On the march!"

"Heading for our village! We saw them coming down the pass!" said Boma.

"I heard them first. Boma's hearing isn't as good as m—" said Uthaug.

"Don't start that again!" shouted Boma.

"Boma! Uthaug! Are you sure you saw this? You saw them?" Sorla asked. Boma and Uthaug exchange looks and nod. "Gather the elders. There's no time to lose."

Nova sighs, unsummoning her weapon, and got up from the bench.

*The Elders and the ninjas have gathers in Sorla's home.*

The Elders are muttering. "What if he... must consider?"

"What do we do? The pass is only a few hours away." said the first elder.

"We have to hide. We must abandon the village." said the second elder.

"And leave the Fire behind? Are you mad?" said the third elder.

"What choice do we have? I say we hide in the village of the Formlings." said the first elder.

"I won't go there! Not after what happened. That place is cursed!" The Elders start arguing again.

"It is only option."

"We cannot abandon the Fire. The Fire is life! We must protect it." said Sorla.

"I don't understand. Can't you just light another? You know, with matches? Or something?" Kai asked. The Elders start whispering again.

"They are new to our realm. They do not know. The winters have grown too cold. It is impossible to light a new fire. We have kept this fire going by adding wood every morning and every night." Sorla puts another log into the fire. "It has burned for decades."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." said Kai.

"The Fire is life. If the Fire dies, so will we." said Sorla.

"What if we moved it somehow? Maybe we could transport it with torches?" Lloyd suggested.

"The risk is too great. The Hearth Fire is the heart of our people. It keeps the darkness at bay and gives us hope. If the Fire goes out, our hope is lost. No! We must stay and protect it. We must fight." said Sorla.

"Then we will fight with you." said Lloyd.

The Elders bow and whisper excitedly. "Yes! I cannot believe."

"Go! Prepare yourselves!" The Elders and the ninja, except for Kai, leave. "Do not fear for us, Kai. All will be well."

*Outside.*

Nova summoned her prototype weapon, and made a few tests on it by switching its mode back and forth from sword to blaster. "Okay, so far, no problems."

"Nova, I know we aren't on the best speaking terms right now. But I need you to put that aside for this." said Lloyd, walking over to her.

"I know when to put my anger aside, when it's really needed, Lloyd. So you don't have to worry about me ignoring you." Nova scoffed, now holding her blaster ready for the fight.

"How about you show it in it fight, instead of talking nonsense." said Lloyd.

Nova glared angrily at him as her eyes were glowing purple, she let out a low growl before taking a breath. Calming down as her left eye returned to blue. "You want my action to speak? Fine, I'll show you I can fight without having any problems with you." She walked past him and jumped up on one of the roofs.

Everyone had stopped what they were doing, and watched the tension between them until Nova left.

Nya let out a long whistle. "I've never seen them having such a fight before."

"Let's just hope, they can work together without fighting each other." said Cole.

"By the First Spinjitzu Master, I don't think I can handle seeing them at each other's throats." said Jay, hiding behind Nya.

*Later, The Ice Fishers prepare for battle against the Blizzard Samurai and stand on watch.*

Cole yawns.

Lloyd looks around and sees arrows flying their way. "Look out!" Everyone ducks down. The Blizzard Samurai emerge from the shadows. "They're here! This is it!" The Ice Fishers run to their stations.

"They are so many." said Buma.

Grimfax gives the signal and the Blizzard Samurai charge.

"We can take them!" said Lloyd.

"Yeah! Just get ready to bring it!" said Cole.

"Take what? Bring what?" Uthaug asked.

Cole was about to answer, but was stopped by Nova. "You'll only make it more confusion for him." She turns on her mask and jumped down, and runs at the army while switching her blaster back into a sword.

"....Okay, just follow my lead." Cole throws on his hood and summons his Earth Punch.

Three Blizzard Archers shoot arrows into the air, but Nya expertly twirls her spear, blocking them. Jay electrifies the Samurai and some of them shatter.

"Are these guys made of ice?!" shouted Jay, as one Ice Fisher shoots an arrow at a Blizzard Archer, destroying him.

Nova swings her sword at a Samurai and blocks an attack from behind by another Samurai. "Damn, you guys are annoying." She switched her sword back to a blaster, and used double jump to get into the air and began firing at them.

"Some of them are frozen warriors, others are just ice!" said Cole as the Blizzard Samurai run through the spikes and jump up to the forts. "What about these guys?" Arrows fly, destroying the Sword Masters and Archers as they climb up the forts. "All ice!" The Samurai set up ladders and continued to climb up.

Nova kept on using double jump and shooting with her blaster at each target that was in her sight. "Damn, this is like playing a random mini game."

"Nova! Look out!" shouted Lloyd.

"What?" Nova looked confused at Lloyd, until she felt a sharp pain when an arrow got shot into her right arm. Causing her to fall down on the ice, and holding her injured arm. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I don't need another crack! I already have enough!"

