A Rider Kick in Marvel Rewrite

Chapter 130: Chapter 40

Trapped in Yu's massive hand, Ace struggled to maintain his composure. The Mole Imagin, undeterred by Yu's towering presence, circled below like a predator, its malevolent gaze fixated on its prey.

Yu, in her giant form, was determined to protect Ace, regardless of the Imagin's baffling fixation on him.

"Don't worry, Ace. I won't let it hurt you," she reassured him, her voice booming. She crouched slightly, positioning herself between Ace and the Imagin, creating a formidable barrier.

The Mole Imagin, however, was not easily deterred. With a snarl, it slammed its metallic claws into the ground, burrowing beneath the street with astonishing speed. The ground trembled as it tunneled, creating a network of unseen pathways beneath Yu's enormous feet.

"Where did it go?" Yu muttered, her eyes darting around, trying to anticipate the Imagin's next move. She was at a disadvantage. Her Gigantification Quirk made her a powerful force, but it also limited her mobility and responsiveness. The Mole Imagin's speed and subterranean abilities were a dangerous counter.

Inside Yu's hand, Ace was in turmoil.

"Urataros, do something! We can't just sit here and wait to get ambushed!" he pleaded mentally.

"I'm trying to think, Ace!" Urataros retorted, equally frustrated. "But it's hard to strategize when we're being cradled like a baby!"

The situation was dire. They had to find a way to transform, to protect Yu and prevent the Imagin from wreaking further havoc. But how could they do it without revealing their secret?

Suddenly, the ground beneath Yu erupted, sending chunks of asphalt flying. The Mole Imagin burst forth, its claws aimed directly at Yu's leg.

"LOOK OUT!" Urataros yelled, but it was too late.

The Imagin's claws struck Yu's leg, tearing through her skin. A searing pain shot through her, causing her to stagger. The force of the blow was enough to disrupt her Gigantification Quirk, and she began to shrink rapidly, releasing Ace from her grasp.

"Ugh!" Yu groaned, clutching her injured leg. The sudden change in size left her disoriented and vulnerable.

Ace landed awkwardly on the ground, his heart pounding. Yu was hurt, and the Imagin was still on the loose. He had no choice. He had to act.

"Urataros, we don't have a choice. We have to transform," Ace said, his voice firm. "I don't care if she sees us. We can't let her get hurt."

"I know, I know," Urataros replied, his tone serious. "But once we do this, there's no going back."

Taking a deep breath, Ace reached for the Den-O Belt concealed beneath his jacket. He had hesitated for so long, afraid of the consequences of revealing his identity. But now, those concerns were secondary. Yu's safety was paramount.

With a swift motion, he fastened the belt around his waist. Then, he pressed the blue button.

[Rod Form Jingle]

[ROD FORM!]

"Henshin!" Urataros shouted, swiping the Rider Pass across the SetTouch.

[SFX: Electricity crackles as the transformation begins.]

A surge of blue energy enveloped Ace, his body contorting as the Den-O armor materialized around him. The transformation was swift and violent, a stark contrast to the gentle, unassuming Ace that Yu knew. In a matter of seconds, he stood before her as Kamen Rider Den-O Rod Form, the blue lenses of his helmet gleaming in the dim light.

Yu stared in disbelief, her mind struggling to process what she was seeing. The young man she had come to care for, the kind and gentle Ace, was now a armored warrior. The revelation was shocking, almost incomprehensible.

"Ace… your…"

But there was no time to dwell on the impossible. The Mole Imagin, seeing its opportunity, lunged at Yu, its claws poised to strike.

"Yu! Look out!" Urataros shouted, his voice distorted by the Den-O helmet.

He dashed forward, intercepting the Imagin's attack with the DenGasher Rod. The force of the impact sent sparks flying. The weapon made contact with the Imagin's claws.

The fight was on.

Metal clangs against metal as the DenGasher Rod met the Mole Imagin's attack.

Urataros flipped back, creating distance. "Now, now, that's not a very nice way to greet a fellow monster hunter, is it?" he quipped, twirling the DenGasher Rod. The polished steel of the weapon glinted, reflecting the neon lights of the city.

The Mole Imagin roared, its frustration evident. It slammed its claws into the ground, creating a series of fissures that snaked towards Urataros. The hero, agile and quick, leaped over the cracks, avoiding the earth spikes that erupted from the fissures. He landed gracefully, the Rod held at the ready.

"Mind if I reel you in?" Urataros taunted, adopting a fighting stance. He moved with fluid grace, each step calculated, each motion precise. The Mole Imagin charged, its claws tearing through the air, but Urataros danced around the attacks, his movements like water flowing around rocks.

