*Nya and Jay are repairing the roof on Sorla's home.*

Nya shivers. "Wow. It is cold up here."

Jay shivers. "Yeah. My hands are frozen." Drops the hammer. "I can barely feel my..." Slides off the roof. "Huh? Wha-ah!"

"Jay!" shouted Nya.

The hammer lands on the pile of snow Cole and Nova are shoveling. "Huh?" Cole and Nova looks up to see Jay falling down.

"Ahh!" Jay lands on the snow pile in front of Cole and Nova.

"Jay? Do you mind? We are trying to work here." said Cole.

"Yeah, and could you not splash snow on me." said Nova, having to remove the snow that had landed on her, when Jay fell into their snow pile.

"Jay! Are you okay?" Nya asked.

Cole yanks him up. "Aw, yeah. Just great. But I'm getting a little tired of all this ice and snow." Nya jumps off the roof to join them.

"Hey, Nya? Ice is water, right? Why can't you just, you know, use your powers and clear away all this snow and ice for us?" Cole asked.

"Guess I can't command water when it's frozen. It won't move." said Nya.

"Aw, that's a bummer." Nya realizes what he's saying and frowns. "You could've been really useful." Jay sees Nya's expression and tries to signal Cole to stop talking. "Wouldn't that be awesome? If she could just wave her hands and presto! Job done!" Continues shoveling. "That would save us hours and hours of slow, boring, back-breaking work." Nya and Nova bends down and make a snowball. "Oh, well, we'll just have to do it the slow, boring, back-breaking way." Nya and Nova chucks it at him. "Ow! Hey..."

"You so deserved that, and you know it cake eater." said Nova, tapping his stomach.

"Hey! I don't wanna hear cake jokes from you, it's already enough hearing it from Kai!" said Cole, glaring at Nova.

Nova rolled her eyes, and went back to shoveling snow.

Jay chuckles. "Speaking of slow, where's Kai?" Three children run by towards Kai, lying in a hammock, holding fish on sticks.

"Hey! Fire Maker! Fire Maker! Fire Maker!" said the children.

"Make the fire! Make the fire!" said a child.

"Mine too!" said the second child.

"Cook mine! Cook mine!" said the third child.

"Okay, okay, one at a time." Kai cooks their fish, and they leave, chattering happily.

"Oh, yeah! You were right! Look at his big gang!" said the second child.

"Hey, where are you going? There's more where that came from! Fire Maker has more miracles!" said Kai.

"Fire Maker has more miracles?" Nya questioned.

"Eh, just keeping the kids entertained." said Kai.

"I think he means, his ego being entertained." Nova whispered to Jay and Cole, making both of them chuckle.

"Ah, okay, as long as you're not straining yourself." said Nya.

"Oh, no. I feel great! You know, this place is actually growing on me. It's really not so bad." Kai lies down and relaxes.

Jay and Cole exchange looks and play along. "Well, that's good. That's what it's all about, isn't it?" said Jay.

"Ooo, this is gonna be fun to watch." Nova thought, using her shovel to lean on.

"You bet. Rest and relaxation." said Cole.

"It is?" Kai asked.

"No! It isn't!" Nya grabs Kai's hammock and swings it so hard, Kai slams to the ground. Nya storms away.

Cole and Nova laughs. "Hahaha!"

"Hey!" shouted Kai, while Nya leaves, panting.

"You so deserved that." said Nova, high-fiving Cole and Jay.

*With Nya.*

"What troubles you, Nya?" Sorla asked.

Nya walks over to Sorla on the riverbank. "Nothing, I... I'm happy for Kai. His powers are coming back and that's... great, I guess. It's just..." Sighs.

"What?" Sorla asked.

Nya sighs. "My own powers. In this place, they don't work. I can't do anything."

"You are a Water Elemental, are you not?" said Sorla.

"Yes, but the water here is frozen. I can't control ice. They're two different elements." said Nya.

"They are different, but one. There can be no ice without water." said Sorla.

"It doesn't listen to me." said Nya.

"Then you must speak more clearly." Sorla chuckles and leaves Nya to herself.

Nya, encouraged by Sorla's advice, she tries to make an icicle move, but she gives up. "Ugh! Stubborn piece of ice!" She kicks the home and snow falls on her. "Oh!" More snow falls on her. "That's it! I hate ice! And I hate this... this place!" She gets ready to kick the house again. "And I hate...!"

"Nya? You okay?" Lloyd asked.

"I... it's nothing. I just feel... useless without my powers." said Nya.

Lloyd jumps down on to the frozen river and slips. "You're not useless—whoa! In fact, that's what I wanted to ask you. I need you to protect the village with the others, in case those come back." Nya hauls him up her side of the bank.

"What about you?" Nya asked.

"I have to go away for a while." said Lloyd.

