Gol D. Ace In Coiling Dragon

Chapter 281: Book 9: Part 7 – The Celestial Realm’s Boleyn Clan (Volume Finale)

Before leaving, Reglurin gave them an orb that contained a list of all the items their branch of the KSC held and offered to give them one item to choose from free of charge.

Ace asked what the catch was, knowing there was no such thing as a free lunch.

Reglurin wasn't surprised by Ace's distrust, so he calmly explained that those like him from the KSC didn't involve themselves in the politics of the Divine Realm and instead preferred to create bonds with those they saw as worthy of their time and that he believed that as long as Ace didn't die, his future would be boundless, which in turn would only help him in the long run.

And even if he was wrong and Ace died in the future, he (Reglurin), as the branch manager, was filthy rich. If there was one thing he didn't worry about, it was money.

Hearing that, Ace nodded in understanding before using his spirit to enter the orb and looking through the list.

Each item had a description followed by a price. Ace scrolled through several before settling on one – a Metallic Lifeform.

From the list, Ace could see that there were three types of metallic lifeforms.

Small: Speed of the average Full God and could withstand the attacks of a Demi-God that could also change in shape and size at the user's discretion – 1 Million Fatestones Medium: Speed of the average High God and could withstand the attacks of a Full God that could also change in shape and size at the user's discretion – 10 Million Fatestones Large: Speed of a 7-Star Seeker and could withstand the attacks of a High God that could also change in shape and size at the user's discretion – 1 Billion Fatestones

According to the description, the metallic lifeform they got from Gurman was a small lifeform, which, judging by the price, wasn't a surprise, and Beirut's Metallic Lifeform was unsurprisingly a large.

Although there were many impressive items that caught Ace's eye, the large metallic lifeform was what Ace decided upon in the end.

With the size of their group and the threats they would inevitably face in the future, this was undoubtedly the best choice.

Aside from that, Ace sold all the unwanted goods their group had for another couple million Fatestones and bought a detailed map of the Celestial Realm as well as a detailed list of all the major powers here on the Celestial Realm.

After that, Ace and Mira prepared to leave when Reglurin warned them that even though he was safe for now, the Fate Seekers Alliance would eventually put a bounty on their heads.

Although they wouldn't care about the death of their ordinary members like Gurman, Lord Violet-Cloud was a different matter.

Every single Lord Prefect was, in name, a direct subordinate of the 7 Sovereigns of Fate. Although the Sovereign wouldn't dare to lower themselves to deal with a deity, the Fate Seeker Alliance as a whole would see it as a whole and wouldn't let the matter go so simply.

Ace smiled and told him that it wouldn't be the first time a bounty was put on his head.

After leaving, Ace and Amira met back up with Kannal before heading back to the others.

When they returned to the mountain range they had called home for the last 15 years, Killian, Leona, and the others were all surprised to see Qimai and Weslor still with them.

After hearing about what happened and the fact that Ace would eventually gain a bounty on his head, causing not only him but all of them to be chased down by the whole of the Fate Seekers Alliance, both Qimai and Weslor were surprised to see how relaxed they were.

Even though the young brother and sister had spent most of their lives protected by Kannal and the others, as natives of the Celestial Realm, the one thing they knew was that aside from the Clans and factions belonging directly to the sovereigns, the Fate Seekers Alliance were the most powerful and terrifying force of their Celestial Realm.

But in the eyes of Killian and the others, they knew Ace well enough to know that his stirring up trouble and finding enemies was only a matter of time. In fact, they were surprised it took this long.

Looking at how unphased everyone was, a genuine smile was put on Ace's face as he thanked the heavens for giving him such great friends.

With a grin, Ace summoned the giant Metallic Life Form that had now taken the shape of a large ship before announcing that since the Celestial Realm wanted to put a bounty on his head and treat him like a pirate, then that's what they'd become – the Pirates of the Celestial Realm. But before that, they needed to come up with a name.

After brainstorming for over an hour, Amira suggested that since Ace would be their captain and that his most notable feature was his Golden Sun Visual Manifestation, they should call themselves "The Golden Sun Pirates."

At the same time, in a separate region of the Celestial Realm, a man who looked identical to Lord Violet Cloud was hurrying through the skies with a face distorted with anger, unwillingness, and resentment.

The Violet-Cloud Ace killed was just one of his Divine Clones. It was his most powerful clone, but it wasn't his only clone. It was because of this that Ace wouldn't be able to access Violet-Cloud's storage ring as it technically still had a living owner.

The clone whizzing through the skies was Violet-Cloud's true body. Though Violet-Cloud's true body was a lot weaker, it was far from weak. It was still a 6-Star Seeker of the laws of Fire.

Like many other experts, Violet-Cloud had chosen to keep his divine clones separate in case one died; he would still have another life.

Never would he have imagined, though, that it would be his Destruction Clone that would die, and especially not in the comforts of his own prefecture.

