Why And How Am I In Ninjago!? | Lloyd x OC

Yeah, I decided to combine these two, as it wouldn't make much sense in doing them separated. When one of them is mostly just about Akita's past, and we don't get much for Lloyd and Nova.

We get a little fluff. :3

*Akita, Nova and Lloyd sit around the lantern. She tells them of her tribe before Vex came.*

Nova was leaning against Lloyd with her head on his shoulder, while he had his arm wrapped around her, holding her close to him as they were holding each other's hand.

"My story begins long ago. A time before the Long Winter. A time when our was still lush and green." Akita began explaining, as animals are seen helping each other.

"A time... before I lost everything. We lived and worked in the forest, together, happily. We were Formlings, and we lived in peace. And at the end of the day, we returned to our village. It was a beautiful place, built deep in the forest. It was my home. But my brother and I, being younglings, had not yet found our animal forms." She stops to watch two people transform into antelopes. "And despite what I told my brother, I was nervous."

*Flashback.*

Akita's brother chucks a snowball at her.

"What is it? Don't tell me you're still nervous?" said Kataru.

"No." said Akita.

"I can see it in your eyes." said pas Kataru.

"Well, I cannot help it. What if something goes wrong? And I do not find my animal form? The Choosing is a week away. What if I am not ready?" Akita questioned.

Kataru tosses a snowball up and down. "You are ready. All who are pure of heart find their animal form." Akita smashes his snowball with hers.

"Not all." said Akita.

"That was a long time ago. And it only happened once. Trust me, we will both find our animal forms. And we will run together in the forests all day and night. You'll see." said Kataru.

"The week passed, but my anxiety did not." told present Akita.

Akita and Kataru approach before the Formling Leader. He dips his hand into face paint and marks their faces with distinctive whiskers. The tribe gasps and Akita turns to see Vex.

"Ah, just in time for another Choosing." Vex makes his way through the villagers. "Such a brutal, savage tradition. And what will you do with these innocent children if their animal form does not come to them? Will you reject them. As you did me?"

"We did not reject you, Vex. You exile was of your own choosing." said the Leader.

"Lies. When I did not find my form, you turned against me. All of you. You mocked me in secret, you whispered behind my back. Vex, the pathetic. Vex, the shameful. Vex the Formless." said Vex.

"That is your fear speaking. You distrust the world, Vex. You see the worst even when it does not exist." said the Leader.

"I have had years to dwell on your betrayal. Years of resentment, alone, in the Wilds, and I realize now, it is time for your power to end. In my journeys, I have discovered a power that dwarfs your Formling abilities, an elemental power." The crowd breaks out into murmurs. "You can bow to me now, willingly, or when I return in force unwillingly. In either event, I will assume my rightful place over you. The choice is yours." said Vex.

"You are a fool, Vex. And we will not abide your threats." said the Leader.

"You will regret this." said Vex.

*The present.*

Nova listened closely to Akita talking about her past, even though she had heard and seen it a lot of times, it felt different when hearing about it in person.

She let out a slight humming, but enjoyed herself as she was getting comfortable and closed her eyes. Listening closely to Lloyd's breathing along with Akita's story was kind of soothing for her, which was rare for her these days.

"Don't fall asleep now, moonie." Lloyd whispered.

"I'm not, now, focus on Akita's story about her past." whispered Nova.

*Back to the flashback.*

"Vex returned to the forests from whence he came. And we resumed the Choosing. But I was uneasy. Kataru and I entered the Wilderness, unsure where our journey would take us, fearing that Vex's return was a bad omen. The Choosing must pass in silence. So we did not speak. We waited. And waited. For what, we did not know. A sign, a vision... something to guide us to our animal forms. And everyday, we traveled further into unknown lands. And the further we traveled, the more concerned I became that I would never find my form. That I would turn angry and bitter like Vex, the Formless."

Akita finally falls asleep. "But then... finally..." She wakes up suddenly.

"Akita." The Spirit called out.

Akita gasps. "Huh?" She gets up and looks over to see Kataru gone. She walks on and finds a tree.

The Spirit kept calling out to her. "Akita." Akita climbs up the tree. "Akita." She makes it to the top and jumps on the clouds. A cloud path lays out for her and she follows it. "Akita". A three-tailed wolf spirit weaves around her and leaps through her. The spirit looks back at her and Akita gives chase. She eventually reaches the spirit and leaps into it, taking the form with her.

Akita finds herself back on land in her wolf form and checks out her reflection in a pond. She then hears a growl and takes stance. A bear leaps out and confronts until he sees the markings on Akita. He then turns to the pond and sees his reflection and hers. "Kataru."

