Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 4: Success

Atlas had spent almost seven hours making the potion. He had changed the settings of the water he put in the pot, the order in which he placed the flowers or the extract, and many other things. He had succeeded in the end, but he knew very clearly that he had not made something of the quality he had expected, which was too bad for him.

He would only be able to drink this potion four times. Due to the content of the potion, the body literally expelled the potion after further use, so it would not be possible to get any additional effect in any way.

If this potion was drunk by someone who was not yet considered a sorcerer, the potential of that person could increase to a gigantic level. Atlas didn't want to miss this chance.

That's why he wanted to try his luck for the last time today.

He cleaned the pot again and changed the amount of water he put in the pot. A full litre of water was in the pot.

This time, he did not wait for the water to boil as before, and directly threw the Sun Grass into the pot. The colour of the water changed and the whole kitchen started to smell really incredible.

It was like an aphrodisiac, such a sweet and friendly smell.

Even a single scent seemed to begin to build up a layer of mana in his body, and he hadn't even tried to make and drink the potion. The potency of the potion seemed to be much more than he had expected.

He felt stupid for drinking this potion so late in his previous life. Although it was not something he could say that he knew about such a potion when he was young.

Immediately after this, he picked up Fire Daisy and separated the stem and leaves of the flower. He threw the petals one by one into the pot and then put the lid on the pot. This was his eighth attempt, and by the time morning approached, the potion would be complete.

When the first boiling process was over, Atlas opened the lid of the pot and at that moment his whole body trembled, and his heartbeat began to accelerate.

He could feel the rate of mana in his body officially increase.

"I'm on the right track," Atlas muttered to himself and without stopping, he picked up the petals of the Moonlight flower. He was lost in thought, not knowing how many petals to use and wanting to get to the potion as fast as possible.

Moonlight Flower was indeed a highly poisonous plant. Even if touching the flower did not damage the skin, ingesting this flower would damage every organ in the body and then kill that person or animal, unless it was treated from that moment on.

However, Moonlight Flower, like the other ingredients in the elixir formula, also released a huge amount of mana, which is why many animals in nature went to this plant.

Unlike Sun Grass and Fire Daisy, it could grow in any cold ecosystem.

However, a liquid called Luquid Mana Extract, made from the magical stones of poisonous monsters, countered Moonlight Flower's poison, and then the poisons disappeared.

Partially, the poisons became antidotes for each other.

In this case, an elixir was formed. This had to be the way.

A litre of water and Sun Grass, which absorbed some of the water, and Fire Daisy, which heated the water to a very high temperature.

"So I made a mistake here...The water should have evaporated and decreased anyway...A leaf will be enough," Atlas told himself.

In Alchemy, everything was based on certain decisions instead of imagination, it was considered one of the highest points of science.

In short, alchemy was not useful in these times, neither in ancient magic nor in modern magic times.

After all, alchemy was used in the construction of public transport vehicles and even street lamps, which was enough to explain how expensive the work was and how much determination it required.

Atlas had to resort to trial and error. The only things he knew for sure were the ingredients he had to use. The ratio of these materials and other things he had to find himself.

A moonlight flower petal could definitely help the existing boiling process, and a small amount of liquid Mana Extract could also be used to counteract it and complete the neutral process.

This had already been accomplished before, by changing the ratio, everything would be perfect.

Taking a deep breath and hoping that his last attempt today would be lucky, he threw the leaf into the pot immediately added the extract to the pot and closed the lid.

It had to remain on a low flame for some time.

After almost fifteen minutes, the wait was over. Atlas turned off the stove and took a deep breath before opening the lid of the pot.

With that, he lifted the lid and then felt the perfect flow of mana coming towards his face. He was immediately certain that the potion was complete, he had no choice but to test it himself to see if it was poisoned, but he was confident.

This was as perfect as potion could get, and there was indeed enough potion in the pot for 6 or 7 vials.

Atlas took a deep breath poured each of the potions into the vials and put 6 of the 7 vials he had prepared into his magic bag.

He had one potion bottle in his hand.

He had managed to make perhaps one of the most perfect potions in the history of the world in a pot instead of an alchemy cauldron.

With that, he tidied up the kitchen and then went to his own room.

After almost ten hours in the kitchen, he sat down on his bed and, holding the bottle gently, he instantly poured it over his head.

After only thirty seconds of awkward waiting and the possibility of thinking that the potion had failed, his body suddenly began to tremble.

His heart was pounding an incredibly fast heartbeat.

Immediately he sat down on the floor and got into a meditation position. He closed his eyes and began to feel the mana swirling around his whole body, especially around his heart.

What he needed to do was to meditate to keep himself calm and to absorb the charged mana in his body, missing even a little bit of this mana would be a great disappointment for him.

Of course, he didn't want that.