"Going after Zane? I hope you don't think you're going alone. We're coming with you." said Nya.

"I've thought about this, Nya. There's only two ways into that castle, by force and by stealth, and force won't work. You've seen how powerful the Ice Emperor is." said Lloyd, while in the background, Cole is seen pushing the hammock with Jay and Kai in it. While Nova is standing to the side, watching with a smirk on her face.

"So we sneak in, like the crafty ninjas we are." Nya turns to see hammock knock Cole onto the ground and Jay fly into a tree. With Nova laughing out loud.

"Ahh!"

"Ha-unh!" Kai splats flat on the ground.

"That was so worth it to watch! Hahahaha!" said Nova laughing, while holding her stomach.

"One of us has a better chance than six. And the Ice Emperor will be watching you guys, not me. He'll send more of those Blizzard Samurai here, which is why I need you to stay and protect these people." said Lloyd.

"So we draw his attention, while you sneak in and find Zane." said Nya.

"Exactly." said Lloyd.

"But wait, what about Nova? She is very good with the shadows, and even as a thief. Wouldn't it increase the chance of getting Zane back if she went with you?" Nya asked.

Lloyd sighs as he scratches the back of his head. "Yeah, probably but we aren't getting along at the moment. We aren't even on speaking terms, I think it would be better if she stayed here with you guys."

Nya sighs. "Okay, it's risky, but it could work."

"It will work. Trust me." said Lloyd.

The Ice Fishers and the ninjas gather around to watch Lloyd leave.

Nya hands a tracker to Lloyd. "At least take this with you. It's key to the mech. If you get close enough, it should start beeping."

"Okay, thanks." said Lloyd.

Jay hands an astonished Lloyd a fish. "And you'll need this."

Nova had to hold back a giggle from the look on Lloyd's face.

"What's that?" Lloyd asked, while glaring over at Nova.

"Dried fish. Not as bad as it sounds. Kind of like beef jerky, actually." said Jay.

"You want me to light it for you?" Kai summons his fire. Nya glares at him.

"Bruh..." Nova whispered.

"No, thanks. I'll save it for later." said Lloyd.

"Oh, good. 'Cause I'm actually kind of wiped. My powers aren't fully back yet." said Kai.

"Oh, one more thing." said Cole.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "What else?"

"Nova has decided to join you." The ninjas quickly began shoving Nova towards him.

"WHAT!? I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!" yelled Nova, as she got shoved over to Lloyd's side.

Lloyd had a confused look on his face at this, but tried holding back at chuckle.

"Sorry Nova, but we think it would be for the best, for everyone if you went with him, and maybe fix whatever is going on between you two." said Nya.

"What!? You guys can't be serious!" shouted Nova, throwing her arms into the air.

"Good luck, you two, and watch your back out there." said Cole.

Jay waves as Lloyd takes Nova's hand, and began dragging her with him, much to her dismay.

Nova groans in annoyance. "Couldn't you just leave me back with the others, I'm pretty sure they could use some extra help."

"That was the plan, but looks like they want us to fix our problem instead along the way." said Lloyd, still dragging her. "Now, could you please stop resisting so much. That way I wouldn't have to keep dragging you."

"If you don't like dragging me, then why don't you just let go of my hand already." Nova complained.

"Okay, fine." said Lloyd, letting go. Causing Nova to start slipping on the ice, but quickly grabbed his arm. Pulling him down with her.

"I'm starting to hate ice, so much." said Nova.

"Same here." groans Lloyd, slowly getting up and went to take Nova's hand, but ended up slipping on the ice and landed on top of her.

Nova's face began turning red like a tomato at this, and tried pushing him off of her. "L-Lloyd move your lazy ass!"

Lloyd rubbed his head before looking down to see a blushing Nova, trying her best to push him off. He cleared his throat as to try and focus on the mission ahead, though couldn't help glancing at her a few times before finally getting off.

"And I thought Cole needed to lose some weight." Nova mumbled, slowly getting up and making sure not to slip this time.

"Hey! I'm not that heavy, maybe you just aren't as strong as you thought." said Lloyd, with a smirk on his face.

Nova huffed, pushing him to the side before walking on ahead, not saying another word.

Lloyd was shaking his head and followed her for a good while. "Sooo, are you gonna tell me, why you haven't used your powers for a while?"

Nova didn't answer and just kept walking ahead as she was giving him the cold shoulder again.

"Nova, would you stop giving me the cold shoulder already." said Lloyd, getting annoyed at this point, and began picking up speed to catch up.

He still didn't get an answer from her, and she kept giving the cold shoulder.

"NOVA!" shouted Lloyd, finally having enough of it as he grabbed her and pushed her against a tree. "Stop giving me the cold shoulder! How am I to know what's upsetting you, when you wouldn't even talk to me!"

