Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Apologize, Su Qiqi
Before long, everyone in the Su family had suffered minor injuries from Su Chen’s relentless struggles.
Su Zhenxing had a scratch across his face, courtesy of Su Chen’s fingernails.
Liu Yanran’s once-elegant, classically styled hair was now a mess, and there was even a strand on the floor that looked like Su Chen had yanked it out.
Su Lili frowned in pain, occasionally glancing at her wrist, where a bruise was forming from Su Chen’s kicks.
Su Mu winced and hopped on one foot—Su Chen had stomped on it so hard that he suspected it was already swelling.
Finally, Su Zhenxing couldn’t take it anymore. He roared in anger.
“Enough, Su Chen!”
“Have you lost your mind?!”
“Calm down right now!”
Enough?
Of course not!
Su Chen sneered internally. They thought this little suffering was unbearable? Did it compare to the humiliation and pain he had endured in his past life when they falsely accused him of being a thief?
Still, it was frustrating that Su Qiqi had managed to escape into the bathroom before he could land a single hit on her. That was a miscalculation.
No, he couldn’t let her get away.
In his past life, he had overheard Su Qiqi admitting that she hadn’t had time to hide the stolen watch elsewhere. She had kept it in her dress pocket the entire time.
That meant…
If he could force her out, he could turn the tables completely!
This time, Su Chen wasn’t just going to clear his name—he was going to put the “thief” label on Su Qiqi instead!
His movements became even wilder, his strength even greater, his voice even louder.
“Not enough!” he bellowed.
“Su Qiqi framed me, and none of you are scolding her!”
“I won’t accept this!”
“She needs to apologize to me!”
“Tell her to come out! She falsely accused me—she has to apologize!”
Su Zhenxing struggled to dodge Su Chen’s increasingly violent thrashing, his face growing darker and darker.
He couldn’t stand this anymore.
Fine. Let Su Qiqi apologize!
If that was what it took to make this lunatic stop, so be it!
Besides, he himself had also accused Su Chen without evidence.
What if Su Chen turned his wrath on him next? What if he grabbed him and shook him the way he had shaken Su Qiqi?
A shiver ran down Su Zhenxing’s spine.
He exchanged glances with Liu Yanran. Without words, she understood his meaning and nodded in agreement.
She had come to the same realization—she did not want to be on the receiving end of Su Chen’s madness.
Getting Su Qiqi to apologize was the simplest solution.
Trying to keep Su Chen under control, Su Zhenxing shouted, “Su Chen! Calm down, and I’ll make your sister apologize!”
He had to shout because, with Su Chen screaming like a maniac, anything less wouldn’t be heard.
The opportunity had arrived.
Su Chen stopped struggling and looked at him suspiciously.
“Really?!”
“If I stay still, you’ll make Su Qiqi apologize to me?”
Seeing hope, Su Zhenxing immediately nodded. “Yes, yes! As long as you stop this madness, I’ll make your sister apologize!”
Liu Yanran chimed in gently, trying to maintain her usual graceful persona. “That’s right, Su Chen. I promise, if you calm down, we’ll have Qiqi apologize.”
Her soothing voice contrasted hilariously with her disheveled hair.
Su Chen immediately stopped moving and stood firmly on the ground.
“Alright. I won’t move. Call Su Qiqi out to apologize.”
The Su family members were overjoyed—had it really been that easy to stop Su Chen’s rampage?
They wasted no time calling out to Su Qiqi.
But what they didn’t realize was that Su Chen had no intention of letting this end with a simple apology.
If an apology could solve everything, then what was the point of having police?
Today, Su Qiqi would have no choice but to wear the “thief” label herself.
Inside the bathroom, Su Qiqi was crying furiously. She felt utterly betrayed.
“No! I’m not coming out!” she yelled.
“I did nothing wrong! Why should I apologize to that worthless piece of trash?!”
“I won’t do it! I won’t come out!”
Su Zhenxing’s face turned even darker. They had finally calmed Su Chen down, yet now Su Qiqi was being difficult?
It was just an apology—two simple words. Was that so hard?
He shot Liu Yanran a look, signaling her to handle it.
Liu Yanran smiled faintly and walked to the bathroom door. In a calm, coaxing voice, she said, “Qiqi, you accused Su Chen without proof. It’s only fair that you apologize.”
Su Qiqi felt even more wronged.
Her father had betrayed her by siding with Su Chen, and now even her mother was telling her to apologize?!
Her sobs grew louder.
“I won’t apologize! I won’t!”
Liu Yanran’s smile remained unchanged. Then, in the sweetest tone, she delivered the cruelest blow:
“Qiqi, you’re not being a good girl.”
“And bad girls don’t get their allowance.”
Silence.
Then, the sound of Su Qiqi choking on her own sobs.
Though she was an adult and an aspiring painter, she still relied on the Su family for financial support. Every month, she received an allowance of 100,000 yuan.
Even Su Lili got the same amount, despite running her own business. Su Mu, still in school, received 50,000 yuan a month.
Only Su Chen got nothing.
Their parents had claimed it was because they feared he would waste money, having grown up poor in an orphanage.
Thinking about this, Su Chen found it laughable.
He was their biological son, yet they had always treated him differently.
In his past life, he had endured it.
Not this time.
No one had the right to mistreat him.
But first, he needed to make sure Su Qiqi was the one wearing the “thief” label by the end of today.
Su Chen stood there silently, listening to the conversation unfold. He was as still as if the man who had been thrashing around earlier wasn’t even him.
Inside the bathroom, Su Qiqi sobbed even harder.
Her mother had just played her trump card.
She knew how important that allowance was to her, yet she had used it as leverage to force an apology!
Fine! If that’s what they wanted, then she would apologize!
It was just words.
But Su Chen would pay for this.
He had humiliated her today.
She would make sure to set him up again in the future—and next time, she wouldn’t fail!
Her mind made up, Su Qiqi wiped away her tears, composed herself, and finally opened the bathroom door.
