Chapter 34: Chapter 34
"I have to leave, but I'll try to return home as quickly as possible," Kyungmi said, standing at the doorway of the house, her fingers gripping the handle as she looked back at Taehyung and Jimin.
Taehyung nodded, a soft smile on his face. "Let's have dinner together when you get back," he replied warmly, his voice carrying the hope of a peaceful evening.
Kyungmi's eyes softened at the thought of spending time together. She hesitated for a moment, glancing at Taehyung, before taking a step towards him. "I'll be back soon," she said, her voice tinged with affection.
Taehyung walked toward her, his gaze never leaving hers. "I'll be waiting," he said, his voice low and tender.
As she reached the door, she paused once again, a quiet silence between them, but the unspoken connection filled the space. Without another word, Kyungmi stepped forward, closing the gap between them. Her heart raced as she stood on her toes, her hand gently cupping his face. Taehyung's breath caught for a moment, but before he could say anything, Kyungmi pressed her lips softly against his.
It was a brief kiss, but the warmth and tenderness behind it lingered in the air. Taehyung's hand moved to the back of her head, deepening the kiss just slightly, as if trying to convey everything he felt in that single moment. Kyungmi responded, her heart racing, her lips moving with his in perfect rhythm.
When they finally pulled away, both were breathless, a soft smile shared between them.
"I'll be back soon," she whispered again, her voice shaky with emotion, and with one last lingering look, she stepped out the door, leaving Taehyung standing in the doorway, a quiet smile still on his lips as he watched her go.
Taehyung closed the door softly and turned back to the dinning table. Jimin now stopped eating, he now stood near the fish tank, the new object that gained his attention today. His eyes followed the movements of the small, colorful fish as they swam gracefully through the water.
The vibrant reds, blues, and yellows of the fish caught his attention, and for the first time in a long while, a small smile appeared on Jimin's face. He leaned forward slightly, his eyes lighting up as he watched the fish dart around, their colors sparkling in the light.
The peaceful scene seemed to calm him, filling him with a sense of wonder that he hadn't felt in a while. For a moment, Jimin forgot about his worries, lost in the beauty of the fish swimming freely in the tank.
"Do you like it?" Taehyung asked, as he adjusted himself on the couch.
Ruffling the back of his head, Jimin nodded shyly in agreement. He knew it was childish, but Jimin still wanted to live each moment, he missed since years.
Taehyung slightly felt at ease, as Jimin not just expressed his agreement to talk, but he now began to get normal. Taehyung decided to use imported medicine for his epilepsy, that was only available online shops, due to the high cost.
Taehyung believed things could be different, if Dr. Lee would provide this medicine to Jimin, but it wasn't too late. Gratefully, Jimin's epilepsy episodes were now under control, but it didn't mean they couldn't return, Jimin still needed so many precautions, one them was to make him live stress free.
"Shall we talk about it whatever you have in your mind?" Taehyung asked politely.
Jimin paused now, he looked at Taehyung nervously, then he made his way to the couch and sat in front of Taehyung's. "I... I'm ready." He said.
Taehyung cleared his throat, "So I won't ask you any questions, you can tell me whatever you want." He said in a comforting tone, he grabbed his notepad and pen, ready to note down everything.
Jimin took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling slowly, as if he was trying to gather the strength to speak. His eyes darted to the floor, his fingers nervously tapping against his legs. "I don't know where to start," he said softly, his voice almost trembling. He paused, his hands stilling for a moment before continuing. "It feels like I have so much to say, but I can't find the right words to explain it all."
Taehyung watched him carefully, his expression calm but focused. He leaned forward slightly, his voice steady and encouraging. "Then let me help," he said gently. "I'll ask you a question to start."
Jimin hesitated, glancing up briefly before nodding. "Okay," he replied, his tone uncertain but willing, as though he was bracing himself for whatever would come next.
