Heavenly Asura Path(Percy Jackson)

Chapter 4: Heavenly Asura Path 4

Chapter 4: Spiritual Tool Shop

One month later

A cheerful old lady was watering flowers in her shop, smiling as she hummed a song. She had wrinkles all over her face, but there was a kind of unfazed youthfulness between her brows and her eyes were bright.

She had been working in her shop that was once her mother's for years. She was not a spiritual master, just a normal person. Although, of course, she had her martial spirit. Almost all humans had martial spirits, but it was only when someone had soul power that they could train to be spiritual masters. Sadly, the woman only had a flower martial spirit, but no soul power.

Ding~ Ding~

Suddenly, the bell above the door of her shop rang, drawing her attention.

"Welcome!... Oh, it's you, young man," the lady smiled as she saw a man with long, black hair that was a bit messy. He was wearing black clothes and had an icy expression.

"The same as always?"

"Yes…" the man replied as he nodded.

"I don't know why you always buy so many seeds and flowers…" the old woman commented as she put the watering can down on a chair and walked over to get the man's order.

"My garden," he replied.

The old woman just smiled and laughed a little. The young man in front of her had come the past few weeks to buy flowers and seeds. She was a little surprised to see the young man's cold expression. And, when she saw his dark and slightly empty eyes, she understood that he had been through a lot. She, as a seventy-year-old woman, had seen many people, good and bad. Among them, there were some with those kinds of eyes.

"Here… here are your things," the old woman said, handing over a few small bags with seeds and various flowers in an arrangement. The man nodded and placed several gold coins on the table. This was too much, but the old woman could never receive proper payment, the man always refused to pay less than the gold coins.

In the end, the old lady had to resign herself and accept the payment that was more than adequate.

"How is your shop?"

"..." the man glanced at the old lady before turning to leave.

"I still... don't have any customers."

"Hehe... you just have to be patient, young man."

He just nodded before leaving the shop. At that moment, a woman was about to enter and almost ran into him.

"I'm sorry..."

They both said and looked into each other's eyes for a moment. The woman was surprised by how handsome the man was, but even more so by his eyes. Somehow, they resembled hers when she looked in the mirror every morning.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds before the man walked out of the shop.

She stared at his back for a few seconds before looking back at the old lady.

"Old Lady Chu, who is he?"

"Oh... Erlong," the old lady smiled. "He's a young man who opened a shop recently and has been coming to buy for a few weeks now."

The old lady shook her head a little sadly, "I guess he's been through a lot of things with his eyes. Those kinds of eyes aren't normal."

The woman just nodded before placing her order, but her head was thinking about the man she saw.

"Do you know his name?"

"Percy... at least, that's the name he gave me."

.....

With Percy, he left the things he had just bought on the dining table. Since a month ago he started planting flowers in the backyard. There were already some planted, but his yard still looked empty, so he decided to buy more and take care of the flowers.

It was... relaxing when he realized. Watering and taking care of the flowers made his mind stop thinking about things that caused him pain and anger.

"Well... let's see if there are any customers today," Percy shook his head and left his house, locking it and walking several meters until he reached his shop. It wasn't too big from the front, but it had a large space in the back. Percy sold essence tools to store items and also some soul guidance devices that he had put together himself thanks to the old man's teachings.

But since the shop didn't look like one from the front, he hadn't had any customers.

"Looks like I'll have to fix up the front a bit," Percy muttered to himself with a sigh.

Suddenly, the door opened and Percy turned to see who it was.

"You… are you the lady from before?" Percy asked with a small frown.

"Hello…" she smiled slightly, but that smile seemed a little fake. Percy raised an eyebrow as he took a closer look at her. She is a beautiful woman seemingly in her thirties with a lovely figure. Her facial features are delicate, looking like a painting. And although her big black eyes seemed lifeless, they still had spirit. She has a well-developed figure and her voice is very sweet and melodious.

"Do you want to buy something?" Percy asked as he walked behind the reception desk.

"What are you selling?" she asked curiously, looking at the shelves and furniture with weapons of all kinds and some items she didn't know. "Are they weapons?"

