Chapter 384: Relaying the Truth
With Yang Chunhua missing, Bai Meiyue had to create a water wall to stop the zombies. However, even though she was blocking the ends of the corridor, there were still some spots that were left, which allowed the zombies to sneak past these walls.
They rushed towards Bai Meiyue and her team when they sensed humans concentrating in one spot. Sensing the zombies coming close, Mo He charged at them. His level had risen to level three, and he could now use his skills to cut down the heads of the zombies without even getting close to them.
Thus, it didn't take long for the zombies that had snuck past the blind spots to be cleaned up.
Once the zombies were cleared up, Shen Zhen shouted, "First, collect the supplies in the emergency room."
As soon as she finished speaking, one of the nurses rushed inside and started grabbing everything that she could find. From disinfectants, cotton swabs, various sutures and many more things.
"Let's move, move, move," said Shen Zhen as she asked the rest of the team to move to the pharmacy, where they collected everything that they could find. From Western medicines to Chinese medicines, they collected everything in their bags without leaving anything behind.
"Miss Yueyue, I don't think this will work," Zhou Hongbei paused and said to Bai Meiyue. "We still have to collect the supplies on the third and fourth floors, and there is also the warehouse. How will we collect so many supplies in just a day? I am afraid that we will have to stay for more than two days."
Bai Meiyue pursed her lips when she heard his words. She had to admit that what the man said was indeed the truth. With a small sigh, she said to him, "You go and tell the rest to collect the supplies that they have piled up in the reception in the truck. Leave everything else to me."
"What are you going to do?" Shen Zhen asked. She returned after collecting the bandages, surgical equipment and a few more things. When she heard Bai Meiyue's words, she immediately walked over and remarked, "How can you take care of so many supplies on your own?"
She was worried that with her condition, Bai Meiyue would push herself too much.
'It seems like there is no other choice but to come clean,' thought Bai Meiyue. She looked around the corridor, and when she saw that there was no one, she flicked her arm and collected the supplies that Zhou Hongbei and Shen Zhen were carrying in her space.
Upon seeing the supplies vanishing, Shen Zhen was surprised, while Zhou Hongbei seemed to have been struck by a thunderclap. He stared at Bai Meiyue and then looked at his empty hands.
"How—how…"
"Then we will leave this matter to you," Shen Zhen interrupted Zhou Hongbei when she heard the sound of someone coming downstairs. She glanced at the man warningly and said to Bai Meiyue, "We will collect the supplies on the second floor and then leave the rest for some time later."
Though Shen Zhen was also just as shocked as Zhou Hongbei, she was also quick in thinking everything through. Bai Meiyue was already the target of many just because she had awakened as a water ability user. If someone found out that she had awakened a second ability, one that could be so useful, it would be really problematic.
Zhou Hongbei also cottoned on and nodded like a hen pecking rice. He turned to look at Bai Meiyue and said to her, "Right, you take care of things down here. We will try to collect as many supplies as possible."
When Bai Meiyue heard their responses, her heart couldn't help but feel touched. She had to admit that she was not wrong in trusting Shen Zhen and Zhou Hongbei.
"Alright," Bai Meiyue nodded, and together with her elder brother, she attacked the zombies on the third and fourth floors. It didn't take long for them to collect the supplies, including the big ones, in their space pockets.
After clearing the two floors, they moved to the warehouse where they handled all the medical supplies. From IV bottles to medicines to extra equipment and machines that Bai Meiyue had no idea what they did —everything was collected in the space pocket.
"Is everything done?" Though Bai Zhan had collected a lot of things in the space pockets, he had to admit that every time he used them, his understanding of this thing would refresh. Who would have thought that this little thing could carry a warehouse worth of supplies?
It was really crazy!
Bai Meiyue nodded and said to her brother, "Let's go before anyone comes looking for us."
She was worried that Bai Jixuan or someone else would come looking for them. If they found them standing in an empty warehouse that was supposed to be full of supplies, what would they say to them?
Bai Zhan didn't refuse and followed her out of the empty warehouse. It wasn't that they didn't trust Bai Jixuan; it was just that their second brother was a bit too impulsive when it came to some things.
The last thing they wanted was for their ace cards to be known to everyone.
Just as they climbed down to the reception, they were preparing to deal with the zombies who had drifted over to the hospital's parking lot as they had sensed the presence of humans in the hospital, but before they could do that, they heard the roaring sound of an engine and turned to look at the entrance of the hospital.
A second later, a shiny car came flying inside. It crashed right against many zombies, causing them to be squashed under the weight of the car. The car came thudding down on the floor, and a second later, Bai Feng, who was driving the shiny car, stepped out of the car.
"Yueyue! We need your help!"