His rage was completely understandable, as was his thirst for revenge. Unfortunately, with his most powerful clone killed, his chances of taking revenge himself were all but non-existent. His best bet was a hired hand.

He had already informed the closest branch of the Fate Seekers Alliance that he had been killed by an unknown expert and passed along all of Ace's details, causing Ace to get a bounty of ten billion Fatestones put on his head, but he wasn't done.

He was currently on his way to visit an old friend. Kamario Boleyn, the current Patriarch of the Boleyn Clan, or at least those left of the Celestial Realm's Boleyn Clan.

Although in terms of abilities, the Vis Clan's Visual Manifestation had the one with the most potential, in terms of the actual power of the clan, the most powerful was, without a doubt, the former Four Divine Beast Clans. Not only were their innate and Divine Abilities exceedingly powerful, and not only did they have an almost excessively large number of top-level experts, but they also had Four Sovereigns sitting at their helm.

Because of their overwhelming superiority, they were also incredibly arrogant, suppressing various clans spread out through the various Divine Realms and even some Material Planes.

Unfortunately for them, a few thousand years ago, their four Sovereign-level ancestors were killed. It was that incident which allowed Beirut to get his hands on their four Sovereign-Sparks.

As a subsequent result of that day, though, the near-tyrannical reign of the Four Divine Beast Clan came to an end. Without the support of their Sovereign-level ancestors, their near unlimited supply of Sovereign's Might came to a halt, and many of the major clans that had been forced to swallow their humiliation in the past, giving face to the four Sovereign ancestors, decided to take revenge for the humiliation they suffered in the past.

Due to the pressure put on them by the various clans that hated them, the Four Divine Beast Clans were slowly suppressed till the point where they were forced to call all their forces back from their various planes to consolidate them in the Infernal Realm, which is where they're primarily based now.

Of those clans, there were eight that not only had motive but also the power necessary to really take revenge. Those eight were spread out all over the various Divine Planes, and one of those eight was precisely the Celestial Realms Boleyn Clan.

When the Four Divine Beast Clan retreated to the Infernal Realm, the Eight Great Clans each sent the majority of their respective clans to the Infernal Realm to try and wipe out the Four Divine Beast Clan once and for all, but it wasn't all of them. They made sure to keep a good-sized contingent of their forces in their respective homes.

Especially the Boleyn Clan, who were by far the most powerful of the Eight Great Clans. Not only did they have a total of five Commander-level experts, but four of them were actually Sovereign Emissaries. Meaning they worked directly for one of the various Sovereigns, who in turn granted them not only a Sovereign Artefact, but also Sovereign's Might to do their bidding.

Of the Boleyn Clan's four Sovereign Emissaries, only one was sent to the Infernal Realm. The others remained behind to retain their position in the Celestial Realm, one of whom was Mertha Boleyn.

Though Mertha wasn't the official Matriarch of the Clan, she was known as the most powerful, being that she wasn't far off from becoming a Paragon, but more importantly, or at least for the Violet-Cloud, it was said that for certain reasons which weren't clear to the masses, she had a vendetta against the Vis Clan.

Knowing that, it was no surprise that Violet-Cloud didn't hesitate in hurrying over to the Boleyn Clan and letting Mertha know.

Upon finding out that there was still a member of the Vis Clan alive and one talented enough to fight against a Commander-level expert as a Full God, no less, Mertha was shocked and then thankful that she received the information. She told Violet-Cloud that the Chief Sovereign of Darkness – the Sovereign Mertha was in service of – would be genuinely appreciative of his service.

Hearing that, Violet-Cloud didn't say anything directly, but he was still shocked. He knew that Mertha had a feud with the Vis Clan, but from Mertha's words, he was able to guess that it was actually the Chief Sovereign with the feud, and Mertha was just the Emissary he used to act against them.

After getting over his surprise, Violet-Cloud's shock turned into excitement. If it was just Mertha who hated the Vis Clan, though he was confident in Mertha's power, there was still a chance Ace would be able to survive, but if it was a Sovereign, then Ace stood no chance.

Unfortunately, Violet-Cloud had no idea that Mertha had no intention of telling her Sovereign of this most recent development.

Although Mertha acknowledged Ace's power and potential, she didn't believe for even a second that she would need her Sovereign's support to capture a mere Full God.

After seeing Violet-Cloud out of their family's estate, a handsome but arrogant-looking young man suddenly appeared beside her. It was her only son, Terlock Boleyn.

Terlock was only a little over a thousand years old and still just a Full God, but like Ace and his group, his power couldn't be judged by his realm. Aside from the Commander-level experts of their Boleyn Clan, he was said to be among the strongest among the Boleyn Clan's 7-Star Seekers.

Looking at him, a satisfied smile appeared on her face as she said, "You always said it was a shame you never got to face the true genius' of the Vis Clan. Well, it looks like you're about to get your chance."

Hearing that, a bloodthirsty grin suffused his otherwise charming face as he said he couldn't wait.
