Chapter 91: A Primordial Clone!?

A rarity happened as Nala spoke up:

"I've met this Lucidador before. His demeanor was different then as well, far unlike now. Even attaining the Echo of the Blade would not be enough to bring about such a drastic change to his personality."

"You don't think…??" Princess Maya's mind raced with realization.

Nala nodded while keeping her eyes on the massive golden blade phenomenon. "It's possible."

"…But possession… Secret Realms typically only have risks like that if it's a—" Maya paused dramatically. "Trap."

Nala didn't respond. But from how her brows knitted tighter together, it was obvious that she considered something like that to be the case as well.

Though, on the other hand, it was possible that they were just missing a piece of the puzzle—something that blurred the truth of the picture from them.

After a brief pause, Maya asked, "Can I count on you to cover me if Lucidador turns out to be what we suspect him to be? I have trump cards of my own—ones capable of fending off the attacks of even the most powerful Soul Formation Realm Cultivators, but they leave me in a very vulnerable state."

Nala didn't look the princess's way; she merely nodded. All her focus then returned to the ongoing battle, her emotions still heavily conflicted over her grudgeful matter with Knox Falazar.

"Now this is more like it!!" Knox crazily shouted, blood and teeth flying out of his mouth. "Come! Let's have a true battle of men!! And since you're showing off something like this, I can't very well not reciprocate the love, now can I!?"

RUMBLE!!

The world quaked beneath the might of an extremely powerful Martial Skill that originated from beyond the borders of Pandora. From beyond the Elemental Nations even.

|Supreme Devourer (Half-Saint)| - |1st Move: Devouring the Earth|!

The crimson-black visage of a giant snake head materialized above Knox's maniacally grinning figure. The snake head measured over 10,000 miles in width and length, towering over even the physical manifestation produced by the Echo of the Blade and the Essence of the Ancient Blade Demon.

"Talk as you may, but dodging this is impossible!" Cassius declared as the snake head opened its maw wide, releasing a mind-bogglingly loud roar. "But no, I'm not done yet!"

ZAP! ZAP!

|2nd Requiem: 2nd Phase - Earthly Lightning|

ZAP! ZAP!! ZAP!!!

Full Might of the Middle Core Formation Realm with a Mid-Saint Ranked Foundation!

Looking up and seeing the skies engulfed by a massive snake head surrounded by terrifying green and brown lightning, Lucidador remained expressionless. He simply let down his hand, the giant golden sword enlarging by dozens of times its original size.

"I already told you that no matter what you do, it's all pointless," he stated. "You're far too young—far too inexperienced—and far too… weak."

"Well, that may be true," Knox laughed. "But if I don't at least give it my all before I go down, where's the fun in that?? Haha!"

"...."

"…Very well," were the last words to leave Lucidador's mouth before the world was blinded by gold.

"ROOOAAARGGHHH!!!"

The first move of the Half-Saint Rank Serpent Devourer's Technique collided with the colossal falling sword, creating an explosion of light that left many disoriented. Even those like Nala, Maya, and the twins were no exception, for the collision of two devastatingly powerful attacks was far too immense.

After the settling of the dispersed energies…

"Kuk!" Coughing up large amounts of blood, Knox keeled over, his clothes tattered and his body in shambles.

"!!!" "!!!"

"Darling!!" Cela called out while embroiled in her own dangerous fight, giving Lenon the perfect opportunity to viciously strike at her.

BOOOM!!

She was sent flying, worry mixing with the pain stinging at her sides.

"Tut!" Lenon spat as he descended to the mountain that Cela destroyed. "That's what you get, you dirty b*tch. Now, do you have any last words before I kill you and convert your corpse into a sex-puppet??"

With shaky vision and damaged internal organs, Cela glared at the young man hovering over her. "Cough! G… Go to hell, you BASTARD!"

"So be it then," Lenon scowled before summoning dozens of light blue Intent Swords, each radiating lethal doses of Innate Energy. "Die."

Cela closed her eyes, fully prepared for the end to come. Regret over not being able to spend the rest of eternity together with her love made a deep hole in her heart, but soon it would be over.

'Darling…'

However, just as piercing Sword Light blocked out her vision—with death's approach imminent—an all-too-familiar figure appeared in front of her. A casual hand swipe from the figure not only erased all of Lenon's Intent Swords, but also sent out a palm-shaped attack that crashed into Lenon.

"Wha—!?" He screamed out. The palm attack, however, quickly shut him up as it blasted him through hundreds of valleys.

"!!!" "!!!" "!!!"

Surprise and astonishment immediately flooded the expressions of all the spectators—including the cold-faced Yennefer, who was about to make a move to help Cela.

"I guess he had it all handled from the very beginning," Yennefer said with a resigned sigh, forcefully dispersing the Fire and Ice Wheel forming behind her. "My help was never necessary."

This was right around when the Ancient Blade Demon disguised as Lucidador noticed that something was up. He shot his gaze back toward the beaten and battered Knox, only to see that the man who was supposed to be on death's door was looking at him with a broad, cunning smirk.

"You…"

"Have you finally figured it out?" Knox inquired as his figure repeatedly switched between a state of being translucent and being visible. He seemed to be connecting with an identical version of himself—one huge source of power and an even larger source of power becoming one. "What you had been fighting was nothing but—"

"My Primordial Clone!!"

"!!!" "!!!" "!!!"

"But to possess that much power with a mere clone, just… just what sort of freak are you?"

For the first time since their encounter, something other than indifference painted itself across Lucidador's face. He appeared genuinely bewildered—utterly overwhelmed with shock.