"Akita." Kataru leaps out of his animal form, and Akita does the same. They run and hug each other. "We did it. We found our forms. I told you they would come to us."

"Ha. I should've guessed you would be a bear. It fits you." said Akita.

"Because I am so strong?" said Kataru with a smirk.

Akita snorts. "Because you are loud, always hungry, and sleep half the year." They laugh.

"And look at you. A wolf. Cunning and sharp. With big teeth." said Kataru.

Akita chuckles. "Come on. What are we waiting for? See if you can keep up!" They race away in their animal forms. Kataru paws snow into her face, playfully, and brings down berries from a tree. They howl and roar to the moon.

"I cannot wait to get back and show the others." said Kataru.

"You go ahead. I want to go on one more run." said Akita.

"You have the restlessness of a wolf now." Akita transforms back into her wolf and runs off to howl to the moon. "See you soon, sister." said Kataru.

Akita howls and transforms back to her human form and watches the moon. Then, she sees Boreal swoop by her and head for her village. "No!" She transforms to her wolf and runs off to the village. She finds it frozen. When she sees her angry leader frozen, she cries. None of the villagers can be heard, except for their heartbeat. She turns around and sees the Ice Emperor and Vex watching her from above. She pulls out her dagger and heads for them, but stops when she hears Boreal's roar. Kataru leaps out in front of Akita and growls at Boreal. "Kataru!" Kataru scratches its wings and it screeches, flying away to take another blow at him. "Kataru! Run! Please." Akita runs to him, but Boreal froze the ground and Kataru blocked Akita, covering Kataru with ice and snow. "No. Kataru." She clutches the snow. "Kataru!" Tears spill out as she turns to see the Ice Emperor, Vex, and Boreal leave, satisfied. She walks through the frozen village and into the forest.

*Flashback ends.*

"I walked out of the village and never looked back. I will not return again until Vex and his master, the Ice Emperor, are brought to justice." said Akita.

"I had no idea." said Lloyd, as he was shaking Nova awake, who opened her eyes and sent him a glare.

"Now you know." said Akita.

"The Ice Emperor captured our friend, Zane. We're going to get him back. Which means you, Nova and I, we're on the same quest." said Lloyd.

"Not the same." Akita pulls her dagger from behind. "You two seek to rescue your friend." She takes the dagger out of its sheath. "I seek revenge."

Nova rolled her eyes as she pushed away Lloyd's arm, before getting up from where she was sitting. "Well, thank you for telling us this, as we now have a better understanding of all of this. Kind of." She stretched her body before turning towards the mech. "Better get going then, before anything else tries to kill us."

Lloyd let out a sigh before getting up too and grabbing the lantern. "Aye, aye, princess." He said, following after Nova to the mech and getting back in it with her.

Nova tried to elbow him in the guts, but Lloyd had already seen it coming, so he easily blocked it. "Not this time, princess." He had a smirk on his face.

"Keep going, boogers, and I'll give you hell." Nova glared at him.

"Then I better be ready for that." said Lloyd.

Nova rolled her eyes in annoyance. "So annoying."

"I love you too, moonie." said Lloyd, kissing her cheek, before picking up Akita so she wouldn't have to walk on her injured leg. As they started moving again.

Nova just let out a heavy sigh as she rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes.

"Already tired?" Lloyd questioned.

"Shut up, you guys are the reason I woke up early in the morning." said Nova.

"Well, the sooner we are up and awake, the faster we'll get to saving Zane." said Lloyd.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, now let me get some rest already, greenbean." said Nova.

Lloyd took a glance down at her, and observed her breathing slowly as she was listening to his heartbeat. A small smile appeared on his face before turning his focus back on, getting to the Castle of Ice.

*Some time later, Lloyd and Nova are on the Titan Mech holding Akita. They come across a big glacier they have to cross to get to the castle.*

"There it is." said Lloyd, as he started shaking Nova gently awake.

"Hmm?" Nova slowly opened her eyes as she got woken up, and noticed that they had stopped.

Akita shape shifts back into her human form. "What are we waiting for?"

"It's gonna be dark soon. We'll have a better chance of crossing the glacier by daylight." said Lloyd.

As night falls, Akita, Nova and Lloyd sit by the lantern, trying to get warm.

"When you have rescued your friend Zane, what will you do?" Akita asked.

"Go back to Ninjago, if there's a way. What about you?" said Lloyd, as he had his arms wrapped around Nova, holding her close so they could stay warm.

