Further research indicated that while most snakes have poor vision, there are some species (especially those who prey on birds) that have good 3D vision. Hearing is one of the most developed senses in snakes. Snakes lack external ears – they ears consist only of the inner ear, that allows them to hear low frequency airborne vibrations. Snakes also have another more acute way of hearing – they hear with their jaw. Ground vibrations are transmitted through the snakes body to the quadrate bone (the bone connecting the lower jaw to the skull) where it later goes to the inner ear. In other words, it 'hears' any ground vibrations. Snakes have combined taste and smell to form a powerful chemosensory device. They don't really smell using their nose – that is used mostly for breathing. Instead, snakes (or their lepdosaurian ancestors) adapted their tongue and sense of taste to capture scent particles in the air and transforming it into olfactory information.

The Jacobson organ, located at the roof of the snake's mouth, takes in information gathered by the tongue and transforms it into smell. Touch is another well-developed sense in snakes. Snake bodies have many tactile receptors that allow them to feel the slightest change in their environment. Some snakes, in particular those of the Boid family (pythons and boas) and Crotalidae family (the Pit Vipers) have also developed a sixth sense – the ability to sense the heat of other creatures. These sensors are located in pits found on the lips of the snakes (on the top lips of snakes in the Boid family, and on the bottom lips of the pit vipers). These pits are able to sense slight changes in ambient temperature. Pit vipers took heat sensing to a more developed level, in which their brain actually gets an image of the animals.

Dobby soon returned and said "Griphook can see you now sir Birdy". "OK Dobby. Thanks. Can you take me?" he replied. "Yes Mr. Fenix Birdy sir" said Dobby cheekily. Evan chuckled and held out his hand. Dobby and Evan disappeared with a pop and soon appeared in front of Gringotts. They nodded to the Goblin Warriors guarding the doors as they walked in. Griphook met them at the entrance and took them to a conference room in the back. A burly Goblin was there waiting. Griphook introduced him as Ballsack. "Good morning Ballsack. May the gold of your enemies fill your vaults" Evan began. "Ballsack's eyebrows rose, and he glanced at Griphook, then back to Evan. Griphook tells me you're the one to talk to if I need good Goblin weapons." "What is your need, Wizard" Ballsack asked.

Evan pulled out a roll of paper from his invisible bag and laid them on the table. Some friends of mine and I have been tasked to kill a 20-foot Basilisk which has been enhanced with a Horcrux and other magic. I've used a Goblin blade in the past to kill a Basilisk, but it is not available to me. These are some of the weapons I think might help in my quest. As one or two of my friends do not have much magic, I was hoping you might make some bullets made of Goblin steel. My other friend and I are users of swords, knives and archery. Would you be able to make me a set of these swords, some throwing knives, and some tips for our arrows made of Goblin steel? Our need is very urgent – we anticipate the attack to be tomorrow. Are you able to help us?" he asked. Ballsack said that he could have the weapons ready later that evening. "I want to thank you, Ballsack. Griphook will transfer the funds to you. May you stay ever sharp and reap many rewards." Evan replied, and then they left. Dobby popped them back to the Trunk.

At 10:00am a military jeep approached the staircase on the first underground floor of Harrods in London. A group of 5 came out of the shadows, opened the door to the Jeep and got in. The Jeep then exited the structure, rejoined traffic and made its way to the heliport. From there, the five flew to CTCRM to meet with the Commander.

When they entered the Commander's office, there were two surprise visitors. "Good Morning Madam Bones! Prime Minister!" Midshipman Fenix greeted, as he entered the door. "Commander. General Black. Good morning Sirs" he continued. He then introduced the others in the group. "Madam Bones, Prime Minister, Commander and General Black. You all remember Hermione Granger. Behind her are her parents, Dr. Helen and Dr. Peter Granger. The last person in our group is one of my martial arts instructors, Sensei Linnear. In my talk this morning with the Commander, we both thought it would be beneficial to have Sensei here today."

"Good morning everybody." Began the Commander. "This morning we got intelligence that an attack was being planned on the Queen and her attending." Madam Bones' monocle slipped off her eye due to the shock. Prime Minister Majors' shock was more subtle – he choked on the coffee he was drinking, and ended up spraying it across the table. "The supposed purpose of this attack is to facilitate the immediate dismantlement of the magical Magna Carta of 1225, with the hopes of this Voldemort of taking over all of the UK, both magical and non-magical. I have asked Madam Bones here because of our past experience with her, and because we are dealing with magical creatures." The Commander said.

"Before we really get into the meat and potatoes of this Prime Minister, do we know if the Queen and any of her attendings know about magic?" asked the Commander. "Yes, they do" replied the PM. "I think it would be best to vacate Windsor early morning of January 1 or maybe even tomorrow night. I also think that Madam Bones should accompany the Queen, as extra protection. What are your thoughts on this, Madam Bones?" the Commander asked. "That would work. I would however, like to reserve final say and hear the rest of the plan." She replied. "After we evacuate the castle Midshipman Evan, Sensei Linnear, the General and I will wait in the castle for the snake to appear. We each have a radio so we can communicate and coordinate. Thoughts?" the Commander asked. "Two two-man teams, sir. From Hermione's description, these snakes, in particular one with an implanted Horcrux, are intelligent, swift, and vicious. It might be best if I go with one of you and Sensei goes with the other." Evan said. None of the four (men) seemed to notice Hermione standing off to the side, tapping her foot and with a look on her face as if she were about to boil over. "Hmm Hmm" she coughed. "And what about me?" she asked.
