Honkai City: My First Move is to Animate Honkai Impact 3rd

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The Sins of Schicksal

[Following Judah's chains, Theresa and the others arrived in front of the huge, circular building. Driven by curiosity, Theresa touched the wall. Welt shouted at her not to touch it, but before he could explain, a white, illusory hand grabbed Theresa's arm.

"What the—" Theresa looked back in panic, only to see countless white hands extending from the wall, forcibly dragging her inside, even covering her mouth.

Siegfried rushed forward to save her but was stopped by Welt. Welt told Siegfried to calm down, that rushing in recklessly would be suicide.

Welt's decision was correct, but he was dealing with the wrong person. He was facing the head of the Kaslana family, the man who embodied the spirit of chivalry more than anyone else in the world today. Siegfried shook off Welt's hand, his tone grave.

"No matter how dangerous it is, I have to save Theresa. A Kaslana never abandons their comrades."

Siegfried touched the wall, wondering about the hands from just a moment ago. With a series of cracking sounds, a massive Emperor-class Honkai Beast drilled out of the wall. Siegfried, who had just made a heroic speech, was instantly dumbfounded.

"W-wait a minute!!"]

"He's absolutely right."

In St. Freya Academy, Kiana. In the Golden Courtyard, Kevin. At home, Siegfried. In "Otto and Kallen's Little Love Nest," Kallen.

Different locations, different people, all spoke in unison at the same time.

"I guess he has some conscience after all," Theresa sniffed. Getting her to change her opinion of Siegfried based solely on a story in an anime was simply impossible. Immediately after, she ground her teeth in renewed frustration.

Himeko, already slightly drunk, quietly moved away from Theresa and sat next to Senti.

"Eh?! Himeko, why did you move over here? Eww, you reek of alcohol, get away from me." Senti was confused for a moment, then covered her nose and mouth, waving her hand dismissively.

Himeko gave a mischievous smile, leaned on Senti's shoulder, and deliberately exhaled.

"Aaaah!!! Old Timer, aren't you going to do something about this?!" Senti scrambled behind Fu Hua on all fours.

Fu Hua, who had wanted to ignore them and watch the movie in peace, sighed helplessly. "Teacher Himeko, you're drunk."

"I'm not drunk," Himeko retorted stubbornly, still clutching a beer bottle.

"Sigh." Fu Hua sighed in resignation.

[Dragged into the building's space, Theresa saw Sirin's past. The initial evil came from Schicksal's deception. As a needle pierced Sirin's arm, Theresa turned her head sharply, witnessing Sirin's pain as a test subject.

"It hurts... it hurts... it hurts." Sirin endured unimaginable pain.

As a researcher's voice dismissed her like trash, the space changed. Sirin stood in the snow, facing a grave marked only by three tree branches. She muttered to herself, "Avrora... Agatha... Bella... Rest in peace."

Theresa hugged Sirin from behind and whispered, "I'm sorry."

"Heh, you're only just now thinking of apologizing?!" Sirin sneered. A brilliant blue energy lifted her slowly into the air. Her white test-subject gown burned away, transforming into a purple, feathered outfit. Long ribbons fluttered in the wind, and her golden eyes looked down at Theresa with hatred.

"It's too late. I will have my revenge. No one from Schicksal will be left alive!☆"]

"Sirin has it so rough," Kiana said. She always argued with Sirin, but she couldn't help but feel for her.

"Kiana, Sirin Kaslana is your second older sister, right?" Bronya suddenly asked.

"Yeah." Kiana was confused why Bronya would ask that. "What's wrong, Bronya?"

Bronya's expression was strange. At first, she thought Yàqīng had just made his own superior the main villain, but it turned out Yàqīng was even more ruthless than she imagined—he had used his own niece as the main villain.

"Then what's your uncle's relationship with Sirin like?" Bronya asked curiously.

"Mmm," Kiana thought for a moment, a look of distaste on her face. "Not good. When we were little, my stinky uncle always played pranks on me and Sirin. My stinky old dad told me that when I was really little, my stinky uncle took me to his company, and now every time he sees me, he says, 'I used to hold you when you were a baby, Kiana.'"

"Pfft."

It wasn't that funny on its own, but Kiana's impersonation was so comically awful that everyone in the room burst out laughing. The loudest laugh came from Senti.

"Hahaha, Old Timer, did you hear that? I never thought Yàqīng would do something like that. I thought he always had such a gentle personality," Senti said, slapping Fu Hua's back hard.

Fu Hua frowned. The girl was quite strong, and the slaps hurt a little. "Senti, don't hit my chest."

"Ah, chest? I thought it was your back..."

Before Senti could finish her sentence, she was met with a punch from Fu Hua. A large lump appeared on her head, and her eyes filled with tears.

"Him? Gentle?" Kiana looked incredulous. She recalled all the things Yàqīng had done, like stealing her lollipop, putting bitter melon powder in Sirin's snacks, and stealing the toilet paper before Sirin went to the bathroom, leaving her stuck there for three hours. Kiana shivered.

Bronya also looked baffled. She had heard stories about Yàqīng—how he had completely wiped out a century-old Schicksal family in three years and had forty-seven researchers sunk into the sea in a single day. What part of that had anything to do with being "gentle"?

[The scene cut to outside Babylon Tower, to the now-forgotten Salome and Shab. Shab was listlessly chewing on dried squid and was about to offer some to Salome. Salome grabbed her shoulders and shook her violently, reminding her that they were still on a mission. Shab retorted that while that was true, their allies were so powerful that there was no room for them to intervene. She then looked up at Einstein on top of Babylon Tower.

Einstein was controlling machines with a controller in her hand as if playing a game, blocking all the Honkai Beasts.

"A simple battle," Einstein remarked. "However, it seems I've forgotten something..."

"Achoo."

With a sneeze, the scene shifted to the Anti-Entropy encampment 30 kilometers away. A layer of snow had already accumulated on a certain red-haired doctor's head. She shivered and muttered to herself, "So slow... Why hasn't Dr. Einstein sent a communication yet! I'm going to catch a cold..."]

"Why does Dr. Einstein get to be so cool in the story while I'm just comic relief? I won't accept it!" Dr. Tesla fumed.

Dr. Einstein remained calm, even asking Joyce to bring her a cup of coffee. She said coolly, "Dr. Tesla, I feel you are very well-suited for the role of a comedic character."

"Dr. Einstein, I'm going to kill you!"

"The coffee! The coffee is going to spill!"

"So we're just extras," Shab typed in the chat.

"Correction, we're extras who die," Salome added.

"Heh." Cheng Lixue looked at her colleagues' chat on her phone screen, her mouth twitching. There was no need to keep reminding them that they wouldn't survive the later parts of the story.