Lloyd runs over and uses Spinjitzu on the closest Samurai. "Ha-ahh!" He turns to look down at Nova, who was trying to get up. "Nova, you shouldn't move, while having an arrow in your arm." He reached out a hand to stop her, but she just slapped it away.

"I'm FINE!" Nova growled, grasping the arrow in her arm and pulled it out. Ignoring the pain as she threw it on the ground. "Now let's take care of these guys. You can worry about me later."

Lloyd clicked his tongue, getting very tired of her attitude and her pushing him away. "Fine, but if I notice anything off while fighting. I'm removing you from it."

"Sure, whatever helps you sleep with a calm mind." said Nova, summoning her daggers instead.

Jay punches. "Yah!" Electrifies another Blizzard Warrior and dodges the rest. They jump down to fight the Ice Fishers, but Cole lands one of the Blizzard Archers, punching him to pieces.

"Hoi-yah!" One of the Blizzard Warriors goes for Cole, but Lloyd launches himself and brings him down. The Warrior turns himself around and stares at Lloyd with human eyes. Lloyd gasps, but the Warrior shakes his head and grabs Lloyd.

Lloyd kicks him backwards. "Whoa! Did you see that?"

"I saw it! It's like the ice was controlling him!" Cole punches the Blizzard Warrior behind him into the spikes. The rest of the Samurai charge through.

*Kai is knocking down the Samurai climbing up the fort. Grimfax leaps up at Kai.*

"Kai!" Grimfax punches Kai into the air.

"You dare defy the Ice Emperor!" Grimfax tries to kill Kai.

"Oh, no, you don't!" Nova quickly jumps in, and uses her daggers to block his attack on Kai, who rolls away.

"Thanks, Nova!" said Kai.

"You will obey or perish! Rarh!" said Grimfax, kicking Nova off the fort, but she quickly uses float so she landed safely on the ground.

Kai grabs a bamboo stick and jumps away. He holds it out in front of him, but Grimfax's axe splits it in half. Grimfax continues hacking away at Kai's stick, until Kai throws the last bit at him. He tries to slice Kai, but Lloyd blocks him with his sword.

"Ha!"

"Oh! Hi, Lloyd." said Kai.

"Heads up!" Cole uses his Earth Punch and claps his hands together, sending Grimfax away. The Ice Fishers surround him.

"It's over." Lloyd throws off his hood. "You've lost."

Grimfax turns his head and sees light coming from the Fire. Two children slam the door shut. "You sheltered the newcomers. You should have known not to defy the Ice Emperor." He grabs his axe and jumps up the roof.

"Get back here! You weasel!" Nova quickly ran after him.

"The Fire. He's going for the Fire!" Kai sprints off.

"Stop him!" shouted Nya.

*Grimfax crashes through the roof. As the ninjas burst through the doors, he brings his axe down on the Fire, putting it out.*

"NO!"

"You have won the battle. But without your Fire, you have lost the war." Sorla looks on in horror. He jumps out. "Fall back!" The Blizzard Samurai fall back, with a Blizzard Archer carrying an injured Warrior. The archers take aim, then stop.

*The Ice Fishers sit around the fire pit, wrapping themselves in blankets. While Nova is getting her arm wrapped in bandages.*

"M-mommy, I'm c-cold." said a child.

Kai watches him sadly as an Ice Fisher wraps a blanket around him. He gazes up at the moon through the hole in the roof. "I'm sorry."

"It is not your fault, Kai." said Sorla.

"I just wish there was something I could do." said Kai.

"You have done all you can, have you not?" said Sorla.

Kai gets up, determined, throws off his blanket, and tries to summon the fire. "Mmph! Mmph! Mnh! Aargh!" He lights up a fire and sighs, relieved.

"Fire Maker." More wood is put in the fire pit.

"Would you look at that, they said the name of the episode." Nova thought to herself.

"Fire Maker. Fire Maker. Fire Maker." Chanted the Elders.

"I did it!" said Kai.

"You sure did!" said Nya.

"Fire Maker. Fire Maker."

"Just listen to them!" said Lloyd.

"Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker!" The Elders continues chanting.

Lloyd went to sit down next to Nova, not saying anything for a while until a sigh was heard.

".....Sorry." said Nova, but wasn't looking at him.

"For what?" Lloyd asked.

"Back on the ice..... you were just worried. I shouldn't have shouted at you." said Nova.

"And?" Lloyd raised an eyebrow.

Nova didn't answer, as she went back to giving him the cold shoulder.

"Seriously? Again?" Lloyd narrowed his eyes at her. "You just apologized, and now we are back to this."

Nova glanced at him, before getting up from where she was sitting and went outside.

She let out a heavy sigh, before pulling something out of her pocket. She opened her hand to see tiny broken shards. "That arrow really did crack me up. At least no one seemed to notice it when they put bandages on me, which is good.... I just hope it doesn't get worse than this."