Nova knew he was getting annoyed, but not to this point of annoyed. So she was kind of surprised by this action of his. "How can you not know! You betrayed my trust Lloyd!"

"How did I betray your trust!?" shouted Lloyd, annoyed and confused.

"I told you the reason why I never shared my future sights! I told you we would win against Aspheera! But the moment we lost Zane, you questioned why I didn't mentioned that part! I had my reasons! Because I knew he was alive! But I couldn't fucking tell you!" shouted Nova, changing to her oni form as she pushed him away.

"Why couldn't you! We all thought he was dead! You didn't even try to defend yourself! Or even give a hint that he was alive!" shouted Lloyd, throwing his arms into the air. His eyes ever so slightly changed to purple.

"Because it isn't my decision on what happens! I'm just making sure it doesn't affect the timeline!" shouted Nova, slamming a fist into the tree behind her. A small sound of something cracking was heard, but was ignored by the both of them.

"How can it not be your decision! You pretty much see and know everything that is gonna happen! But you choose not to act on it!" shouted Lloyd.

"That is the fucking reason you lego head! That's why I don't fucking share anything that I know!" shouted Nova, slamming her fist into the tree again. Another cracking sound was heard.

"Is that also the reason you haven't told me anything about your powers! By the First Spinjitzu Master, Nova! We are a team, we are supposed to trust each other! I'm your boyfriend, for god's sake!" shouted Lloyd.

"Me, not telling you anything about my powers! Has nothing to do with my future sight!" shouted Nova, slamming her fist hard against the tree. A louder cracking was heard.

"Then what the fuck is it then!" shouted Lloyd.

Nova narrowed her eyes at him, until she noticed his normal green energy at his hands was changing to purple. "No..... that's too soon." Her eyes widened in fear, and tried taking a step back, But ended up with her back against the tree again.

Lloyd noticed the change in her eyes, and the way her body language went from anger and defensive. To fear and nervousness, he let out a heavy sigh, running his fingers through his hair. Trying to calm down. "Ocea, what is actually going on with you. I can understand I betrayed your trust with your future sight, but you can still trust me with anything else."

Nova noticed him calming down, and his eyes going back to those vivid green eyes she was used to. Taken a deep breath, she changed back to her human form.

"...I....my powers...they." Nova wasn't sure how to explain it, as she turned her head to avoid eye contact with him.

Lloyd took a step closer to her, and placed a hand against the left side of her face. Gently having her turn to look him in the eyes, he noticed the fear and sadness in hers. "You can trust me, Nova, so please stop shutting me out all the time. As a couple, we should be able to rely on and trust each other, and have each other's back."

Nova wanted to look away, as she didn't want him to see how fragile she actually was. But his eyes were making it hard for her to fight back, as tears slowly began running down her face.

"...My powers they....ever since I touched the forbidden scroll, my powers has....been unstable. Whenever I try using them, I feel a sharp pain in my chest." She said.

Lloyd gave her a worried look after hearing this, so he gently took her hand, but the moment he took it, she let out a painful winch.

"What was that? Are you hurt?" He asked.

Nova tried pulling her hand away, but he wasn't letting her. "Nova, you can trust me. So please don't hide it when you're hurt." said Lloyd.

"But..... this is something I don't want you to see... I'm.... I'm scared you'll start seeing me as fragile or even weak because of it." said Nova.

A soft smile grew on Lloyd's face. "I'll never see you as that. By the First Spinjitzu Master, you are the most stubborn and hard headed person I know. If anything, you'll never be fragile to me." He slowly turned her hand and removed the glove.

Nova tried holding back anymore tears from coming, but wasn't able to as more just came out. When he removed her glove, he saw a few cracks around her hand and a few shards falling down on the snow.

"Ocea, your hand it's... how long has this been happening?" Lloyd asked, pulling out some bandages and began wrapping them around her hand.

"Just recently." said Nova, observing him put bandages on her hand. Before putting her glove back on.

"You should have told me and the others." said Lloyd, take her other hand in his.

"...I'm sorry, Lloyd.....I was scared of what you guys would think of me." said Nova, trying to wipe away her tears.

Lloyd pulled her close into a hug, with one arm wrapped around her while the other was still holding her hand. "We would never think anything bad of it, and I'm sure Master Wu has something that can help when we find a way home."

A small smile grew on Nova's face, hiding her face against his chest and just listened to his heartbeat for a while.

After everything seemed to have calmed down between them, Nova slowly pulled away from the hug. "We should probably get moving, can't stay here the whole day."

Lloyd chuckles softly at that as he nods. "Yeah, let's get a move on."

They began moving again, while still holding each other's hand.

*Some time later.*

Lloyd and Nova are walking down the path to the castle. A white wolf watches them as Lloyd drinks his water and offers some to Nova that she gladly takes, while he checks his map, then vanishes behind the trees. Lloyd turns around, then continues down the path. He and Nova stop at the sound of two Frost Wolves and pull out their swords.

