Dragon Ball Super: Exposed! I'm a super saiyan

Chapter 52: CHAPTER 52

c52: Super Clash! Side Effects Eventually Appear

Ta-ta-ta-ta!

Luya launched a rapid flurry of attacks at Hit, his fists moving in rhythmic precision as he pressured the renowned assassin. Despite Hit's Time-Skip (Toki-Tobashi), the unrelenting assault left him scrambling to defend. With his predictive timing neutralized by Luya's relentless speed and fighting instincts, Hit was forced to guard with his forearms under the onslaught.

Luya's expression hardened sharply. Then, with a powerful spin kick to the midsection, he sent Hit reeling backward.

Ta-ta-ta-ta!

As Hit staggered, Luya transitioned seamlessly into a barrage using the Royal Rush Combo a variant of Vegeta's famed technique passed down among elite Saiyans. Countless Ki Blasts fired in bursts, each one striking Hit's body in quick succession.

Hit gritted his teeth and endured, his normally calm demeanor showing strain. Each blast forced him further back, unable to counter.

"Hit's energy output is dropping!" Goku shouted, watching intently from the sidelines.

"Awesome! If this keeps up, Luya's got it in the bag!" Krillin exclaimed.

"Hmph! Don't waste time finish him!" Beerus growled, his sharp eyes gleaming with intensity.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After unleashing the flurry of energy blasts, Luya suddenly drew back, cupping his hands at his side. "Kame...hame...ha..."

Whummm!

A swirling ball of energy began to form between Luya's palms, the iconic blue light pulsing with power. The battlefield trembled as the wave of energy intensified.

Across from him, Hit gasped for breath, the relentless attack finally giving him a moment's reprieve. He clenched his fists, and with a low growl, purple energy surged around his body a manifestation of his Time Lag Counterattack mode. He raised his hand, condensing a violet energy sphere that glowed brighter and heavier with each second.

Both warriors' power levels surged dramatically!

Whis and Vados exchanged glances. Realizing the next clash could tear through dimensions, they simultaneously expanded their divine ki to reinforce the arena's barrier.

Luya, now resolute, channeled all his energy into the full-power Kamehameha. "...HA!!!"

"Tch! DRINK!!" Hit bellowed in defiance, hurling his compressed Time Energy Sphere forward with full force.

Knowing the massive Kamehameha's area-of-effect left no room to maneuver even with Time-Skip Hit had no choice but to meet it head-on.

BOOM!

The two beams collided violently in the center of the ring. Hit's energy sphere slowed the Kamehameha but was gradually being pushed back.

"Aaaaaahhh!!!" Luya roared, pouring more ki into the wave, amplifying its power!

"Nnnngh...!!" Hit's aura flared wildly. Despite being on the defensive, he resisted with everything he had. His purple aura shimmered erratically, indicating his limit was near.

The shockwaves rippled outward. Despite the divine barrier, the sheer energy began to fracture it. Cracks spiderwebbed across the containment field.

Whis and Vados realized that patching the barrier would only delay the inevitable. In a flash, they teleported to their respective teams and raised individual God Shields to protect the spectators.

With no angelic support, the central barrier finally shattered under the opposing forces.

"Waaahh!!" The gathered fighters and gods were rocked by the unleashed blast. Only the angels' shields kept them from being knocked out cold.

"What power...! Compared to this, I still have room to grow." Goku muttered solemnly. Though his Kaio-Ken x10 Super Saiyan Blue form could match this output in short bursts, the toll on his body was too great. Unlike him, Luya seemed to maintain his form with near-perfect control.

This battle was something rare even in the history of Universe 7.

Beerus narrowed his eyes. A Saiyan reaching this level without even divine training was astonishing. But more than that, he was astonished that a technique like the Kamehameha, originally created by a mere Earthling (Master Roshi), had evolved this far through Saiyan use. It was almost poetic.

