Green Arrow, his expression icy, swapped his standard arrowheads for freezing arrows, his eyes sharp and resolute.

He could have used net arrows, but with Hawkeye and Black Widow current states, capturing them with nets would require constant surveillance—a waste of manpower.

It was more efficient to incapacitate them outright and leave them to fend for themselves.

Of course, given their resilience, this wouldn't kill them at most, it would leave them requiring prolonged recovery.

Though Loki had control of their minds, their intelligence remained intact.

As the freezing energy enveloped them, their expressions changed slightly.

Moments later, the turtles moved in.

Leonardo swung his twin blades with fluid precision, severing the arm Hawkeye used to hold his bow.

Raphael, wielding his sharp steel sai, pierced Black Widow thigh.

Michelangelo used his nunchaku to lock around Black Widow neck, while Donatello swung his staff, swiftly breaking both of her legs.

"Argh! Too hot!" Michelangelo cried out as intense heat radiated from Black Widow body.

His nunchaku began to melt, and he felt like he was being turned into turtle soup. Staring at Venom, whose arms had morphed into massive scythe-like blades, he shouted urgently, "Hurry up!"

"On it!"

Venom scythe-like arms were razor-sharp. With a sweeping slash, he severed both of Black Widow legs.

He spun his body around, timing his next attack perfectly with Leonardo strike, slicing off Hawkeye other arm.

In mere moments, Black Widow and Hawkeye had been utterly disabled—one rendered legless, the other armless.

Green Arrow finally used a net arrow, casting a durable net over the two incapacitated heroes.

Their injuries left them unable to resist or escape, essentially neutralized.

Thanks to the Extremis virus they had been injected with, their limbs would eventually regenerate, meaning they wouldn't remain disabled forever.

However, the energy required for such regeneration would drain their bodies severely, rendering them combat-ineffective without proper nourishment. In short, they were no longer a threat.

"Now, forget them and focus on killing those aliens!" Green Arrow ordered.

"The battlefield must stay contained in Manhattan. We can't let them wreak havoc elsewhere."

"Understood!" Venom and the turtles nodded in agreement.

Green Arrow then turned his attention to Sandman and Demon Phil.

Phil, Daredevil, and Spider-Man were locked in combat with Sandman and Doctor Octopus.

Doctor Octopus was relatively easier to deal with the real problem was Sandman.

Sandman ability to elementalize his body made him virtually immune to physical attacks.

The only things that could harm him were Phil freeze ray and… the fire hydrants by the roadside.

Spider-Man smashed open a hydrant, sending a jet of water gushing into the air.

However, having fallen for this trick once before, Sandman remained vigilant.

He dodged away quickly, avoiding the water entirely. On his sand-formed face—

"Not so easy to take down!"

Spider-Man and Phil exchanged grim looks.

However, Sandman didn't notice the situation shifting on the battlefield. Green Arrow and the others had already dealt with Black Widow and Hawkeye.

A freezing arrow shot through the air and exploded mid-flight, unleashing a wave of icy energy that engulfed Sandman, freezing him solid.

Sandman had just been stabbed in the back by Green Arrow.

In this case, the "stab in the back" was quite literal—an ambush from behind.

Spider-Man, overjoyed, pressed his hand against the fire hydrant outlet, redirecting the spray to douse Sandman, whose half-frozen body was now encased in ice and water.

Sizzle!

Sandman collapsed on the spot.

It must be said, in battles against elemental villains faced by superheroes, the humble fire hydrant often serves as an unacknowledged MVP.

Especially in Spider-Man universe.

Whether facing Sandman or Electro, fire hydrants remain the ultimate game-changer.

With Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Sandman now incapacitated, the last of the initial Avengers lineup remaining on the field was Doctor Octopus.

Green Arrow, Spider-Man, Venom, and Daredevil turned their attention to Doctor Octopus, who had realized he was surrounded by the Justice League and instinctively froze in place.

Doctor Octopus was much easier to deal with!

All they needed to do was dismantle his mechanical arms.

Without his arms, Doctor Octopus was nothing more than a helpless civilian.

And soon enough, the mechanical arms were removed.

With the fight against Doctor Octopus quickly resolved, the team was free to focus on the sky, where Chitauri soldiers swarmed like locusts, and the beam of light emanating from the landing pad on Stark Tower rooftop.

Except for Green Arrow, the group couldn't help but show a hint of weariness.

Anton avatars could communicate telepathically and even share their perspectives.

Through the viewpoints of others, Green Arrow understood that while the situation was tense, it wasn't entirely hopeless.

The battlefield where the aliens were active remained contained within Manhattan, thanks to Batman strategic commands.

The special forces, Captain America, Thor, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Venom, and others were all working relentlessly to eliminate the aliens emerging from the portal.

Meanwhile, the NYPD was sweeping the city outskirts to hunt down isolated alien soldiers.

This was made possible because most civilians in the Manhattan area had been evacuated beforehand.

At least near Stark Tower, there wasn't a single civilian in sight.

At the start of the incident, Cyborg warnings had alerted many New Yorkers—especially those in Manhattan—to the severity of the crisis.

New Yorkers, having faced such scenarios multiple times, had developed remarkable evacuation instincts.

Some had even built underground bunkers at home, stocked with food and water, and over 300 DVDs—enough to watch one a day for a year.

As a result, while much of the city infrastructure was damaged in the battle, civilian casualties were reduced to an acceptable number.

Of course, regardless of the circumstances, the top priority remained closing the portal.

This task rested on Anton true self, embodied as Batman.
