Dragon Ball Super: Exposed! I'm a super saiyan

Chapter 17: CHAPTER 17

c17: New Mission! Luya vs Wukong

Frieza's death left everyone stunned. It was unbelievable that an evil Emperor of his caliber was defeated so decisively.

As Luya's blast dissipated Frieza's form, he reverted to his base appearance.

[Beep! Mission complete: Defeat Frieza!]

[Reward: +500 million power points!]

[Granted: Frieza Cells (ensures survival in space)!]

[Granted: Super Saiyan 3 transformation!]

[Granted: 100 Senzu Beans!]

[Granted: Kaiō‑Ken power upgrade x10!]

The rewards streamed into Luya's mind. He couldn't help but grin—a half-billion power boost, Frieza's cells, SSJ3, 100 Senzu, and Kaiō‑Ken upgrade? Now he could go SSJ3, joining Goku and Gotenks!

"Uh…Luya?" Goku's prompt brought Luya back.

"Yes?" Luya murmured, turning to Wukong.

"How do you know my moves?!" Wukong demanded.

The others Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo—stepped closer, scanning Luya.

"I learned them from Gohan," Luya replied evenly.

That stunned everyone.

"Gohan? You taught him Kaiō‑Ken and Instant Transmission?" Goku asked, incredulous.

"Not my moves, Dad!" Gohan shook his head. "He only copied what I know, not your special techniques."

Wukong narrowed his eyes. "So teleportation came from you?"

"Yes, I invented it myself!" Luya claimed. "I visited Planet Yardrat once. Their people were kind, so I taught them. No problem with that, right?"

He smirked inwardly. After all, as a time‑traveler, he knew all about Yardrat and how Goku learned Instant Transmission there. Faking it was easy.

Wukong's face turned serious. He had learned the move from the actual Yardrat technique originally. Luya's story wasn't impossible.

Vegeta, frowning, blurted out, "What? You look way too young! And you'd need years to learn it—when you were just a kid!"

Luya smiled wider. "Actually, I'm already 520 years old."

"What?!" Everyone collectively gasped.

Luya continued: "I trained in my homeland under a mountain for 500 years, no food or water, just wind and rain. Only then did I awaken Super Saiyan."

"…." Silence hit the group.

He added: "After going SSJ, I traveled the universe, fought many invincible warriors, found this universe's Saiyans, and finally discovered Earth."

His bold claims spread doubt. "Someone living 500 years? Teaching yardrat teleportation? Seems… unlikely."

"Honestly, aside from gods, I've never met anyone who's lived that long…" Wukong scratched his head.

"Saiyans don't live centuries," Vegeta said coolly.

"Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, right?" Luya smirked, trying to bluff.

Faking confidence was surprisingly difficult, and he was glad he'd done his homework before bragging.

But bragging wasn't a crime at least, he hoped not!

Everyone stared as Wukong thought it over.

"Hmm… well, hard to believe, but I guess maybe…" he chuckled.

Then Wukong turned to Luya and grinned.

"Hey, Luya! Think you can take me on?"

Luya's brow furrowed with surprise.

"Are you serious?"

Wukong's grin widened.

"Absolutely! You're amazing, I want a match against you!"

The group exchanged amused looks. It was just like Wukong to leap into a friendly challenge.

Vegeta scowled silently, glaring at Luya.

Suddenly

[Beep! System Trigger: New Task Activated]

[Objective: Defeat Son Wukong in one-on-one combat 1,000 times without losing.]

Luya could only stare in disbelief.

What? A mission? And this one's insane…

Without Kaio-Ken x10 on Super Saiyan 3, he'd never beat Wukong in 1,000 rounds!

Wukong leaned forward eagerly.

"So? Want to take me on?"

Luya hesitated, then nodded.

"Okay."

"Great!" Wukong rubbed his hands in excitement.

"Let's do it somewhere private, we don't want to demolish the place," Luya suggested.

"Good idea!" Wukong nodded, flashing a grin.

The two glowed and Instant Transmission-ed away in a shimmer of light.

Everyone watched, bewildered.

"What the heck?" Vegeta muttered, scowling. Kakarot chose Wukong over me? That's insulting to Prince Vegeta!

He turned to Bulma.

"Bulma, ready to head out?"

She gave a polite nod.

Vegeta and Bulma left. Goku followed, he wouldn't miss the start of that spar.

Krillin and the others hesitated.

"Are they... okay?" Krillin asked.

"They know what they're doing," Piccolo said calmly.

"Right, Uncle Piccolo!" Gohan agreed, waving goodbye.

"Stay safe!" Krillin and the others called after them.

Soon, each of the Z Fighters departed.

Moments later, a rainbow aura shimmered into view.

"Hey! Whis, where'd they go?" a cool voice, Beerus—asked.

"Hmm? They were right here a moment ago," Whis replied, puzzled.

"Hmph! This is your fault!" Beerus grumbled. "You zigged when I said zag and now I missed snack time!"

"Oh haha, Lord Beerus, don't be upset," Whis chuckled. "I'll take you to Bulma's place right away."

In a flash, their rainbow lights shot up and vanished into the sky disappearing in a blink.
