Destroying My Own World

Chapter 244: Fortune Teller.

"You're really insane for having that idea inside your head, Mykel," Nal said as she looked at Mykel and shook her head in disbelief. "That would be the riskiest backup plan I have ever thought, and the fact you're considering it makes me understand how you can reach this far from being just a mere mortal," Nal continued and poured herself a cup of wine.

"Well, that's Mykel and he's always like that," Hera said as she rested her head on her hand and looked at Mykel with admiration. "You should get used to it and believe in him when he's making that kind of expression," Hera stared at Mykel's calm yet confident manners.

"Are you seriously just a mortal? Are you sure your parents weren't Demi-Gods?" Nal asked and took a sip of her wine.

"I'm tired of getting that kind of question. I'm just a novelist who has enough imagination with a rotten personality," Mykel answered and then emptied his cup of wine.

They were thinking of another backup plan and focused on that since they might not have a lot of time even though they were inside the novel world. While they were discussing the backup plans, Elena stood up and then walked to the window to look at something.

"They're doing it again," Elena said as she looked at Bhatmelec, Vincze, Nagy, Lillith, Gerrard, Lyneth, and Shelly who walked to the open field. "Should I do it now, Mykel?" Elena turned around and looked at Mykel.

"Wait, hold on a second. Are you seriously going to do this?" Nal asked as she looked at Mykel with her eyebrows furrowed.

"What's the worst thing that can happen?" Mykel asked with his eyebrows raised. "Do it, Elena. If anyone asks, just tell them that you want to test something out. You can tell Amy about the plan," Mykel looked at Elena as he nodded his head.

Elena left the cabin and went to watch the experiment, and then she spoke with Amaryllis. Amaryllis wasn't surprised by the crazy plan that Mykel made, so she helped Elena prepare the things that she needed.

"Aren't you lonely?" Mykel asked Nal and Odin.

"I have been lonely since I got banished. This isn't something new for me, and I would prefer this than having to see my own children and husband come back to life, or should I say recreated with blank memories," Nal answered as she kept drinking the wine. "You need to be careful that everything you took and get rid of, they will come back again," Nal warned.

Mykel knew about that and he knew about the truth behind Uriel's unique traits more than the other Archangels. The fact Michael and the others lost to Lucifer and perished, and the fact that they were recreated by The Lord and removed their freedom and free will. Since Uriel was the only one who didn't die during the rebellion made her different from the others.

The Lord didn't want the same mistake to happen, and he removed their free will and made them obedient beings. Uriel had no idea about that and blindly followed The Lord like an innocent child. Lucifer didn't know about that either, but he soon would know the truth once he fought The Lord.

"They're making a move," Amaryllis said as soon as she appeared from thin air. "Lucifer has become as powerful as you are and he's getting stronger as we speak," Amaryllis added.

"A pathetic attempt, blinded by his own pride. He won't be able to realize that pride of his will only make him fail. Toyed, used, and manipulated by thinking he can make a change and kill him. The Lord knew and put that emotion to keep Lucifer at bay," Nal said as she stared at her own reflection on the wine.

"You have predicted it since that meeting we did back then. You went to see him because you wanted to check if Lucifer realized the situation he was in," Mykel looked at Nal as he lit the cigarette in his mouth.

"Even Odin could tell Lucifer's attempt to kill The Lord is nothing but to satisfy the ego of his pride. I came to that meeting because I wanted to lure you in, and to meet you in person," Nal answered as she stared into Mykel's eyes. "The moment I stepped my foot on Earth, my only reason to come back was to meet you. The mortal who will destroy Earth," Nal continued with a smile.

Mykel stared at Nal as the smoke from the cigarette went up to his left eye.

"I told you, didn't I? I would join you knowing the power that you possess. The power I meant isn't just The Lord's power inside you, but something more important," Nal said as she stood up and walked toward Mykel. "This is what I meant," Nal put her hand on Mykel's forehead.

"The power that you brought from this world and the power to overrule common sense. You're nothing but a threat to anyone who knows you, and that's what I like about you," Nal explained as she sat down next to Mykel. "The mortal who The Lord fears," Nal added.

"That power of yours that can see the future. Did he give that to you?" Mykel asked. "No matter how I try to look into your ability, I can't see anything about it," Mykel pointed out.

Nal chuckled as she crossed her arms and legs with a smug on her face.

"Of course you can't because it's not a skill or an ability," Nal answered as she looked at Mykel. "I'm a fortune teller, a being who can read the law of nature and the world. I took the principles and the elements of those laws and read them like a narrator. I'm the one who read, not the one who received," Nal explained.

"Doesn't that make you capable of avoiding your own fate?" Amaryllis asked.

"I'm here, right? Isn't that enough to answer your question?" Nal asked back with a smile. "Enough of that, I'm more curious about the result of your crazy idea," Nal said as she stood up and looked out the window.

They went to the field and looked at Nagy created a barrier of [Phantasm] and made the portal visible to the naked eye. The portal looked trippy because it looked like a giant unsymmetrical loop that wrapped around Vincze and Bhatmelec. Inside the loop, there were thousands of Vincze and Bhatmelec stacked to each other.

Gerrard was standing next to Nagy and he was stunned when he activated his [String of Fate]. All the strings were chaotically intertwined and it was the first time he saw something like that. He didn't know what to do with those and he didn't dare to touch those strings before he knew what he wanted to do.

Lillith was standing across those two as she took a deep breath and stared at the portal. She then activated her [Abysmal] skill and tried to reverse the paradox with it, but the moment she did that, in a split second, her body was stretched out, getting sucked into the portal.

Amaryllis didn't hesitate to destroy the portal, and that was when they were terrified by Lillith's condition. Nine-tenths of her body disappeared, and there were no wounds on her body as if she was born like that. Most of her head disappeared, her torso was gone, her left arm, and the bottom part of her body was gone as well.

"Kih he!" Lillith yelled as she looked terrified. "I heg ye, kih me! Hease!" Lillith glared at something in the sky.

When Aurea wanted to kill Lillith, Amaryllis stopped her.

"She's not talking with us. She's talking to the other us from another reality. Her heart and her brain are on the other side, or they all got separated into thousands of realities. We can't do anything about it," Amaryllis explained.

Everyone looked at Lillith's condition and seeing that she was still begging to be killed, Mykel ordered Amaryllis to kill her through the system. Amaryllis killed her and immediately brought her back to life and regenerated her body that couldn't be regenerated since her other half, in the eye of time and space was still attached.

Lillith was traumatized and couldn't stop shaking, and she didn't want to be touched by anyone. It was the second time they saw Lillith who never lost her composure lying on the ground crying.

Mykel gently put his hand on Lillith's shoulder, and she immediately screamed frantically.

"It's me. I'll carry you to bed, and I want you to rest," Mykel said as he looked at Lillith and then carried her in his arms.

Lillith was hugging Mykel so tightly with her whole body trembling. Everyone looked at her with a worried expression and they understood why she was like that.

"Sven, come with me. I want you to take care of her," Mykel said as he walked to the cabin.

Everyone went into the cabin to be there for Lillith, and they wanted her to feel at ease knowing they were there for her.

"That was something else," Nal said as she looked at Mykel.

"But it was necessary," Mykel replied as he put the cigarette in his mouth. "We need to try everything," Mykel continued and lit the cigarette.
