Destroying My Own World

Chapter 238: Greatest Schemer.

"Of course, she can. She's the most overpowered of them all. Looks like we don't need to deal with Mara after knowing that, huh?" Aurea asked as she looked at Elena who already knew that she could deal with Mara. "Well. You can go ahead and defeat that woman now. No need to hold back," Aurea said.

Elena looked at Mara as she started to spread her life energy out from her body. Nal and Nyx looked at her and thought how could someone like her exist if her power could negate the predominant being.

"I'm sorry that I have to ruin your fun here, but it is what it is," Elena said as her life energy started to clash with the Void Clouds. "I'll get rid of her as soon as possible so we can go straight to see The Lord," Elena continued and then flew toward Mara. Stay connected via My Virtual Library Empire

In the context of existence, Mara with the [Predominance] power should be able to negate Elena's [Nihility] power. That would be the case if Elena was someone that was created from the real world. Since Elena wasn't an entity of the same universe, Mara's [Predominance] skill couldn't comprehend Elena's power.

That was what Mykel believed in, but after he knew that Mara could overpower Jeanne's [Austerity] skill, that might not be the case. Still, there was one thing that Mara didn't have to counter Elena's power and that was the power to create. Only one being in the whole universe had that power, and that was The Lord himself.

To put it simply, Mykel believed neither of the possibilities could make Mara untouchable in front of Elena's existence. With that being said, Mara was nothing compared to The Lord. If the first theory was the reason Mara couldn't win against Elena, that gave him the understanding that The Lord might not be able to win against her as well.

Elena's life energy slowly devoured the Void Clouds around her, but Mara was still calm knowing that. The longer she let Elena's life energy spread, the smaller her chance to win against her.

"How cute. Just because you know how to defeat me, you think I would stay put? I'm not as stupid as those Gods who stayed to fight you all," Mara said with a smirk on her face. "You know it too, Mykel. As long as I'm near a stronger being, I can overpower them. I wonder what if I stayed right by his side? Would my existence become more powerful than himself?" Mara asked with her eyebrows raised.

Mara sucked all the Void Clouds and flew away toward the blinding light. When Elena wanted to catch up with her, Mykel wrapped his arm around her waist and stopped her from chasing Mara.

"This is what I wanted, don't chase her," Mykel said as he looked at the clouds flying away. "I'm just making her nervous and pushing her to find a way to survive," Mykel continued.

"Now that my husband is dead, do you still have a spot for a widow like me?" Nal asked as she looked at Mykel.

Aurea, Jeanne, Elena, and all the Demon Princesses looked at Nal and still didn't like her personality. Nal ignored those dead stares and just chuckled as she kept looking at Mykel.

"You know. Now that Mara isn't here anymore and you have lost all your underlings. I don't see a reason why we should let you stay by our side," Elena said as she looked down at Nal. "Unless you have a solid reason, we might keep you alive here," Elena added.

"Serve you right," Nyx scoffed as she looked at Nal.

"Hmm, I don't have anything right now, but I do have something that might interest you all. Something that I have in my world," Nal answered as she raised her hands.

"I don't think we need you for that even if you have something for us. We can take it since there's nobody can stop us now," Elena said and landed right in front of Nal. "If you have nothing, it's time for you to meet with your husband," Elena continued as she walked toward Nal.

"I have a theory that I have been working on. A theory of The Lord and his origin," Nal said with a cold and serious expression as she stared at Elena.

Elena stopped her hand from grabbing Nal's neck, and then she slowly retracted her hand. She squinted her eyes and wondered if Nal was making it up so her life could be spared.

"That theory of yours is quite interesting," Mykel said after he read Nal's thoughts and found out about the theory and all the years she had been doing to reach that conclusion.

Everyone looked at both of them and wondered what kind of theory it was that even Mykel got hooked on it.

"This might be the only possibility to find an answer to your worries, Mykel. Of course, I might not be able to help you out, but if you discard this theory and proceeds with your plan, you're going to sacrifice yourself and there will be no winners," Nal explained.

Everyone immediately looked at Mykel and they were shocked by what Nal said. Elena, Jeanne, Hera, and Lyneth didn't hesitate to grab Mykel and surrounded him with confused expressions.

"I'm sorry, Mykel. I don't like that plan of yours. Did you fight this far only to sacrifice yourself to kill him? And you know by killing him will only make all his creations disappear and that includes you and this whole universe. If you didn't exist, neither of your creations would exist either," Nal pointed out. "I can see the future, and none of those futures ends well for anyone," Nal continued.

"Answer me! Did you plan on sacrificing yourself from the beginning?!" Elena yelled as she kept pushing Mykel and ended up pushing him down to the ground. "Everything that we did here! Everything that you told me! All of those so you can die?!" Elena asked again and tears started falling onto Mykel's face.

"No, sweetheart," Nal put her hand on Elena's shoulder. "Mykel did it so you can survive and be the only one who will replace The Lord and make a new world of your own," Nal added.

Nal knew Mykel's weakness and that was Elena's feelings, so she used Elena's feelings to stop Mykel from going further. Mykel was on the final step, and if he proceeded with that plan, there was no turning back and everything would be beyond saving.

Amaryllis put her hand on Nal's mouth from behind and then pulled her away from Elena. She knew what Nal's scheme was, and if nobody stopped her, nobody knew what would happen if she kept stirring Elena's emotions and feelings.

Nal disappeared and reappeared right next to Elena as she looked down at Mykel who was staring at her with a dead stare. Nal had never felt so scared before, but she had to do what she believed to be the right thing.

"No matter how you carefully thread your way, The Lord knows exactly where you're going. He will make you believe you did everything behind his back, but it's all nothing but the plans he made for you," Nal said as she glared at Mykel. "You need to wake up! Do you think by getting his power you can defeat him?! You're only going to the path he has chosen for you! This is nothing but a mere illusion he created! You need to remember that he's the greatest schemer!" Nal shouted.

The moment Nal said that everyone's got chills down their spines, and their whole bodies started to tremble. They could feel someone glaring at them from above, but none of them dared to look up. Elena's angry and disappointed expressions turned into fear in an instant.

The only person who saw what was staring down at them was Mykel. That was when he knew The Lord was furious by Nal's words, and at that moment Mykel finally realized he had been played.

Mykel raised his hand and pointed it at the sky, and then he released a beam of light at it. Everyone died from the blast alone, and neither of them could react or know what happened. All they knew was that they were brought to life, Nal and Nyx were brought to life by Mykel with his [Supremacy] skill.

Mykel slowly stood up and everyone was still confused about what had happened. He then walked toward Nal and offered his hand to her with a calm expression.

"Thank you, for opening my eyes," Mykel said.

"Yes, but what if I only gave you a false hope?" Nal asked as she was still trying to calm herself down. "What if I was wrong and in the end, your plan was the only plan to end this?" Nal added.

"Do you think he would be that furious if there's no other way?" Mykel asked.

Nal slowly lifted her head and looked at Mykel's calm expression. She furrowed her eyebrows and realized Mykel was right about that. If her theory was wrong, then there was no way The Lord would be furious at her.

"This is our only chance while Lucifer is busy planning to kill The Lord. We don't have much time, and we need to find his origin," Mykel said as he kept offering his hand.

"This is going to be a hell of a journey," Nal pointed out as she grabbed Mykel's hand and stood up with his help. "But I have decided to follow you from the very beginning. So please, don't stab me in the back," Nal added with a smile.
