Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Chapter 143: I Just Want To Destroy

At the Cat Shelter Guild…

"Wow! These clothes are so cute!" Lucy cooed, examining her reflection in a folk-style outfit reminiscent of a regional tribe.

"I'm cuter," Sherry said, similarly dressed, posing before a mirror.

"This style is distinctive," Erza commented, already thinking of adding it to her extensive wardrobe. She had a private habit of collecting different clothes and armors—even a wedding dress for… special occasions.

Wendy smiled at how delighted they all seemed. "Our entire village is essentially the guild, known for textiles," she explained.

Sherry glanced around. "So, Wendy, how exactly did your Cat Shelter join the Guild Alliance? Apologies if it's rude, but I'd never heard of your guild before this battle."

"Same for me." Lucy added. She'd been part of Fairy Tail for over half a year, knew plenty about other guilds, but "Cat Shelter" had never come up in conversation.

Wendy looked sheepish. "We're pretty unknown, I guess."

Carla urged, "Alright, everyone. The others are waiting in the square."

They exited the little building to find a gathering in the guild's central courtyard.

Roubaul, the elderly Guild Master of Cat Shelter, addressed them, "Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Wendy, Carla—you've all succeeded in defeating Oración Seis and halting Nirvana. On behalf of the local guild alliance, I, Roubaul, thank you."

"Hahaha, no problem at all!! Our intense battle with Oración Seis was grueling, but our bonds brought us victory!" Ichiya proclaimed in a dramatic tone.

"Teacher Ichiya is amazing, as always!" the Blue Pegasus trio chimed in.

Gray sighed. "They barely fought anyone…"

Lucy whispered, "They were knocked out pretty fast by Midnight, if I recall."

Happy nodded. "They got wiped out, then fixed that battered magic bomber. But oh well, a win's a win."

"It's finally over," Sherry breathed, though Leon stood aside looking less than satisfied. Before arriving, he'd been all fired up to defeat Oración Seis, yet ended up contributing far less than planned. Even Jura from Lamia Scale had at least subdued Hoteye.

Sensing Leon's mood, Jura patted his shoulder. "You still did fine. You've seen how large this world is— there are countless powerful mages. I still strive to become stronger, too."

"Y-Yes, sir!" Leon visibly brightened at Jura's reassurance. He could train harder next time.

Suddenly—

Boom—!!

The ground rumbled.

"Whaaa—?!"

"Is it an earthquake?"

People spun to look at Nirvana, now stationary on the horizon. Its central section was shifting again, stones rotating to form something like a massive cannon muzzle, powerful magic condensing within.

Roubaul's face went pale. "No… Everyone, run—Nirvana is firing!!"

"Why?! We destroyed the control tower! How can it still shoot?!"

From every corner of the alliance, expressions turned grim. Even though the tower was ruined, it seemed Nirvana's weaponry could be activated by some internal mechanism.

All at once, a voice boomed in their minds:

"Hahahahaha! You damned light maggots, all gathered so nicely…

Did you think destroying the control tower would stop Nirvana? So naive! I've taken complete control now.

You should have killed me when you had the chance!

I just want to destroy!! EVERYTHING shall be obliterated—aaaahahahaha!!!

Those who stand in my way…disappear!!!

Nirvana—FIRE!!!"

"No—!" Wendy cried in alarm, recognizing the voice of Zero, the final persona of Brain.

"Bastard!" hissed Gray, fists clenching helplessly at the massive energy building in Nirvana's "cannon."

Sherry's face drained of color. "I… I can't see how we block something that big." Despair flickered in her eyes.

Then, Wendy felt a reassuring hand on her head. She looked up to see Su Yan.

He gave a calm smile. "Don't worry, Wendy. Your guild won't be destroyed. None of you will."

Others from Fairy Tail perked up at his words—especially Natsu, who recognized that glint in Su Yan's eye.

Natsu's lips curled into a shaky grin. "Could it be…?" he murmured with excitement.

In the distance, Nirvana's colossal magic cannon prepared to fire, darkness swirling with destructive force. Yet Su Yan stepped forward, gazing upon the monstrous threat as though it were nothing more than a trivial wall to tear dow
