Chapter 92: 1% Of My Full Strength
Cracking his neck, Knox felt himself becoming whole again. "Good, now we can fight for real. Right, little blade demon buddy??"
An even greater amount of shock was experienced by Lucidador, making his aura flare a bit out of his control. "How… How could you possibly know about that!?" he hastily shouted, his emotions teetering on the edge of going berserk. "Wait!! That Technique! The Supreme Devourer and the Dragon Lord's Heavenly Requiem!! Are you somehow related to that old bastard!? The Unorthodox Devilstar!?? The one who planned to imprison me here forever!??"
"Ho?" Knox mused, rubbing his chin in nonchalant thought. "So that's what the question marks in your description were hiding from me. How intriguing. An imprisoned Ancient Sword Demon, huh?"
Lucidador became even more confused. "So that means you're not related to that old bastard!?"
"Nah, but I can give him a message after I kill you," Knox chuckled, Intent Swords numbering in the tens of thousands forming all around him. "Why don't we make that happen sooner? I'm a busy man, you see; got places to be, alcohol to consume."
Lucidador seethed, his previous indifference nowhere to be seen. Now, he was both confused and angered. Yet, he was not angry for the reasons one might think—no, he was mad because of his confusion.
Very old and powerful beings like the Ancient Blade Demon didn't like being out of the loop on something. Unintelligence was not something they'd ever accept. And for a meager human of the Core Formation Realm to play him for a fool, well, that was simply…
"Unacceptable!"
WAAA!
Knox's smile widened so much that, in the dilated pupils of Lucidador, it almost seemed like he was being taunted.
"COURTING DEATH!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Lucidador blasted forward, achieving speeds that exceeded common sense. He moved so fast that even the produced sonic booms faded into oblivion before getting the chance to register.
"Hm?" Knox, however, saw every minute movement made by the wrathful golden-robed man. "It seems that you still believe that I'm the same person that I was when it was just my Primordial Soul Clone fighting. Which, honestly speaking, is quite stupid for someone like you. After all, you should know that even those most proficient with the Soul can only get their Primordial Soul Clones to 10% of their Main Body's strength."
"I, on the other hand," Knox continued, raising a hand, "am not even of the Golden Core Realm, let alone the Soul Formation Realm. So how on earth could I possibly have a Primordial Soul? No, what I made use of was a neat Heaven-rank Martial Skill that I picked up from one of my Treasure Chests."
'The Treasure Troves had something like that??' Princess Maya asked herself. 'Although I've already broken through the Soul Formation Realm, having something like that when my cultivation was lesser would've been extremely useful.'
But—
There was a major downside to the Martial Skill.
"The Heaven-rank Martial Skill Primordial Duplicate has the potential to perfectly replicate my powers and create an exact copy of myself," Knox finished where he left off. His raised hand not only gathered his Innate Energy and Inner Array Energy but also a massive amount of raw Attribute power. "But to reach a point where your Artificial Primordial Clone can replicate your full power, you have to achieve the Soul Formation Realm. I myself am only of the Core Formation Realm, so instead of 100%, my Artificial Clone is only capable of utilizing—"
SHING!
"1% of my full strength."
"What!?" Lucidador roared in unwillingness as an impossibly powerful arc of Sword Intent shattered all of his defenses in an instant. "How could a Core Formation Realm brat possibly be so strong!? Even if you had access to genuine Saint-rank Techniques, you still wouldn't be able to exhibit such strength!!"
"You wish to know?" Knox playfully asked as he watched his full-powered crimson Sword Arc deplete the last of the Ancient Blade Demon's life-preserving measures.
"YES!!! TELL ME!!! AHHHHH!!!"
"Fine then," Knox continued, blurring forward at an utterly ridiculous speed. "I owe it to a dead man to fulfill his final wish. But to get the answer you desire, I'm afraid—"
SPLAT!
"You'll have to ask King Yama in Hell!!"
"NOOOooo..."
The Ancient Blade Demon was completely vanquished!
Lucidador's remaining soul fragments detached from the unshakeable hold that the Demon had on them. However, considering that the Soul Sliver that entered the Secret Realm had been totally erased along with the Ancient Blade Demon's existence, Lucidador could no longer participate in the Trials.
One of the most formidable competitors—gone, just like that.
The expressions of Nala, Princess Maya, and the two Softshore Duke Twins drastically changed. Never had they witnessed such a display of strength among a member of the younger generation, and never in their wildest dreams would they have expected events to unfold the way they did.
"The destruction to the area," Luna said in awe. "Tens of thousands of miles of land—gone," Solaris said with an equal amount of awe.
Nala's brows furrowed in immense displeasure.
Princess Maya, meanwhile, felt extremely conflicted. As a princess of a kingdom, she should be wary about the birth of such a supreme genius. However, another side of her felt like there were untold benefits to be had were she to befriend a person who obviously possessed an enormous amount of Providence.
"What to do…" she mumbled to herself, her crystalline eyes glued to Knox's valiant figure.
The valiant figure in question:
"Hehe, Loot! So much delicious Loot! Biggest haul yet! Even more than what I got from slaughtering tens of millions of cultivators! Quality over quantity, baby!!!"
*Ding!*
[You have slain an Early Soul Formation Realm Cultivator possessed by a Soul Transformation Realm Ancient Blade Demon!]
[A small-sized pile of Attribute Orbs has dropped!]
[Strength +856,000,000]
[Agility +723,000,000]
[Affinity +1,100,000]
[Energy +990,000,000]
x12 more…
Not only was Knox able to obtain billions' worth of regular Attribute Points, but he also acquired over a million points' worth of Affinity—an astronomical amount that put him one step closer to the Mid-Saint Rank Cultivation Talent.
