The sky of Planet Vegeta was filled with artificial moons, a stream of Blutz Waves shot toward the surface.

Blutz Wave is a special energy generated during the full moon. Saiyans' eyes can absorb this unique wavelength—triggering, via their tails, the transformation into a Great Ape.
