Divine Necromancer : Cultivating Life & Death

Chapter 19: 19

Noah's grip tightened on Felix's arm as he continued pulling him through the corridors. Felix, clearly irritated, shot a glare at him and snapped, "What the hell are you doing? Why are academy seniors even this free?!" His tone was a mix of confusion and frustration. He tugged his arm in an attempt to break free, but Noah's hand didn't budge.

The older Flameheart turned to Felix, a dangerous smirk playing on his lips. "Relax, my little wolf," he teased, his voice dripping with amusement. The nickname hit Felix like a punch, and a deep blush instantly spread across his face. He gritted his teeth, his temper flaring. "Don't call me that!" Felix snapped, his voice a mixture of anger and embarrassment.

Noah simply chuckled, amused by his reaction, and led Felix into another room, his grip still firm, though Felix had stopped struggling. The playful yet dominant nature of the older dragon's teasing seemed to be getting under Felix's skin.

Felix flopped onto the sofa, crossing his arms in frustration. "Now what?" he demanded, staring at Noah. "Stop playing games with me and Ashton. Tell your brother to back off."

Noah tilted his head, his expression unreadable, before he chuckled softly. "What game? We brothers don't play games, Felix. Just give Samael and your friend some time alone. After that, you guys can leave."

Felix scoffed. "Uh-huh, you guys don't play games?" He leaned forward, narrowing his eyes. "Then what about Samael's 15th birthday party, huh? Didn't you try to prank me and make fun of me by saying—" Felix cut himself off, the memory of that night flooding back.

He remembered vividly how Noah had cornered him, that teasing smirk still in place, and said something that made Felix freeze in shock. "You know, I'm interested in you... romantically." Felix hadn't believed it at the time, thinking it was just another one of Noah's jokes, but now, with the current tension between them, it felt like an unresolved knot he couldn't ignore. He looked at Noah, waiting for a response, his heart beating a little faster than usual.

Noah's usual teasing smirk faded, replaced by a genuine, almost loving smile as he looked at Felix. His gaze softened, and he leaned in just slightly, the playful energy giving way to something more sincere. "No, Felix," he said, his voice low and steady. "It wasn't a prank. You know I'm interested in you."

The weight of his words hung in the air, and Felix's heart skipped a beat. The teasing, the games, all of it suddenly made sense in a way Felix hadn't expected. His mind raced, and for a moment, the room felt much smaller as he tried to process Noah's confession.