"Time for round three." said Nova, ready for another fight.

"Gah!" One of the frost wolves runs at Lloyd, but the white wolf knocks it down. Both of the frost wolves run away. "Huh. Wow." He notices the three tails on the wolf. "I've never seen a wolf like you before." The wolf growls.

"Pretty cool, I'll say." said Nova, unsummoning her sword.

"What do you want? I bet you're hungry. Well, don't even think about it. I fight back." said Lloyd, but the wolf whimpers.

"Lloyd put away your sword, she is probably just hungry." said Nova.

"Huh? She?" Lloyd questioned, putting away his sword slowly.

"Yeah, she. Now how about you give her that fish of yours." said Nova.

"....Okay." said Lloyd, and tosses the fish at her. "You can eat that, okay? Truce?" They walk away, checking the map, and stops at Mala-Wojira.

"Mala-Wojira? "If you make a sound, Wojira's wrath will strike you down." Okay. No sound. Quiet as a breeze." Lloyd was about to sneeze, but Nova quickly covered his mouth with her hand.

Nova was shaking her head at him, before letting go, thinking it was safe. Only for him to still let out a sneeze and some snow ended with falling down on her.

Lloyd tried holding back a chuckle by seeing her covered in snow, while Nova was sending him a death glare. Which wasn't very effective as a smirk grew on his face.

Nova went on to point at him, and then punching her fist into her other hand. But let out a quiet winch from the pain of her cracked hand.

Lloyd shook his head and gently took her hand, before leading both of them through the pass. Their footfalls become quieter and less snow falls. Lloyd stops and lights an energy ball in the fog and gasps at the sight of three Blizzard Samurai.

"Huh?" Lloyd immediately launches energy balls at them and knocks two of them down. As he pulls his sword out, a Blizzard Warrior drags him down along with Nova. "Gah!" They try to freeze them by spreading ice over them. Lloyd kicks them back, and Spinjitzu. More Samurai jump on him, trapping him until they are shot back by Nova's blaster that she had summoned. Lloyd sees the pass behind them.

"Lloyd, don't you dare." Nova whispered.

"Wojira's wrath? Wojira's wrath!" An avalanche caves in and Lloyd jumps away. Lloyd wakes up later, coughing, and sees the white wolf from before with Nova sitting to the side.

"Morning sleeping beauty." said Nova, giving a small smile. "You should thank our wolf friend here, she really saved our skins."

"You saved my life. Thank you. My name is Lloyd and this is Nova. What am I doing? I gotta be crazy. You can't understand me." said Lloyd, only to be hit by a snowball from Nova. "Don't be so sure." She said getting up. The wolf jumps up as Lloyd and Nova follows her.

"It's getting colder. We need to find shelter." The wind slows down and the Land Bounty is seen. "I don't believe it! The-the Land Bounty!" Lloyd and Nova ran over and goes to the controls.

"P-p-please w-w-work. Oh, what a mess. Scopes are down, systems are fried. This is hopeless." said Lloyd.

"Don't give up just yet, Lloyd." said Nova, coming over with an aid kit and a lantern that she found and sits down with him.

"Even if we rescue Zane from the castle, we still have no way home. What was I thinking? we can't do this alone." said Lloyd.

Nova rested her head on his shoulder. "But we are not alone, Lloyd, we have each other and the wolf."

Lloyd wrapped an arm around Nova, and pulled her close as to keep each other warm, until the wolf came in.

"Easy for you to howl. You're a wolf." Lloyd sighs. "Tomorrow, we go back to the village and make a new plan."

Nova rested at his side, but didn't fell asleep right away, as she looked at her right hand. ".....Lloyd?"

"Hm?" Lloyd opened an eye and looked over at her.

"...Can you promise me something?" Nova asked.

"Heh, a second promise? Sounds like it must be very important, if you're asking for a promise." said Lloyd, a smirk growing on his face.

".....Please don't hate me for anything in the future, that I can't share." said Nova, thinking about when they are gonna lose Nya, and then later on with Lloyd believing the ninjas died, because of Harumi.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow at her, before giving her a kiss on the head. "I promise moonie." He said, resting his head on top of hers, as both of them fell asleep.

The wolf wakes up at the sound of the beeping from the mech. "Huh?" Lloyd gasps, shaking Nova to wake her up. "What?"

Lloyd picks up the tracker. "The mech? Wait! The mech! If it still works, that would give us a chance against the Ice Emperor! What do you two say? You in?" The wolf barks excitedly.

"Huh. Awesome! Hang on, Zane! Here we come!" shouted Lloyd.

"Let's go! Next stop, Zane!" shouted Nova, smiling.
