Wolf Kissed Soul

Chapter 9: When Dazy died, Prizey rose (Part-one)..

She's screaming hard.

"Xavier... Xavier. Please safe me. I know you love me. Please don't leave me alone."

She whispered.

"This Mark? It's your Mark. Right? It's ----its your sign.

Noooooooooooo"

She screamed his name, louder this time.

"Xavierrrrrrrrrrr."

Her mother burst into the room, hear racing.

"Dazy, Wake up. Open your eyes my heart. It's --its just a nightmare! You're safe, no one's going to hurt you."

Dazy jolted up, gasping for breath. Her body shaking uncontrollably.

Tears ran down her face.

"Mama...mama, I'm scared."

She sobbed. Clutching onto her like a child drowning in shadows.

"I'm here, sweetheart. I'm right here.

You're safe." Her mother hugged her tightly. Whispering again and again: "Everything is ok."

But it wasn't the first time. It's happened before. But, this time it's feel differently darker.

The Next Day.....

Her mother took no chances. She visited to a dream reader. Worried and exhausted she explained every detail about Dazy's nightmares, trembling and emotional state.

At College.....

Aliyah approached Dazy at break time.

"Hey! I know, I don't have any friends here. And I've been sitting with you lately....so I was wondering...will you be my friend?"

Dazy looked at her for a moment. And then without a word.... hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry. For how I behaved before."

She whispered.

But Aliyah was never upset with her. Their friendship blossomed fast and deep....until one day....

Dazy found out.

Aliyah was Robin's ex.

And her world fell apart again.

"You lied to me.".. Dazy whispered, her voice cracking.

"No, no dear. I didn't lie. I just didn't get the chance to tell you yet.....

You knew what he did to me and you were with him?"

"I left him, because of the same reason. Dazy! I tried to protect you. Listen to me.."

But Dazy wasn't listening to her. The betrayal cut's deeper than Robin's kiss ever had.

Their voices rose. Words becomes wounds.

The friendship....shattered.

(Meanwhile at the dream readers den...)

She poured out everything --- her daughters dreams, her mark on her skin, the name she screamed ever night, Xavier...

The dream reader leaned in, eyes wide.

"You don't understand, do you? This isn't just trauma. Your daughter... she's not yours..."

Her mother shocked: "Wha--- what?"

Dream reader: "Yes, she belongs to someone else."

Her mother: "Someone else?"

Dream reader: "she's claimed. That mark on her body. That's a stamp. A symbol of bond, ancient and unbreakable. It belongs to him. The one who has a driving right on her soul. The one who's name your daughter screaming every night."

Her mother: "You mean.... Xavier?"

Dream reader: " Yes, a ware.....a ware."

She stammered.

But before the reader could say more...

She clutched her chest.

A sudden heart attack.

Eyes wide in shocked.

Dazy's mother screamed.

She's seizing move faster.

Dazy 's mother Helen ran alongside the stretcher. Her voice caught between sobs and prayers. Nurses shouted orders. Machines beeped wildly.

The dream readers body convulsed on the bed. Her eyes fluttering like moth wing's.

"Will she survive?" Helen cried. Griping the doctors coat

"I'm not sure." The doctor reply solemnly.

'But I'll do everything, I can.'

Helen's hand trembled: "Please, not now... when she was so close to telling me. She's important."

She whispered.

"More to the stars, than anyone else.

Please, don't take her away."

The doctor nodded, motioning towards the hallway: "we'll try. But for now..... go home! We'll call her family."

The Nun Sister.....

There was only one person to call, the dream readers younger sister. Sister Agatha. A quite nun, who lived in a chapel trucked deep in the towns old quarter.

Helen found her praying alone. Candlelight casting halos in her silver threaded veil.

"She's in the hospital." Helen whispered.

"She.....she saw something--- something that broke her."

Agatha's hands paused in mid- prayer. Her expressions didn't shift but her knuckles whitened.

At College....

"Dazy... please! Just listen."

Aliyah's voice echoed down the empty hallway. Dazy walked faster. Wiping tears , as she stormed towards the washroom. Her heels sharply clicked against the floor.

"Dazy, Aliyah chased her. I didn't mean to hide anything ---- just listen to me.!"

Dazy slammed the door shut. Aliyah banged on,d the other side. Voice cracking.

"Dazy, open the door! Please..."

Inside Dazy slumped to the floor. Her back is against the floor. Her knees hugged tight to her chest, her breath trembled. And the storm inside her broke free.

"Why.....just why..?"

"Why does the everyone betray me?"

"I hate this.... I hate myself."

"Aliyah's voice softened: I know, I should have told you.... I was just scared... please don't shut me out."

Five long minutes passed.

When the door finally opened. Dazy stood tall---but her eyes was cold and distant.

Her voice was ice.

"We're done..."

"Our friendship is over. Go!"

Aliyah: " But Dazy?"

Dazy: " I said..goooooooo"

She screamed.

Aliyah flinched and stepped back. Her heart aching as Dazy walked passed without a second glance.

Later that night, at home...

Helen stirred milk into her coffee. Trying to steady her nerves. Dazy entered the kitchen slowly, reaching for the milk jug in the fridge.

"You know what happened today?" Helen said. Trying to keep her voice calm.

"I went to see that dream reader again".

"Dazy blinked:" The one from before?"

"Yes, I wanted answer. But before she could speak. She collapsed. A heart attack."

Dazy' s brows knit together: "What...? That's scary."

"I know sweetheart. I don't know. What to behave anymore."

Dazy let out a deep long breath. Her body aches. Her dreams were still hunting her. She whispered good night and walk back to her room. Where she reached for the sleeping pills just to make it one more night without screaming.

(This is the part-3 of flashback, but part-1 of Prizey's transformation.).....