He glanced at Monaka, who was sweating nervously on the bench. "Heh... maybe we won't need you after all," Beerus thought with a smirk.

Back in the arena, a titanic explosion consumed the center ring. Even the referee had been blown completely off-course, landing somewhere unknown.

Smoke covered the battlefield. When it cleared chaos. Craters, cracks, and the lingering pulse of residual ki filled the air. The arena had been devastated by the sheer force of two warriors who refused to hold back.

At this point, the arena lay in absolute ruins aside from the viewing platforms fortified by the gods of each universe, everything else had been completely obliterated. Yet, strangely enough, despite enduring a direct clash of energy between two high-tier warriors, the asteroid beneath them remained structurally intact. That in itself was astonishing.

Of course, one plausible reason could be that neither Luya nor Hit had driven their attacks directly into the planet's core. Their energy discharge, while catastrophic in scale, had been focused on each other rather than channeled into the ground. Had either of them struck the planetary crust with intent to destroy, this place wouldn't be standing anymore.

Boom!

Suddenly, a figure collapsed to one knee, panting heavily. His aura flickered—dim, unstable, and nearly depleted.

It was Hit.

Enduring Luya's full-powered Kamehameha had nearly broken him. His defense had held barely but his stamina was shredded.

Inside, he felt frustration simmering. His original plan had been to replicate what had happened during his duel with Son Goku in the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 Tournament pushing himself to new heights by adapting in real time. But this time... he couldn't evolve.

Why?

He didn't know. His opponent's energy was at least on par with what Goku had unleashed using Super Saiyan Blue and Kaio-ken together. Logically, the conditions were right for Hit to unlock further potential. And yet, nothing happened.

Had he already reached the ceiling of his current strength?

Hit couldn't find the answer. Doubt began to creep in.

Across the cratered field, Luya was also far from unscathed. He stood, chest heaving. The last energy clash had drained him significantly. Though his posture remained upright, his movements were tight strained. The overwhelming burst of power he had pushed into his Kamehameha had come at a price.

And then... it hit him.

As his body trembled slightly, a sharp jolt surged through his muscles the dreaded recoil of Kaio-ken.

[Ding! Kaio-ken used beyond stable threshold. Side Effects +10]

The system's prompt echoed in his consciousness.

So it was confirmed. Luya let out a weary, bitter chuckle. His gamble had paid off... but barely. If he didn't increase his mastery further, using Kaio-ken at 18 times multiplier again would be suicide.

He clenched his fists, forcing his breathing to stabilize. Then, raising his voice, he called out:

"Hit… it's time we settled this."

Hit slowly rose, his breathing more measured now. After a pause, he looked straight at Luya. "You're strong. Stronger than me. I'm not your match anymore… but that doesn't mean I'll give up."

Hit had never known defeat. Not truly. Even Son Goku had only managed to force a stalemate during their clash. But now here, in this battle he felt something new: the sense of being outpaced.

Yet, he had his pride. As the most feared assassin in Universe 6, he carried the burden of mastery. He would not go down without unleashing everything.

"Hrrraaah!!!" Hit roared, igniting the last reserves of his ki. His aura flared violently, purple light bursting from his body. And then he moved.

In an instant, he vanished activating his Improved Time-Skip technique mid-stride.

He appeared high in the air, striking toward Luya with a precision strike. Invisible shockwaves accompanied the punch Hit's infamous invisible attack that struck a half-second into the future. He had placed everything on this final blow.

Speed—untraceable.

Luya's eyes narrowed. He clenched his teeth and crossed his arms to brace for the hit.

BOOM!

A massive collision echoed across the battlefield. Luya was blasted backward, dragged across the ground in a violent skid. The impact cratered the arena floor beneath him, and smoke rose from the strike zone—evidence of the sheer force behind Hit's attack.

And then before Luya could recover Hit was already there.

Using his Time-Skip, Hit had appeared directly in front of Luya again, poised to unleash the next strike before the dust even cleared.
