Immediately following that, he pushed his power even further and ascended to Super Saiyan 2 lightning crackled across his aura as golden energy surged violently around him!

As a Saiyan with high potential and refined control, Luya's base power multiplied massively when transformed even more rapidly than Goku's during his earlier Super Saiyan transformations in the Cell Saga.
Luya faced Hit calmly and declared,
"I can transform into Super Saiyan 3 as well, but that form puts heavy strain on stamina. So, I'll fight you like this for now."
Hit shook his head with a composed expression.
"Still not enough."
Since Hit's potential had been fully awakened by Vados's training prior to the tournament, his total combat power when unleashed reached into the hundreds of trillions far surpassing many previous limits. Even without using his Time-Skip (Tokitobashi), his raw power alone made him a terrifying opponent.
Luya smiled with determination.
"Of course I know that's not enough… that's why…"
"AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!"
The arena trembled as Luya's energy erupted again this time, red flames wrapped around his golden Super Saiyan aura. His power continued to surge, layer after layer, defying normal Saiyan limits!
"That pose... could it be...?" Hit's eyes narrowed in surprise.
"He's using the Kaio-Ken!!" shouted Tien, stunned.
"That's impossible! His Kaio-Ken is stronger than Kakarot's!" Vegeta's eyes widened in disbelief.
Was Luya really a once-in-a-millennium prodigy, like the legends spoke of?
"Oh?" Beerus, who had been fuming earlier, raised an eyebrow in intrigue. "Interesting…"
"Haha… yeah," Goku chuckled with a nostalgic grin. "Luya's Kaio-Ken is even better than mine. He can handle higher multipliers without burning out his body! That makes up for not being able to use Super Saiyan Blue." Goku spoke with respect he had trained with Luya in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, so he understood Luya's unshakable confidence.
"How is that even possible?!" Champa and Vados were both visibly unsettled.
Besides Goku, there was now another mortal who could combine Kaio-Ken with a Super Saiyan form something once thought suicidal due to the energy output.
As Luya powered up, Hit watched silently, showing no intention of interrupting. This was his way of honoring Luya's fair play since Luya had given him a Senzu Bean, Hit was giving him time to power up in return.
Then, just as Luya's transformation peaked, Hit erupted with his own surge of energy. His purple aura writhed like a storm dragon, and the space around him distorted violently!
"AHHHHHHHH!!!" Luya screamed as his golden aura was now enveloped in a blazing red overlay just like Goku's Kaio-Ken Blue form, but fueled by Super Saiyan 2!
His power kept climbing ten times… twelve times… fourteen times...
The air around the stage cracked audibly. The tournament barrier, freshly repaired by the angels, began to fracture again under the sheer force of their combined power!
Forced to act, Whis and Vados extended their divine power, reinforcing the stage's barrier once more.
"Luya's energy is almost equal to Goku's!" Krillin wiped sweat from his brow.
Goku, watching intently, nodded with a serious expression.
"I can barely control 10x Kaio-Ken, even with Super Saiyan Blue. But Luya… he's not even using Blue. His mastery over Kaio-Ken is insane. He's trained it to perfection."
Goku recalled their training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Even when they used Kaio-Ken side-by-side, Luya's energy burn was significantly lower. Somehow, Luya had developed a way to stabilize the technique perhaps through a combination of breathing control, energy manipulation, and battle instinct.
"Still, I don't get it," Goku muttered. "Why isn't the usual stamina drain affecting him like it does me?"
"Heh…" Whis gave a knowing smile. "Given that posture… there might still be hope for Universe 7."
"Hmph." Beerus folded his arms with a snort, but his eyes were locked onto the battlefield, betraying his interest.
On the stage, Luya roared with fury and pride:
"Eighteen times Kaio-Ken!!"
BOOM!!!
In an instant, the arena exploded with light. Luya's energy output surged beyond previous records. The atmosphere shimmered. Even gods felt it.
His power had skyrocketed to the impossible: one million billion.
