Devouring Demons in Demon Slayer

Chapter 206: DDDS: Chapter 206

As Zenitsu screamed, a dozen human-headed baby spiders emerged from the forest and swarmed him.

Zenitsu, already on the verge of collapse, reacted by running.

Seeing Zenitsu flee, the {human-headed spider demon} warned him again, "I told you, running—"

Zenitsu interrupted, "Is useless, right? Yes, yes, I know! You don't have to repeat it!"

He desperately didn't want to accept his fate, and he didn't want the demon to keep mentioning it.

He quickly climbed a tree, his movements fluid and practiced, showing he often climbed trees.

"Hahaha~ What are you doing? Climbing a tree?" The {human-headed spider demon} found his actions amusing.

"You're so annoying! Stop talking to me! Leave me alone!" Zenitsu covered his ears.

"Don't be so tense. Once you become a spider, you'll lose your soul and forget all your pain," the {demon} said, trying to reassure him.

"No! I don't want to become like that! Why can't you understand?! Stop bothering me!" Zenitsu frantically pulled at his hair.

A large amount of hair came out.

He froze, realizing why his hair was falling out. He remembered the baby spiders were hairless.

"You didn't tell me my hair would fall out~~" Zenitsu complained.

Unable to accept the prospect of hair loss and ugliness, he fainted, hanging in a U-shape from a branch.

The {human-headed spider demon} was puzzled. "What's wrong with this guy? Isn't he a Demon Slayer? He fainted? Such a coward!"

The baby spiders climbed the tree, disturbing Zenitsu's balance. He fell headfirst.

"Falling headfirst… he'll die! What a pity! He won't become a spider now," the {demon} said mockingly.

Mid-fall, Zenitsu took a deep breath.

He grabbed his Nichirin Blade, whispering, "Thunder Breathing, First Form; Thunderclap and Flash!"

He flipped himself over, adopting a fighting stance.

As he neared the ground, he pushed off a tree trunk, launching himself towards the {human-headed spider demon}.