To tell the truth, she was curious about the man she met a few minutes ago. His eyes were similar to hers, eyes that seemed lifeless, eyes that had seen many things, both beautiful and horrible.

They were the eyes of a person who seemed to have lost everything.

"I sell essence tools and spirit guidance devices."

The woman looked at Percy a little puzzled.

"I know the former, but what are spirit guidance devices?"

"Soul guidance devices, also called spirit tools. They can be classified into two basic categories: short-range and long-range spirit guidance devices."

"The devices are activated with spiritual power, upon activation they can potentially become powerful weapons. The more powerful the spirit guidance device, the greater the spiritual power required."

"Depending on the spiritual tool, with one of them, even an auxiliary-type spirit master could defend themselves and attack the enemy."

Spirit masters were categorized into different types: assault-type, auxiliary-type, control-type, defense-type, healing-type, and speed-type. The titles were self-explanatory. An attack-type spirit master focused on attack, the auxiliary-type focused on increasing the parameters of an individual spirit master or equipment. A person from the healing system would heal and help with wounds, etc.

"What? They can really do that?" The woman looked with much more curiosity at the weapons of all kinds. There were swords, spears, and shields. There were small things that looked like a handle, others looked like wings, etc. She felt surprised.

"Can I try some?"

Percy extended his hand behind him.

"Pick one and you can go to the back of the shop to try. The descriptions are under each item."

She nodded and began to look at each of the spirit tools. The first thing she saw was a pair of wings that looked like they were made of metal, but they looked beautiful. They had a bright silver color and looked light.

[Silver Wind Wings]

[Minimum Usage Requirements: Four Spirit Rings]

[Description: Created from tempestuous light silver and refined thousands of times. Attached to a spirit master's back allows for long and short distance flight]

[Light Photon Beam]

[Minimum Requirements: Three Spirit Rings]

[Description: Two bracelets that can be detached and float up to five meters away from the wearer. Allows for firing concentrated energy beams capable of injuring level 40 spirit masters]

"I want to try these two."

"Well..." Percy nodded. "By the way, I don't know your name, Miss."

"Liu Erlong. My name is Liu Erlong," she smiled slightly, taking the two tools carefully and walking towards Percy. The two of them passed through double doors and came to a huge space with several targets at the end and high enough to test flight.

"I'll help you attach the wings," Percy said, reaching out his hands and taking the silver wind wings. Then, he placed them on Liu Erlong's back. She watched as a flexible metal strip came out of the wings and squeezed her abdomen and shoulders a little.

"To use a spiritual tool, you have to use your soul power. Try to cover the wings with your soul power and then carefully insert it until you feel a core. At that time, merge your power with the core."

"You must use more soul power if you want to go faster, it's the opposite to go slower."

"Okay!" Liu Erlong was a little excited. She was the dean of the Blue Tyrant Academy, so if this worked as the description said, it could help her students a lot. The price wasn't even an issue, as long as she could buy more of these kinds of tools, then she would pay whatever amount of money it was.

Liu Erlong controlled her soul power and felt a kind of connection as it pierced through the metal and reached the core. At that moment, a humming sound came from behind her and the wings lit up with a silvery white color and she rose from the ground. Seeing her feet floating, Liu Erlong smiled excitedly and began to move through the air, going up and down, moving left and right, increasing and decreasing speed.

She moved all around the testing place.

"Let's try the other one...", muttering to herself, she put on the two bracelets and used her soul power. At this moment, three pieces of metal broke off from the bracelet and floated around him before they lit up in a cyan color and six beams of concentrated energy shot forward, creating small explosions.

"Amazing…" he whispered when he saw that the beams had pierced through the metal targets in the shape of people and even shattered them a bit due to the explosions.

"How much do these two spiritual tools cost?!" Liu Erlong asked forcefully.

"The Silver Wind Wings cost one million golden spiritual coins and the Light Photon Beam Bracelets cost two hundred thousand golden spiritual coins," Percy replied expressionlessly.

"I'll buy it! In fact, I'd like to buy more stuff!"

"Go ahead, you can see and try it out," Percy smiled lightly, glad that he could finally sell something. The old man had only given him a million gold coins, so he had to get more so he could live more comfortably for the entire time he had to spend on this planet.