The stage shook. The gods watched in awe.
And the real battle had only just begun.
Chasing Directly After Goku, Who Uses Ten-Times Kaio-Ken in Super Saiyan Blue!
In the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Luya had barely managed to grasp the power of the Kaio-Ken x18. Although his optimal endurance threshold capped at Kaio-Ken x15, the eighteenth multiple strained his body significantly but it was the only way to stand against Hit at full power!

At that very moment, Hit completed his full power-up as well. His energy surged, warping space around him with intense pressure. At peak output, his combat strength now exceeded 90 trillion, thanks to continuous improvement since his previous match with Goku. Yet even then he was slightly weaker than Luya in terms of raw power.
Hit stared at Luya with curiosity and skepticism.
"Why? Based on Son Goku's previous use of Kaio-Ken," Hit said calmly, "this technique should drain immense stamina. You're not using Super Saiyan Blue, yet you can wield more power than Goku did during our last fight? How?"
Luya gave a faint smile.
"Ever heard the phrase: 'Practice makes perfect?'"
Hit fell silent.
In truth, Luya's Kaio-Ken had less impact on his body due to a system plug-in, an internal enhancement that optimized his ki flow and muscle regeneration. While it didn't negate all the strain, it significantly reduced it. The higher the multiplier, the more dangerous it became but even so, Luya endured it better than Goku had in Blue form.
He calculated internally. With Kaio-Ken x18 layered over Super Saiyan 2, he could maintain the form for a few minutes before signs of destabilization would appear.
Though the burden was still substantial, it wouldn't cause the nerve trauma and internal damage Goku suffered when pushing Kaio-Ken Blue against Hit and later against Jiren.
Thinking this, Luya looked at Hit and said with a grin:
"Now let me experience your true technique—Time-Skip Flash."
Hit took a stance, his body relaxing into the familiar precision of an assassin.
"Even though your combat power currently exceeds mine… once I use my Flash Mode, your numbers won't matter."
Luya chuckled.
"Let's find out."
Hit gave a small nod, smiling faintly.
"Interesting. I didn't expect Universe 7 to have another warrior of your caliber besides Goku. Saiyans… you're a remarkable race."
Luya smirked.
"Alright. Let's fight!"
Hit's expression turned cold and focused. The next instant, white fields expanded around his feet—Time Cage had been activated.
Luya roared and exploded forward. In a blur of motion, he launched a barrage of rapid punches so fast they left afterimages trailing in their wake!
Shockingly, each punch made contact not with air, but with something solid!
Hit had already begun attacking him using his improved Time-Skip, yet Luya was keeping up with him in real time, blocking and deflecting strikes from multiple angles!
"System… activate Strongest Saiyan Talent!" Luya called out mentally.
[Ding! Strongest Saiyan Talent activated!]
This talent heightened Luya's neurological perception, capturing the faintest time shifts and motion data. With this ability, he could analyze Hit's Flash movement patterns and continue evolving mid-battle!
Suddenly, Luya's pupils contracted danger!
POW!
A blow slammed into his stomach before he could react. His body doubled slightly as pain shot through him.
The flash vanished. Hit stood right in front of him.
"Wha… what?!" Beerus leaned forward, eyes wide with disbelief.
"Luya!!" Goku, Vegeta, and the others tensed instantly, their faces etched with concern.
"Haha!! That's more like it! Now we're talkin'!!" Champa laughed excitedly, clapping his hands.
Hit stood close, eyes calm and cold.
"My Flash Mode isn't so simple. During my battle with Son Goku, I broke the one-second barrier. Now… I've advanced even further. You won't be able to keep up."
Luya, crouched slightly from the impact, slowly raised his head. A smirk spread across his face.
"Oh, really?"
"Wha—?!" Hit's eyes widened in alarm.
Before he could reposition, Luya's fist cracked across his face, sending him skidding backwards in a violent burst of wind and dust!
Counterattack! A stunning reversal!!