Nova simply leaned back against Lloyd's chest, not minding this, as she enjoyed the comfort it was giving her.

"I do not know. The forest is my home." said Akita.

"Maybe you can come with us!" said Lloyd.

Nova glanced up at Lloyd, with a raised eyebrow. "I swear, if the plot messes with our relationship at the end of adventure, I'm setting the lightning chicken after him."

"Do you have Formlings in Ninjago?" Akita asked.

"No." said Lloyd, while ignoring the glare Nova was giving him.

"Then I would be alone there, too." said Akita.

"You wouldn't be alone! You'd be with us! We have a really cool Monastery, video games, a hot tub, uh, there's just these chickens you have to watch out for." Akita laughs. Boreal approaches the castle, returning from his mission. Akita sniffs the air. "What is it?" Lloyd asked.

"Something is coming." Akita transforms back into her wolf form. Lloyd jumps back into the mech with Nova and starts it up. They spot Boreal flying back to the castle. Lloyd presses the mech against the wall and Boreal passes by. Lloyd sighs, relieved, but then it turns back around. Akita growls, alerting him.

"Shit." Nova whispered, while holding on to Lloyd.

Lloyd looks up, surprised. "Gah! Akita, get behind me!" He activates the slicer and places it in front of him. Boreal blasts his ice out, but Lloyd blocks the ice and reflects it back. Boreal screeches and flies up. He roars and blasts his ice around Lloyd, trapping the mech.

"No!" Akita barks at Lloyd, but Boreal lands on the ice and prepares to freeze her. "Come on, come on!" Akita dodges the ice, leaps under the dragon, and snarls. Lloyd manages to break the mech free of the ice. Boreal tries to freeze him and Nova, but Lloyd covers its mouth and throws it to the ground. Boreal swings his tail at him and tries to fly away. But Lloyd grabs its leg, and it freezes the right hand of the mech. Boreal soars into the air, dragging him along. "No! Not good, not good!"

"You don't fucking say!" shouted Nova.

"Warning: Hull integrity at 40%." Boreal dives down and continues dragging the mech.

"Ahh!" Lloyd and Nova screamed.

"30%." Akita runs toward Boreal. "20%. Warning, warning. Hull integrity: 10%."

"I can count down to my own impending doom, thank you!" said Lloyd and Nova in unison as they see that Boreal is trying to crash them into a wall. Lloyd tries to slow down by dragging the mech on ice. The frozen ice on the mech starts breaking, but Boreal throws the mech into the wall and flies up. The mech gets destroyed and Lloyd climbs out with Nova, both injured. Boreal lands down and crawls toward Lloyd and Nova to freeze them. Akita runs up its spine and closes its mouth. Boreal tosses her against the wall, injuring her. "Akita!" Lloyd groans. "Unh. Eh."

"Okay, that's it! No one hurts my friend or my man!" shouted Nova, running towards Boreal as she ignored the pain in her heart as the sound of cracking was heard when she began shooting a beam of darkness at Boreal.

"I'm putting you in the grave early, motherfucker!" Nova kept attacking Boreal and would use the shadows to avoid its attacks. While ignoring the pain growing until she made a mistake, as Boreal swung its tail at her just as she came out of the shadows, and knocked her out.

*Meanwhile, in the throne room, Vex looks through Boreal's eyes with his crystal.*

"No, bring them to the Ice Emperor." Boreal grabs Lloyd and Nova and heads toward the Ice Castle. Akita transforms back into her human form and watches helplessly.

Lloyd groans. "Eh. Unh." At the front of the castle, Vex and two Blizzard Warriors are waiting for him and Nova. Boreal drops both of them.

Nova let out a painful gasp as she woke up, but she didn't have much strength in herself to move much. "Fuck this shit." She mumbled, as she could feel more loose shards coming from her right wrist, under her glove.

"Pick them up. They pick Lloyd and Nova up. Vex inspects them before dragging both of them inside. In the throne room, guards the Emperor and he wakes up. The two warriors drop him. Lloyd groans and opens his eyes, trying to bring his focus in the room. "My Emperor, behold, the strangers in green and purple." The Emperor gets off his throne and makes his way down the steps.

Lloyd takes a look at the Emperor and sees a scroll encased in ice. He realizes that the Scepter is really a naginata with a Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu frozen, and that the Ice Emperor is his former friend. "Zane?"

"Wu, better, fucking have some kind of tea that can fix me, after this shit." Nova thought to herself, as she glared over at Vex before looking over at Ice Emperor, in concern. "Zane."
