Grandson of the Holy Emperor is a Deadbeat

Looking at the massive bear struggling to roll out of the hole in the cave it made, Allen lifted the shovel up into the air and slammed it directly onto the spine of the animal just under its neck!

His pointed shovel enchanted to be [Sharp] and blessed with Divinity made a deep scratch in its thick leather hide but the shine on his shovel dimming slightly.

Blessing didn't have a set period of time before they disappear, they will disappear in time but the more someone uses their blessing the less it'll last. After fighting off the wolf and half skeleton zombies, Allens shovel was quickly losing the blessing, which was going to force him to use his already low Divinty reserves for another blessing when it runs out!

The bear seem to not feel Allen's attack or not care about himself as its mind was focused solely on getting up, sparing no thoughts about being attacked.

Allen capitalized on this, he didn't stop bashing into the bears large and rotting back, tying his best to aim for the same spot but mostly missing.

After a grueling 10 seconds of attacking with every ounce of strength he had, the blessed shovel had lost a lot of its luster but was finally able to pierce through the bears thick hide and hits flesh!

Unfortunately just as the shovel struck flesh, the bear managed to unstuck itself from its self created hole! Allen felt terror coursing through him, he managed to get up and attack the bear purely on adrenaline but he could feel that his body was still wrecked after getting clipped by the falling bear.

His body was body was aching in pain, his hands were bleeding from the handling the wooden handle of the shovel, and his head rang loud in pain from a probable concussion.

Looking up at the now angry bear who finally looked at Allen as a threat, Allen quickly began walking backwards. "…I'm totally screwed."

The zombie bear's eyes abruptly widened before quickly lowering its posture, it's legs tensed up before pouncing. Like a spring, the large bear kicked the ground hard as it shot towards Allen!

Even though it possessed such a large and heavy body, it was probably the quickest out of all the predators when it came to its ability to charge forward.

Huge, lengthy claws that Allen nearly mistook for actual scythes took a swift swipe at him, he realized it was immposible to dodge it and could only try to defend.

'Son of a…! [DURABILITY]!' Pouring most of his remaining Divinity into his shovel, Allen saw multiple messages flash before his eyes but couldnt look.

The bear's heavy paw struck Allen's shovel handle and his entire body was flung into the side of the cave, knocking the wind out of him as he slammed hard into the rocky cave wall for a second time!

Allen's body screamed at him in pain, all he wanted to do in that moment was to curl up into the fetal position as he was almost sure that one of his ribs had been broken!

A short scream leaked out from his mouth as he desperately battled to stay conscious as the large thumps of the bears foot steps came closer. That attack just now, it should've been more than vicious enough to break through the blessed shovels handle and rip his body in half.

However…

A Rune letter was engraved on the shovels head with a faint light oozing out from it. Not fully understand, he saw a faint message in the corner of his eye.

'My Enchantment leveled up? What's Divine Aura?' Allen's surely concussed mind couldnt quite understand what happened, just looking at the bright screen cause his head to ache.

On the bright side, the zombie bear's dangerous-looking claws developed big cracks and looked like they were on the verge of being cracked to pieces!

Allen felt immense pain throughout his entire body but he knew he had to get up. Grabbing the shovel to help himself back away, Allen noticed the shining Rune letter gradually disappearing from his shovel but it didn't even register in his mind.

The pain was overwhelming, he realized that not only had he broken a couple of bones, but his organs were most definitely damaged!

He attempted to use the shovel as leverage to stand up, but he immediately tripped and plopped down on the ground, causing shooting pain to course through his body.

'Ah… I'm definitely screwed.' Allen couldn't put any weight on his legs as they were most likely broken, his despair apparent on his face

Allen was internally shocked that the Bear hadn't mauled him to death by now, and was instead letting him try crawling away. Taking a second to look back at the bear, Allen noticed the creature's relaxed gait and as soon as it relized Allen looking at it, the corners of the bears lips arched up.

Seeing the bear form a smile, Allen's face contorted in anger.

'Its has to be a Necromancer! Only a Necromancer can personally possess an undeads movements! It's been watching everything from this bears eyes!'

Seeing this, Allen couldn't help but lament for the kidnapped woman's fate.

'They said that woman was extremely beautiful, and a Necromancer is still a human with human urges... She's probably facing a situation worse than death.'

Allen's back reached the wall of the cave, the large zombie bear stomped forward towards the boy and opened its maw wide.

'Dear Gaia...Your the Goddess of love and mercy, I could really use a lotta love and mercy right now... I'm not the same Allen that committed those horrible deeds, I don't deserve this and I swear I'll make this world a better place if I survive!'

Allen didn't know if the Gods in this world were real or not, but him reincarnating into a new world with a new body was proof enough that at least something exist! So with the tiny bit of Divine Energy he had left, he prayed to her.

[Gaia has heard your plea]

Allen opened his eyes wide at that message, just as he finished reading it he saw a flash of white sneak out from behind undead bear who was inches away from ripping Allen apart!

Upon closer inspection he realized it was a girl carrying a kitchen knife!
