Dc: The Brother of Superman

Chapter 80: What would you choose...

"The ritual had the objective of stripping away our darkest emotions, leaving only the good ones on us, but nobody asked where those emotions went..." (Arella)

Her words cleared all the misunderstandings this incident provoked, and when rage and hate left, only one emotion remained: sadness.

Sob

Sob

All the people started to mourn their home, the paradise that they didn't appreciate enough.

When the crying calmed a little, Isaac chose to speak, attracting their attention.

"There are two reasons as to why I summoned all of you here; the first one was to inform you that Azarath was lost..." (Isaac)

The people of Azarath calmed a little more now, paying more attention to the young man in front of them.

"The second one is to inform you of three possible replacements; after all, with Azarath gone, you all are homeless, so I can give you three options...." (Isaac)

He let his words sink in for a moment, then he continued.

"The first one is the easiest one; you all become part of my future school staff, which means living on this island permanently..." (Isaac)

Murmur*

Murmur*

"The second option is to integrate into human society once more. I will donate a substantial amount of money for your living conditions, but once that money is gone, it is up to you to continue..." (Isaac)

"That's!..." (Azarathian)

"No, please! ..." (Azarathian)

Their reaction was an immediate rejection, which was understandable; most of them were in some kind of refugee situation.

"Lastly, the third option: I can create a new Azarath for you all..." (Isaac)

"What!..." (Azarathian)

"Really!..." (Azarathian)

This took everyone by surprise; even Arella and the Elders were oblivious to this news.

He motioned with his right hand to stop and to calm down.

"You all didn't let me finish. I can create a new Azarath, but it will take me a minimum of 5 years, and that time could be extended. If it proves to be more challenging, the time could be extended up to 10 to a maximum of 20 years." (Isaac)

The excitement cooldown immediately disbelief was clearly on their faces.

"So in reality there's only two options..." (Azarathian)

Another brave Azarathian commented, which was the thought that everyone was having right now.

"Hmm, you could say that, but let me ask you something: living a couple of years where you don't want to, only for you to return to your home someday, or living in a place where you don't want to for all your life, which one will you choose?" (Isaac)

[A month] That's the time Isaac gave them to decide their future; either way, the more important people had already decided what to do.

"So you decided to become a teacher in my school?" (Isaac)

Isaac was once again in his room on top of the tower; his recent absence put on hold many projects that needed revision and completion.

"You think it's a bad idea?" (Arella)

Sitting on a table with a lot of books stacked on top of each other was Arella. Since coming to the island, she has been spending most of her time in his personal library.

"Not at all, but I thought of a more fitting role for you..." (Isaac)

Without looking up, he answered.

"Oh, which is?" (Arella)

Those words piqued her interest.

"What do you think of being the principal..." (Isaac)

Without finishing his words, she interrupted him.

"Rejected!" (Arella)

Sigh*

"I thought so. Well, at least I asked, but why not?" (Isaac)

This time he looked up to meet her eyes.

"Isaac, the role of Azar taught me many things, and one of them is that to be a great leader you need knowledge and power; unfortunately, I only possess one of them. Besides, I originally didn't want to become the Azar; that was something our Master decided..." (Arella)

Her face was sincere with a hint of melancholy.

"I see, well then I accept your job application then..." (Isaac)

After his words, he looked down to continue working on his projects.

Giggle*

"Thank you, Isaac." (Arella)

After her words she continued reading her books.

Isaac was sitting at his desk, lost in thoughts; in front of him was displayed the dungeon keys section of the shop along with his current stats.

'I need to get stronger' (Isaac)

Those were his thoughts; after the battle against Trigon, he realized that he still wasn't strong enough; if not for his preparations, he would definitely lose against that monster.

The only solution that he saw was to enter the dungeon once again.

"I guess it's time..." (Isaac)

[Do you wish to purchase the Dragon Valley dungeon key?]

'Yes' (Isaac)

[Understood]

In a brilliant light, a key appeared in midair, which he rapidly grabbed.

'Ivory' (Isaac)

[Yes, Master]

A door immediately materialized in front of him. After it was finished, he walked right in front of it. With a swift motion, he inserted the key into the keyhole; the key turned bright red, and then it disappeared.

'Take care of our guest' (Isaac)

[Of course]

Hearing his response, he grabbed the knob and gave it a twist, opening the door.

A more brilliant light engulfed the room, and when it disappeared, Isaac was no longer in there.

[Good Luck Master]

************************

Flap*

Flap*

Isaac woke up at the sound of wings flapping only to look utterly shocked when he looked up to the sky.

"Those are..." (Isaac)

Graaah!*

Roar!*

A couple of creatures with small scales, big wings stretching from the sides, small claw feet, and a large beak-like mouth, their appearance resembles a pterodactyl.

"Wyverns?...yeah, if I recall correctly, they are called pseudo dragons according to any fantasy setting." (Isaac)

After the initial shock, he gathered his thoughts and started to explore; he looked around him.

"Why I always appeared in a goddamn forest!" (Isaac)

Indeed, Isaac was in a grand forest below a mountain range; the mountain in question was huge. If he could compare in size, it would be like the Everest, but unlike that mountain, this one wasn't covered in snow; instead, it was red like the rock formations of the desert.