He struck, the DenGasher Rod blurring as it connected with the Imagin's armored hide. Sparks flew, and a metallic screech echoed through the street. The Imagin staggered, its momentum broken. Urataros pressed his advantage, unleashing a flurry of blows. The DenGasher Rod became a whirlwind of steel, each strike aimed at the Imagin's weak points.

The Mole Imagin, despite its size and strength, struggled to keep up with Urataros's speed and precision. It swung wildly, desperately trying to land a hit, but Urataros dodged and weaved, his movements unpredictable and disorienting.

With a final, decisive strike, Urataros slammed the DenGasher Rod into the Imagin's legs, sending it sprawling to the ground. The Mole Imagin crashed into the asphalt, creating a crater.

A loud THUD as the Imagin hits the ground.

"Looks like I caught a big one!" Urataros declared, striking a pose, the DenGasher Rod held aloft.

Just then, a familiar voice echoed through the street.

"Mt. Lady! Are you alright?"

A figure emerged from the crowd, his features obscured by the shadows. It was Puncture, his expression a mask of concern.

"Puncture? What are you doing here?" Yu asked, her voice laced with suspicion.

Puncture ignored her question, his gaze fixated on Kamen Rider Den-O. A strange glint flickered in his eyes, his concern turning into something sinister.

"You!" Puncture shouted, pointing a trembling finger at Urataros. "You're that vigilante! You're the one causing all this trouble!"

Without warning, Puncture lunged forward, his hand outstretched, aiming a blow directly at Kamen Rider Den-O.

Urataros, caught off guard, barely managed to block Puncture's attack. The force of the blow sent him stumbling backward.

"What the—?" Urataros exclaimed, his mind reeling. Why was Puncture attacking him?

"You're the villain here!" Puncture screamed, his voice laced with manic energy. "You're the one who's been hurting Mt. Lady!"

"Hey now, hold on a second! I don't want to hurt you!" Urataros said, putting up his hands in a defensive gesture. This was a Pro Hero, after all. He wasn't looking for a fight with someone who was supposed to be on the side of justice.

"You've got it all wrong! That thing —" Urataros gestured to the downed Mole Imagin — "it's the real villain! It's been manipulating people, causing chaos!"

Puncture didn't listen, his eyes filled with a crazed determination. "Lies! You're trying to confuse me! I know the truth! You're nothing but a menace! Mt. Lady needs to be saved from the likes of you!" He launched another attack, his movements clumsy but fueled by his burning obsession.

Urataros dodged, weaving around Puncture's strikes, trying to avoid retaliating. He couldn't bring himself to harm a Pro Hero, even one who was clearly misguided.

"I said, I don't want to fight you!" Urataros warned, his voice growing sterner. "Stand down and let me explain!"

Puncture ignored him, throwing another punch. With a sigh, Urataros was forced to act. He grabbed Puncture's arm, spun him around, and delivered a swift kick to his chest. Puncture flew back, crashing into a pile of rubble. The air left his lungs as he gasped for air.

"Ugh..." Puncture groaned, clutching his chest. He stared up at the sky. "I… I was so close…"

Suddenly, a dark vortex enveloped Puncture. His body shuddered violently as sand began to pour from his pores. His limbs began to twist and contort.

"W-what's happening?" Puncture stammered, his voice filled with panic. "What are you doing?"

The sand pulsed, hardening and reshaping, until it completely encased Puncture's body. The transformation was grotesque, a violation of his very being. When the sand finally dissipated, Puncture was gone. In his place stood a hulking figure that was a grotesque fusion of man and Imagin. The figure had the Mole's distinctive claws and snout, but also Puncture's slender frame and terrified eyes.

"I had to do this," the Mole-Puncture hybrid growled, his voice a distorted echo of Puncture's own. "You were too weak, too pathetic! We couldn't win with you in control."

"What have you done?!" Puncture's voice cried from within the grotesque form. "Let me go! This isn't what I wanted!"

"Silence!" the Mole Imagin roared, his voice drowning out Puncture's pleas. "I am in control now. And I will have my victory!"

The Mole-Puncture hybrid flexed his new claws, reveling in his newfound power. "With your Quirk and my strength, we will finally eliminate this pest and prove ourselves to Mt. Lady!"

Urataros watched in horror as the transformation completed, his mind racing. Something was terribly wrong. He knew that Imagin possessed people, but this was different. It was like the Imagin had ripped apart Puncture's personality.

"Wait a minute," Urataros muttered, his eyes widening. "That's it! That Pro Hero... he was the contractor all along!"

That was the only explanation that made sense. That was why the Mole Imagin was able to take over Puncture so easily. The Imagin must have been subtly influencing the Pro Hero, manipulating him into creating situations where he could "save" Mt. Lady. It had all been a carefully orchestrated plan. Now, Urataros faced an opponent far more dangerous than he could have imagined. He would be battling a Pro Hero consumed by an Imagin's power.
