Cheat Million Love

Chapter 22: Ch.22 : The Tenth Girlfriend and the Swimmer

That night, Mika was having dinner at home. She chomped down her food aggressively, her face red, clearly uneasy. In her mind, Nic's face kept flashing over and over.

Her mother, noticing Mika's strange behavior, gave a teasing smile. "Mika, why's your face so red? Thinking about a boy, huh?"

Mika, unwilling to lose the verbal fight, replied loudly, "No, nothing like that!" while still chewing fiercely.

But her mother wasn't letting go. "Come on, don't lie. I know that look. You've fallen for someone, haven't you?"

Mika's father chimed in with a chuckle, "That's unusual. Normally, Mika couldn't care less about boys. Who's this guy who managed to make our daughter all flustered?"

Cornered, Mika slammed her hand on the table. "Fine! Yes, I like a boy!" she blurted out.

Her mother's eyes widened in surprise, though she was clearly intrigued. "Who is it? Come on, tell us!"

With a hint of reluctance, Mika began explaining. "He beat me in a food competition, but only by a tiny margin. Then he treated me to a ridiculous amount of food for a rematch. And yeah... I lost again."

Her mother gasped. "You lost? Mika actually lost? To a schoolboy? This is history!"

Her dad raised an eyebrow. "Wait, wait. He paid for that much food? With his own money? He must be rich, right?"

Mika just shrugged. "Don't care about that. I'm meeting him tomorrow to say something."

Her mom teased again. "Wow, my daughter's making bold moves now. But be careful! What if he's a playboy? You might just be one of many."

Mika huffed. "Whatever. I'm going to bed." And with that, she stormed off to her room.

---

The next day, as usual, Nic was hanging out at his clubroom with his nine girlfriends. They were studying together when a knock came at the door.

Violet nudged Nic. "Looks like it's time."

Yui nodded. "Yep, definitely her."

The others looked confused. Fanny stood up and opened the door. There stood Mika, casually munching on a burger like always. She stepped in and scanned the room.

After taking a moment to assess the atmosphere, Mika declared, "My mom was right... he really is a playboy."

Vivi stood up from her seat and gave a relaxed smile.

"That's just how Nic is. I'm his first girlfriend, and I've accepted it. As long as I stay his priority, that's enough."

Mika pointed at all of them. "Line up! From first girlfriend to the latest. I want names!"

Leona frowned. "Uh, who are you to boss us around like this?"

But Mika was insistent. "If you don't cooperate, I'll report this to my mom!" Her tone was so serious that the room went silent.

Jenny whispered to Nic, "Is she... a kid?"

Nic just shrugged with a mischievous smile. Eventually, everyone lined up and introduced themselves:

1. Vivi

2. Nia

3. Leona

4. Yui

5. Violet

6. Jenny

7. Fanny

8. Olivia

9. Lily

After everyone introduced themselves, Mika finished her burger with one big bite and said,

"I'm Mika. I don't like this, and it shouldn't even be allowed... but I don't know what else to do. It sounds kind of fun, so I'm officially Nic's tenth girlfriend."

Nic immediately broke into wild applause like a madman. All the girls looked at him with confused expressions.

Grinning, Nic said, "Now that we have ten members, I'm going to name this club!"

But before he could say more, everyone started throwing out name suggestions:

"Club All for One!" (Vivi)

"Club One for All!" (Nia)

"Club Fantasy!" (Lily)

"Club Theater!" (Yui)

"Club Nic Family!" (Leona)

"Club Food!" (Mika)

"Club Battle!" (Fanny)

"Slap Fight Club!" (Jenny)

"Beauty Club!" (Olivia)

"Goth Club!" (Violet)

Crossing his arms, Nic shook his head. "Hmmm... none of these feel right."

He finally said, "I'll step out for a bit. You all try to think of a name that truly represents what we are now!"

Nic walked out of the room and opened his system phone, checking a new message—he had officially reached ten girlfriends.

As he walked down the hallway, he accidentally bumped into a girl with long blue hair. She was only wearing a towel, which barely covered her swimsuit underneath.

"Sorry, I was in a hurry," she said, trying to adjust the towel.

Nic, intrigued, stopped. "Why are you only wearing that? What happened?"

She sighed. "Looks like someone played a prank. My school uniform was taken."

She continued walking up the stairs to the third floor. Curious, Nic followed—third floor was for senior classes, meaning she was an upperclassman.

When they reached the wide-open third floor, Nic watched as the girl, whose name was Raina, tried to enter the pool area. But three other girls blocked her path.

"You can't go in," one of them said. "Our captain is taking her evaluation. She needs all the attention."

"I want to take the test too! I want to join the swim team," Raina replied firmly.

One of the girls pushed her roughly. "You don't need to. You're just in the way!"

Despite her determination, Raina was slapped hard, falling to the ground. Nic, hidden behind the wall, silently snapped photos of everything.

Just then, a male student walked out from the pool doors. He seemed to be part of the girls' group.

"What's all the noise?" he asked.

Raina looked relieved, thinking he might help. But that hope shattered when he stepped forward to block her.

"Just leave. If you scream or resist, I won't hesitate to use force," he growled, his face inches from hers.

As Raina was about to give up, Nic suddenly appeared, completely relaxed. "So this is the third-floor pool, huh? Mind if I swim?"

Without warning, the guy punched Nic. He staggered back, holding his cheek. "Ugh... what the hell?"

"An eleventh grader? You don't belong here," one of the girls scoffed.

But Nic didn't back down. He walked right up to the guy again. As the guy swung a second time, Nic dodged effortlessly and countered with a swift kick to the stomach, launching the guy backward.

Wasting no time, Nic grabbed Raina's hand and pulled her into the pool area. Raina, caught off guard, lost grip on her towel—leaving her in only her swimsuit.

Everyone inside the pool turned to stare in shock.

"How did he get in? Who is that guy?" asked a girl. It was Anna, the swim team captain, who clearly disliked Raina.

The guy Nic had kicked came back inside, shouting, "Coach! That eleventh grader caused a scene and tried to assault Raina!"

The coach and other students stared at Nic suspiciously. The guy kept provoking them. "Grab him! Don't let him escape!"

Nic ran. Sprinting along the edge of the pool, he dodged every attempt to catch him, even pretending to slip at times just to buy time.

"What is this? A swimming pool or a circus?" Nic chuckled, still running.

Eventually, several students cornered him against a wall. Nic raised his hands.

"Okay, okay, I give up," he said nonchalantly.

But before anyone could move, Raina's firm voice cut through the tension. "Stop! He didn't do anything wrong!"

Panting but serious, Raina explained everything. She pointed out that the guy had hit Nic first and urged them to check Nic's bruised cheek.

The coach, after hearing her explanation, decided to bring both Nic and the guy to the principal's office to settle things properly.

---

Meanwhile, Raina finally began her swim trial. She swam with such speed and grace that everyone around the pool was left speechless.

The coach, impressed, immediately added her to the girls' swim team.

But Anna wasn't happy. She felt threatened by Raina's skills. As Raina walked out of the pool, Anna splashed water at her on purpose.

Raina simply paused, gave Anna a calm smile, and walked away without a word.
